Bonner Knocks Out Trout in 2 To Win BKFC Lightweight Title

PHILADELPHIA– Benjamin Bonner scored an explosive one-punch knockout over former world boxing champion Austin Troutto win the BKFC Lightweight title at the Xfinity Mobile Arene

Early in round one, Bonner landed a right that put Trout on the canvas. Seconds into round two, Bonner landed a lunging long right hand that hit Trout right in the face and knocked him flat on his back and he could not beat the count at 30 seconds.

Bonner of Middlesbrough, England is 6-2 with four knockouts. Trout of Houston is 5-1.

Britain Hart Decisions Shell To Retain BKFC Strawweight Title

Britain Hart made the fifth defense of the BKFC Straweight championship with a split decision over Sarah Shell.

Scores were 48-47 for Hart twice and 48-47 Shel.

Hart of Bedford, VA is 11-3. Shell of Phoenix is 3-1.

Shell started to bleed from her nose as early as round two.

John Garbarino coasted to a unanimous decision over former BKFC Middleweight champion Mike Richman.

Garbarino of Philadelphia won by scores of 50-44 twice and 48-46 and is now 5-0. Richman of Fort Worth, TX is 8-4.

In round two, Garbarino landed a short jab that forced Richman to stumble to the canvas for a knockdown.

Cody Russell won a unanimous decision over Jake Bostwick in a middleweight fight that went to extra (sixth) round,

Russell of Philadelphia is 3-0. Bostwick of Coconut Creek, FL is 5-3-1.

After a flurry from Russell, Bostwick scored a knockdown with a counter right.

Zedekiah Montanez stopped Matthew Maestas in the opening round of their lightweight bout.

Montanez dropped Maestas with a leaping left hook to t the head that put him down on his back and began to bleed around the right. The fight was stopped with Maestas on his back at 1:39.

Montanez of Philadelphia is 2-1 with two knockouts. Maestas of Denver is 2-4.

Matthew Turnbull stopped Brandon Hovsnick in the opening round of their super featherweight bout.

Turnbull was credited with an eight-count after landing about 20 punches on a crouching Honsvick. Turnbull scored a knockdown after landing some hard shots that put Hovsnick down. After another flurry, that fight was stopped at 1:49.

Turnbull of Philadelphia is 1-0 with one knockout. Hovsnick of Utah is 1-4.

Lex Ludlow needed just nine seconds to destroy Drew Nolan in their cruiserweight bout.

Ludlow jumped on Nolan and unloaded a vicious flurry that dropped Nolan face first and the fight was stopped.

Ludlow of Levittown, PA is 4-0 with two knockouts. Nolan of Scnactady, NY is 1-4,

Pat Sullivan stopped Ruben Arroyo in the first round of their super lightweight bout.

In round one, Sullivan was all over Arroyo and sent him down with a right. Arroyo was bleeding from the right ear and the fight was stopped at 1:33.

Sullivan of Philadelphia is 2-2. Arroyo of Westminster, CO is 0-5.

Nicolas Willey won a split decision over Eric Westbury in a lightweight heavyweight bout.

Willey of Middletown, DE won two cards 30-27 and 29-28 while Westbury took a card 29-28.

Willey is 1-0. Westbury of Alexandria, VA is 0-2.

Malon Griffin dropped Billy Griffin five times en-round to a third round stoppage in a welterweight bout.

In round one, Griffin dropped Graves with a left hook. Later in the round, Griffin landed a hard jab to the chin that put Graces down. In round two, Griffin landed a hard right to the head that put Graves down. Seconds later, another brutal right put Graves on his back. In round three, a combination put Graves down and the fight was stopped at 1:02.

Griffin of Philadelphia is 1-0 with one knockout. Graves of Abeline, TX is 0-1.
