Two Worlds, One Champion: Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo Thriving in Bare Knuckle and Traditional Boxing

MIAMI, Fl (August 19, 2026) – Whether he’s fighting with gloves or bare knuckles, undefeated BKB Heavyweight World Champion Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo has established himself as one of the most dangerous heavyweight punchers in combat sports.

Trujillo, who owns a perfect 8-0 record with eight knockouts in BKB, has yet to see the second round in bare knuckle competition. At the same time, the Cuban powerhouse remains undefeated in traditional professional boxing at 12-0 with 11 knockouts and is currently ranked No. 13 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO).

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, Trujillo will return to his bare-knuckle roots when he defends his BKB Heavyweight World Championship against veteran challenger Mark “The Veteran” O’Neil (3-4) at BKB 58 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida.

For Trujillo, succeeding in two different versions of the sweet science requires more than punching power. Although traditional boxing and bare-knuckle boxing share many of the same fundamentals, he believes each discipline demands a different mentality and appreciation for the craft.

“I love both sports because each one brings something different out of me as a fighter,” said Trujillo. “Traditional boxing is about being patient, using your jab, setting traps, putting combinations together, and thinking several moves ahead. Bare knuckle is different. Everything happens so fast, and every mistake can cost you immediately. You have to be sharp, accurate, and completely focused. Boxing challenges my skills and patience, while bare knuckle challenges my instincts and toughness. I have a lot of respect for both.”

Trujillo’s extraordinary knockout percentage across both sports speaks to a rare ability to carry his power regardless of the rules or equipment. However, the champion says one of the biggest adjustments comes from understanding how punches affect an opponent differently when gloves are removed.

“The damage is definitely different,” Trujillo explained. “With bare knuckles, you feel every punch differently, whether you’re giving it or receiving it. Cuts can happen much quicker, and accuracy becomes extremely important because you also have to protect your hands. In traditional boxing, the gloves allow you to throw different combinations and generate damage over time, but heavyweight punches with gloves can still do serious damage. Neither one is easy. They’re just different kinds of battles, and you have to respect what each sport demands from your body.”

That versatility has helped make Trujillo a unique force. His BKB résumé has been defined by explosive finishes, with all eight victories coming by knockout in the opening round. In traditional boxing, 11 of his 12 opponents have also failed to hear the final bell.

Despite those numbers, Trujillo isn’t allowing his past success to create complacency heading into his title defense against O’Neil.

“The fans know my style, and they know I’m coming to fight,” Trujillo said when discussing what Miami can expect on August 29. “I’m going to bring pressure, power, and excitement, but I’m also going to be smart. Mark O’Neil is a veteran, and he’s a dangerous puncher. I’m preparing for the best version of him. As the reigning champion, I have to prepare like I’m the challenger every single time. My goal is to put on a performance the fans remember and walk out of that ring still the BKB Heavyweight World Champion.”

For Abe Swidan of Visionary Sports Group, who manages Trujillo, his fighter’s ability to remain undefeated while competing at a high level in two demanding combat sports makes his accomplishments even more impressive.

“What Gustavo is doing is extremely difficult,” said Swidan. “We’re talking about a fighter who is 8-0 with eight knockouts in BKB and 12-0 with 11 knockouts in professional boxing while climbing into the WBO world rankings. These are two different disciplines that require different approaches, yet Gustavo has been able to dominate in both. That tells you how talented, adaptable, and dangerous he truly is.”

Swidan believes Trujillo’s success has positioned him for significant opportunities on both sides of his career, but the focus remains on continuing to improve rather than simply celebrating what has already been accomplished.

“The exciting part is that Gustavo is still developing,” Swidan continued. “He’s a world champion in BKB, he’s internationally ranked in professional boxing, and he’s creating a path that very few fighters have been able to navigate successfully. Our goal is to continue building both sides of his career and put him in the biggest fights possible. But first, he has business to handle on August 29, and he understands that better than anyone.”

For Trujillo, BKB 58 represents another opportunity to demonstrate that his success isn’t defined by gloves, bare knuckles, rankings, or records. It’s defined by his ability to adapt, compete, and perform whenever the bell rings. On August 29, “The Cuban Assassin” will once again step into the BKB ring with his heavyweight championship, undefeated record, and perfect first-round knockout streak on the line.

Gustavo Trujillo Stays Undefeated with Devastating Seventh-Round Knockout at Fist of Fury 11

HOLLYWOOD, FL (June 29, 2026) – Last night, undefeated heavyweight contender Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo continued his march toward a world title, improving to 12-0 with 11 knockouts after scoring a spectacular seventh-round knockout over Calvin Barnett (7-6, 4 KOs) in the scheduled 10-round main event of Fist of Fury 11 on Sunday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The event was promoted by Kris Lawrence’s The Heavyweight Factory Promotions.

Currently ranked #14 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and reigning as the BKB Heavyweight Champion (8-0, 8 KOs), Trujillo once again showcased why he is quickly becoming one of the most dangerous heavyweights in boxing.

From the opening bell, Trujillo controlled every aspect of the fight with his educated jab, punishing body attack, and relentless pressure. After systematically breaking Barnett down over six dominant rounds, Trujillo closed the show in the seventh with a thunderous straight right hand to the head, sending Barnett crashing to the canvas. Unable to beat the count, Barnett was counted out, giving Trujillo his eleventh knockout victory in twelve professional fights.

The emphatic victory further strengthens Trujillo’s growing reputation as one of the heavyweight division’s fastest-rising contenders. Following another dominant performance, Trujillo said his goal is to continue improving while giving fans the exciting finishes they have come to expect.

“Every time I step into the ring, I want to put on a performance that shows how much I’ve grown as a fighter,” said Trujillo. “Getting another knockout is always satisfying, but what I’m most proud of is staying patient and following the game plan. My team prepared me to break my opponent down round by round, and that’s exactly what happened. Once I saw he was slowing down, I knew it was time to finish the job. I respect every opponent I face, but when the opportunity presents itself, I’m going to take it. I believe every fight is another step toward becoming a complete heavyweight, and tonight was another major statement.”

With another impressive victory behind him, Trujillo made it clear that he is ready to test himself against the biggest names in the division. Discussing his future, Trujillo issued a confident message to the heavyweight division.

“I’m ready for anyone in the top ten,” Trujillo said. “I don’t care where they’re ranked or what their name is. My job is to fight whoever is put in front of me and prove I belong with the best heavyweights in the world. I know I still have things to learn, but I also know I have the talent, power, and confidence to compete with anyone. If a top-ten fighter wants the challenge, I’m ready. These are the kinds of fights I’ve been working toward my entire career, and I believe my time is coming.”

The victory also represents another important milestone as Trujillo continues climbing the world rankings. Reflecting on what the win means for his career, Trujillo believes his momentum continues to build.

“Every win is important, but victories like this help move my career forward,” Trujillo, who is a promotional free agent explained. “I’m continuing to build experience, improve my rankings, and show people that I’m serious about becoming a world champion. My confidence keeps growing because I see the hard work paying off every time I fight. I know bigger opportunities are coming, and I’ll be ready when they arrive. My focus remains the same, keep winning, stay active, and keep putting on performances that make people remember my name.”

While Trujillo’s professional boxing career continues its upward trajectory, he remains proud of simultaneously holding the BKB Heavyweight Championship. Speaking about balancing success in both sports, Trujillo welcomed the opportunity to remain active.

“It’s a great feeling to be ranked in the top 15 by the WBO while also being the BKB Heavyweight Champion,” said Trujillo. “I’m proud of everything I’ve accomplished in both sports because they’ve helped make me a better fighter. Right now, my focus is on continuing to climb the boxing rankings while defending my BKB title later this August. Staying active keeps me sharp, and every time I compete, I gain more experience. No matter which ring I’m in, my goal is always the same, to win and represent my team, my family, and Cuba with pride.”

Visionary Sports Group manager Abe Swidan believes Trujillo is only beginning to reach his enormous potential.

“Gustavo continues to prove that he’s one of the most exciting heavyweights in the sport,” said Swidan. “What impresses me isn’t just the knockouts, it’s how much he improves every time he fights. He got some good rounds in tonight. His composure, discipline, and ability to follow a game plan are developing at an incredible pace. He’s becoming a complete heavyweight, and that’s exactly what you want to see from a future contender.”

Swidan also believes Trujillo’s ceiling remains extraordinarily high.

“The sky is truly the limit for Gustavo,” Swidan continued. “He’s undefeated, he’s world ranked, he’s a champion in another combat sport, and he’s only scratching the surface of what he’s can accomplish. He has all the physical tools, an outstanding work ethic, and the mentality of a champion. We believe it’s only a matter of time before he’s fighting for major titles against the biggest names in the heavyweight division. We’re excited about what’s ahead because Gustavo is proving with every performance that he belongs on boxing’s biggest stage.”

With another highlight-reel knockout now on his résumé, Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo continues his rapid ascent toward world title contention as one of the sport’s most dangerous rising heavyweights.

GUSTAVO TRUJILLO’S REMARKABLE JOURNEY CONTINUES AS REIGNING BKB HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION CLIMBS THE PRO BOXING RANKS

MIAMI, FL (June 23, 2026) – Few fighters in combat sports today can claim success in multiple disciplines, but undefeated heavyweight contender Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo is proving he is a rare exception.

Already the reigning BKB Heavyweight Champion (8-0, 8 KOs), and one of the most feared punchers in bare-knuckle fighting, Trujillo (11-0, 10 KOs) in boxing, has simultaneously established himself as one of professional boxing’s fastest-rising heavyweight contenders. Currently ranked # 14 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO), the Cuban-born knockout artist continues to build momentum as he pursues world title opportunities while defending his status as one of combat sports’ most dominant champions.

For Trujillo, a promotional free agent, balancing championship success in BKB while climbing the professional boxing rankings represents a unique challenge, one he embraces wholeheartedly.

“It feels great to be the BKB Heavyweight Champion while also moving up the rankings in professional boxing,” said Trujillo. “Not many fighters are doing both at the same time. Every time I fight, no matter what sport, I want to show people that I belong at the highest level. Being the BKB heavyweight champion gives me confidence, but my focus is still on getting better every day and reaching the top of the heavyweight division in boxing.”

Trujillo’s rise has been fueled by his explosive power and aggressive style, traits that have made him a fan favorite in both sports. In BKB competition, his dominance has been nothing short of spectacular, with every one of his victories ending by knockout. The reigning champion admits that the bare-knuckle format perfectly suits his fighting mentality.

“I love fighting in BKB because the fans know they’re going to see action,” Trujillo explained. “I go in there looking to finish the fight. So far I’ve been able to knock everybody out, and that’s what people want to see. I respect every opponent, but when that bell rings, I’m coming to win and make a statement.”

Even more impressive is the manner in which Trujillo has secured those victories. Every one of his BKB wins has come by first-round knockout, a remarkable feat that has established him as one of the sport’s most dangerous champions. According to Trujillo, his continued development as a professional boxer has played a major role in his bare-knuckle success.

“Everything I’m learning in boxing is helping me in BKB,” said Trujillo. “My timing is better. My footwork is better. I’m more patient and more accurate with my punches. Because of that, I’ve been able to get all my BKB wins in the first round. The experience I get in boxing helps me stay sharp, and when I go back to BKB, I feel stronger and more complete as a fighter.”

Fresh off a devastating first-round stoppage of veteran Sergio Ramirez Marin on May 30, Trujillo will return to action on June 28, 2026, when he faces Calvin Barnett (7-5, 4 KOs) in a scheduled 10-round main event at “FIST OF FURY 11” at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The event is promoted by Kris Lawrence’s The Heavyweight Factory Promotions.

As impressive as his accomplishments have been, Trujillo shows no signs of slowing down. Following his June 28 boxing appearance, he is expected to defend his BKB Heavyweight Championship later this summer, with an August date and venue to be announced.

For now, however, his full attention remains on Barnett and continuing his ascent up the heavyweight rankings. Rather than taking extended time off after his most recent knockout victory, Trujillo and his team made the decision to remain active, believing consistent activity is the key to reaching championship opportunities.

“I want to stay busy and keep improving,” Trujillo said. “Every fight teaches me something. Every fight helps me move closer to my goals. I feel stronger than ever right now, and I want to take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way.”

Trujillo’s unique success in both disciplines has not gone unnoticed by those closest to his career. His manager, Abe Swidan of Visionary Sports Group, believes the Cuban heavyweight is accomplishing something rarely seen in modern combat sports.

“What Gustavo is doing right now is truly special,” said Abe Swidan, CEO of Visionary Sports Group. “Very few fighters can dominate one combat sport, let alone two. He’s the reigning BKB Heavyweight Champion, he’s undefeated in professional boxing, he’s ranked by the WBO, and he’s continuing to knock people out at an incredible rate on both sides. The experience he’s gaining in boxing is making him a better bare-knuckle fighter, and the toughness he’s developed in BKB gives him an edge in boxing. It’s a perfect combination. We believe Gustavo has all the tools to become a major force in the heavyweight division in boxing, while continuing to reign as one of the most dominant champions in BKB.”

Swidan added that Trujillo’s commitment to staying active has been a major factor in his rapid development and growing reputation throughout combat sports.

“He’s never satisfied,” Swidan continued. “Most fighters would take time off after a knockout win, but Gustavo always wants to get back in the gym and improve. That’s the mentality of a champion. Whether it’s boxing or BKB, he approaches every fight with the same goal, to make a lasting impression. That’s why we’re so excited about what the future holds.”

HEAVYWEIGHT CONTENDER GUSTAVO “THE CUBAN ASSASSIN” TRUJILLO RETURNS JUNE 28 IN MAIN EVENT OF “FIST OF FURY 11”

MIAMI, FL (June18, 2026) – Fresh off another devastating knockout victory, undefeated heavyweight contender Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo (11-0, 10 KOs) will make a quick return to the ring when he faces Calvin Barnett (7-5, 4 KOs) of Port Orange, Florida, in a scheduled 10-round main event at “FIST OF FURY 11” on June 28, 2026. The fight will take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Hollywood, Florida.

The event is presented by Kris Lawrence’s The Heavyweight Factory Promotions and will feature one of boxing’s fastest-rising heavyweight contenders as Trujillo continues his march toward world title contention.

Currently ranked #14 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Trujillo enters the bout following an impressive first-round stoppage of veteran Sergio Ramirez Marin (22-9, 12 KOs) on May 30. The emphatic victory marked the tenth knockout of his professional career and further solidified his reputation as one of the division’s most dangerous punchers.

Rather than taking time off following his latest triumph, Trujillo, the current BKB Heavyweight Champion, and his team elected to remain active and continue building momentum. As he prepares for another quick turnaround, Trujillo spoke about the value of remaining active while continuing his climb through the heavyweight rankings.

“Right now, activity is extremely important for me,” said Trujillo. “Every time I step into the ring, I gain more experience and continue developing as a professional heavyweight. I feel great physically, I came out of my last fight healthy, and there was no reason to sit around waiting. The heavyweight division is very competitive, and I want to stay active, stay sharp, and continue proving that I belong among the top contenders. My goal is to keep building momentum and take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way.”

The Cuban-born heavyweight is expected to enjoy strong local support as he competes in South Florida, an area that has embraced him throughout his professional career. Trujillo believes fighting in front of a supportive crowd provides an extra layer of motivation heading into each contest.

“South Florida has become a second home for me and the fans here have supported me from the beginning,” Trujillo said. “Every time I fight in this area, I can feel the energy and encouragement from the Cuban community and all the boxing fans who come out to support me. It means a lot because they understand the sacrifices that go into this sport. Their support motivates me to work harder and perform at my best. I’m looking forward to putting on another exciting show for everyone who comes out on June 28.”

With a world ranking already secured and momentum continuing to build, Trujillo understands the significance of every fight as he pursues bigger opportunities in the heavyweight division. The hard-hitting contender believes another impressive victory will move him one step closer to the elite level of the sport.

“Every win matters when you’re trying to reach the top of the heavyweight division,” said Trujillo. “I’ve worked my entire life to get into this position, and now it’s about continuing to climb the rankings and earning the opportunities I’ve been chasing. A strong performance on June 28 will keep me moving in the right direction and show the boxing world that I’m ready for bigger challenges. I respect every opponent that steps into the ring with me, but my focus is on becoming a world champion, and every fight is another step toward making that dream a reality.”

Trujillo’s manager, Abe Swidan of Visionary Sports Group, believes the undefeated heavyweight is positioning himself perfectly for a breakout run on the world stage.

“Gustavo’s career is exactly where we want it to be right now,” said Swidan. “He’s continuing to stay active, he’s gaining valuable rounds and experience, and most importantly, he’s making a statement every time he fights. Being ranked No. 14 by the WBO is a significant accomplishment, but we believe that’s only the beginning. Gustavo possesses rare athleticism, tremendous punching power, and an incredible work ethic. He’s still improving with every training camp, and we’re confident that if he continues on this trajectory, he’ll soon be knocking on the door of the top ten and eventually competing for a world championship. The future is very bright for him.”

GUSTAVO TRUJILLO CONTINUES HEAVYWEIGHT ASCENT WITH DEVASTATING FIRST-ROUND TKO

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (June 1, 2026) – Undefeated heavyweight contender, Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo (11-0, 10 KOs), currently ranked WBO #14, continued his rapid rise through the heavyweight ranks with another explosive performance, stopping veteran Sergio Ramirez Marin (22-9, 12 KOs) in the opening round of their scheduled 10-round heavyweight showdown this past Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the historic War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The event, promoted by American Dream Presents, showcased Trujillo’s growing reputation as one of the division’s most dangerous punchers. Trujillo wasted no time imposing his will on Marin, systematically breaking down the durable veteran with crushing body shots before finishing the contest in spectacular fashion.

From the opening bell, Trujillo, the current BKB Heavyweight Champion, demonstrated the combination of power, precision, and patience that has become his trademark. The Cuban heavyweight, who is a promotional free agent, sent Marin to the canvas twice with devastating body attacks that visibly drained the veteran’s resistance. After Marin courageously rose from both knockdowns, Trujillo closed the show with a thunderous uppercut that produced a third knockdown. Seeing Marin in no condition to continue, the referee waved off the bout after a ten count, awarding Trujillo a first-round technical knockout victory.

The emphatic win further cements Trujillo’s status as one of the fastest-rising contenders in the heavyweight division and extends a knockout streak that has boxing fans and industry insiders taking notice. Reflecting on his electrifying performance, Trujillo expressed satisfaction with the execution of his game plan while emphasizing his continued development as a complete fighter.

“Every time I fight, I want to give the fans something exciting to watch and show why the heavyweight division is so entertaining,” said Trujillo. “I felt great from the start and stuck to the game plan. I stayed patient, landed my shots, and took advantage of the openings when they came. The body punches helped wear him down, and once I saw the chance to land the uppercut, I went for it. Getting a knockout is always a great feeling, but what means the most to me is seeing all the hard work I put in during training pay off on fight night. I feel like I’m getting better with every fight, and this performance showed that.”

With his impressive winning streak continuing to grow, Trujillo remains focused on achieving his lifelong goal of becoming heavyweight champion of the world. “Ever since I started boxing, I’ve dreamed of becoming the heavyweight champion of the world,” stated Trujillo. “That’s what drives me every day in training and keeps me motivated to keep getting better. I know there are a lot of great fighters in the heavyweight division right now, but I believe in myself and what I bring to the ring. I have the power, work ethic, and determination to reach the top. I’m not looking for easy fights or shortcuts. I want to earn my place by taking on tough challenges and proving myself every time I step into the ring. My goal is to win a world title and make my family, my country of Cuba, and all the people who support me proud.”

The win over Marin was another big step forward for Trujillo as he continues climbing the heavyweight ranks and moving closer to bigger opportunities. “This win means a lot to me because it shows that I’m getting better every time I step into the ring and that I’m ready for tougher opponents and bigger fights. Every fight teaches me something and helps me grow as a fighter. Performances like this let the boxing world know that I’m serious about becoming one of the top heavyweights out there. I’ve worked very hard to get where I am today, but I know there’s still a lot more to accomplish. This victory gives me more confidence, more experience, and brings me one step closer to the opportunities I’ve been chasing. I want fans and boxing people to see that I’m becoming a real threat in the heavyweight division.”

Never one to stay inactive for long, Trujillo made it clear that he is eager to return to action as soon as possible. “I feel great, and I want to stay active,” concluded Trujillo. “My team and I will sit down and evaluate the best opportunity, but if everything goes according to plan, I’d love to be back in the ring later this summer or early fall. The most important thing is continuing to stay busy, keep improving, and maintain the momentum we’re building. I respect every opponent, but I’m ready for the next challenge whenever it comes. The fans deserve exciting fights, and I intend to keep delivering them.”

Trujillo’s manager, Abe Swidan of Visionary Sports Group, believes the Cuban knockout artist possesses all the attributes necessary to emerge as the next major heavyweight star from Cuba.

“What Gustavo demonstrated on Saturday evening was far more than raw punching power,” said Swidan. “What impressed me most was his ability to systematically dismantle an experienced opponent. He invested intelligently in the body, remained patient under pressure, and finished the fight with remarkable precision. Those are qualities that separate legitimate contenders from merely exciting prospects.”

Swidan went on to praise Trujillo’s combination of talent, work ethic, and star potential.

?”The great heavyweight champions have always had more than just power, they have dedication, discipline, and the right mindset. Gustavo has all of those qualities,” Swidan concluded. “He approaches boxing like a true professional, works incredibly hard in the gym, and is always looking to improve. What stands out to me is that he’s not only a gifted athlete, but he’s also willing to put in the work necessary to reach the top. Cuba has produced many outstanding fighters over the years, and I believe Gustavo has what it takes to become the next Cuban heavyweight star on the world stage. Every fight he looks better, and performances like this show he’s ready for bigger opportunities. We believe he can compete with the best heavyweights in the sport and eventually fight for a world title. The exciting part is that he’s still improving, and I don’t think we’ve seen the very best of Gustavo yet.”

TRAINING CAMP NOTES: Gustavo Trujillo Looks to Continue his Rise in the Heavyweight Division

MIAMI, FL (May 20, 2026) – Undefeated heavyweight contender Gustavo “The Cuban Assasin” Trujillo (10-0, 9 KOs), currently ranked WBO #14, is entering the next phase of his boxing journey with purpose and determination as he prepares to face Sergio Ramirez Marin (22-8, 12 KOs) in a scheduled 10-round heavyweight bout on May 30, 2026, at the historic War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The event will be promoted by American Dream Presents.

Already viewed as one of the sport’s most dangerous rising heavyweights, Trujillo, who is the reigning BKB Heavyweight Champion, has built an impressive reputation with his explosive punching power and relentless style inside the ring. Now, with another important test in front of him, the Cuban-born knockout artist believes this fight represents much more than another win on his record, it represents another step toward making history.

Having recently completed an intense training camp in Miami under the guidance of longtime trainer Herman Caicedo, Trujillo says this camp has pushed him to another level physically and mentally.

“This training camp with coach Herman Caicedo has been one of the best camps of my career because we’re working smarter, being really calculated on every drill,” said Trujillo. “Every day has had a purpose. We focused on sharpening every part of my game, my conditioning, my movement, my timing, my defense, and making sure my power stays dangerous from the first round to the last. Herman understands where I want to go in this sport and what I need to become to get there. We’re building something bigger than just winning fights…we’re building a complete heavyweight that can compete with anybody in the world. I feel stronger, faster, and more focused than ever, and I believe people are going to see that on fight night.”

While Trujillo has become known for his devastating finishing ability, he is approaching Ramirez Marin with complete respect and focus, understanding that experienced opponents can present dangerous challenges.

Discussing the matchup itself, Trujillo made it clear that he expects a determined opponent but plans to impose his will from the opening bell.

“Sergio Ramirez Marin is a veteran fighter with experience and toughness, and I know he’s coming to fight,” Trujillo stated. “Guys like him have seen a lot and they’ve been through battles, so I don’t overlook anybody. But when I step into that ring, I believe in my preparation, and I believe in my abilities. I’m hungry right now. Hungry fighters are dangerous fighters. I don’t just want to win, I want to end the fight early. Every fight is an opportunity to show people that I’m improving and that I belong with the best heavyweights in the world. On May 30, I’m coming to apply pressure, stay disciplined, and leave no doubt, why I’m the heavyweight everyone should be talking about.”

For Trujillo, victory on May 30 would move him another step closer to accomplishing a dream that extends far beyond personal success. The undefeated contender has often spoken about carrying the pride of Cuba with him every time he steps into the ring and his desire to make history. Trujillo believes his mission is bigger than himself.

“A win in this fight means progress toward something I’ve thought about for a long time,” Trujillo said. “I want to become the first Cuban heavyweight champion in boxing history. That’s not just a title to me, it’s a legacy. I want to open doors for future Cuban heavyweights and show that anything is possible through sacrifice and hard work. I know I still have a long road ahead of me, and I know nothing is given in this sport, but every fight gets me one step closer. That’s what drives me every morning. I don’t want to be remembered as just another fighter…I want to be remembered as someone who made history.”

Competing in South Florida also gives Trujillo the added motivation of performing in front of many of the people who have supported him throughout his journey. With family, friends, and supporters expected to fill the venue, Trujillo says fighting close to home adds extra emotion to the occasion.

“Fighting in South Florida always means something special to me because this community has shown me a lot of love,” Trujillo explained. “To have my family and friends there supporting me gives me energy that you can’t explain. They’ve been with me through sacrifices, through difficult moments, and through this journey from the beginning. When I walk into that arena and hear people cheering for me, I want to give them something memorable. I want them to leave saying they saw someone chasing greatness.”

Trujillo’s manager, Abe Swidan of Visionary Sports Group, believes all the hard work and dedication shown throughout camp will be on full display when the bell rings.

“Gustavo has put himself through an incredible training camp and he’s approaching this fight with the mindset of someone who knows bigger opportunities are on the horizon,” said Swidan. “We’ve watched him continue to evolve as a fighter with every camp and every fight. He’s committed himself completely to the process, and that’s why we’re confident in what people will see on May 30. The work he’s put in behind the scenes has been tremendous, and I believe fight fans are going to witness another major step forward in his development.”

As Trujillo continues climbing the heavyweight ranks, May 30 presents another opportunity for the undefeated contender to strengthen his growing reputation and move closer to his ultimate goal of making boxing history.

We have taken the right approach in overseeing his development, ensuring that each fight equips him for high-level competition. This bout is a key milestone, and we expect fans will see why he’s the #1 heavyweight contender to watch.

“The Cuban Assassin” Scores Devastating 1st Round Knockout to Remain Undefeated

MIAMI, FL (March 10, 2026) — Undefeated heavyweight slugger, Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo (10-0, 9 KOs) delivered another electrifying performance this past Saturday night, stopping Phillip Penson (8-6-3, 2 KOs) of Orlando, Florida, with a crushing first-round knockout in the 10-round main event of “Havoc at the Hilton 3” at the Hilton in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The action-packed event was promoted by Mike Sawyer Promotions.

From the opening bell, Trujillo, who is managed by Abe Swidan of Visionary Sports Group, imposed his will on the fight, pressing forward aggressively and forcing Penson onto the defensive. The powerful Cuban heavyweight wasted no time setting the tone, applying relentless pressure that left Penson struggling to find space or rhythm. Midway through the opening round, Trujillo landed a barrage of thunderous body shots that sent Penson crashing to the canvas. The damage proved too much, as Penson was unable to continue, giving Trujillo another emphatic knockout victory and sending the crowd into a frenzy.

The performance once again showed Trujillo’s explosive power and fan-friendly fighting style, giving credit to his reputation as one of the most dangerous heavyweights in the division.

Reflecting on his dominant victory, Trujillo spoke about the mindset he brought into the fight and his determination to deliver an exciting performance for the fans. “I came into this fight ready to send another message to the heavyweight division. When I step into the ring, I want people to feel my energy and see the power that I bring. I trained hard for this moment, and I knew if I stayed aggressive and applied pressure, the knockout would come. The heavyweight division is about excitement and action. Fans want to see fighters who are willing to go after it, and that’s exactly what I did. I’m grateful for the support and I’m just getting started.”

Trujillo remains deeply motivated by his roots and the legacy of Cuban fighters who paved the way before him. “I grew up watching great fighters from Cuba, and they inspired me to chase this dream. Every time I step in the ring, I’m fighting for my country and my people. I want the world to see how strong Cuban fighters are, especially in the heavyweight division. My goal is simple…I’m fighting to make Cuba the home of the first heavyweight world champion in our history.”

With another knockout added to his record, Trujillo believes the victory marks another important step forward in his rise through the heavyweight ranks. “Every fight is about proving that I belong among the best heavyweights in the world. This win keeps my momentum going and shows that I’m ready for bigger challenges. I’m building my name one fight at a time. Victories like this help open doors, and I’m focused on continuing to climb the rankings until I’m competing for a world title.”

The Cuban knockout artist is eager to remain active and continue his rapid ascent. “I want to get back in the ring as soon as possible. I feel strong, confident, and I want to stay busy this year. The more I fight, the sharper I become. I’m hungry for more opportunities and ready to keep showing fans what ‘The Cuban Assassin’ is all about.”

Ibrahim “Abe” Swidan, President of Visionary Sports Group, believes Trujillo’s latest performance confirmed what many in the boxing community are beginning to realize that the Cuban heavyweight has the potential to become a major star.

“Gustavo possesses a rare combination of athleticism, power, and discipline that you seldom see in the heavyweight division,” said Swidan. “What impressed me most in this performance was not just the knockout itself, but the composure and confidence he displayed while applying pressure. Cuba has produced some of the most technically gifted fighters in boxing history, and I firmly believe Gustavo has the ability to carry that legacy forward. After a performance like this, our focus is to move him up the rankings on a fast track and position him for increasingly meaningful fights. With his talent and work ethic, I truly believe he has the potential to become the next big star from Cuba.”

With another highlight-reel knockout on his résumé, Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo continues to build momentum as one of the heavyweight division’s most dangerous rising contenders. If his latest performance is any indication, the road ahead for the undefeated Cuban powerhouse could lead to very big stages in the near future.

Undefeated Heavyweight Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo Returns to Headline “Havoc at the Hilton 3” March 7 in Florida

MIAMI, FL (March 5, 2026) — Undefeated heavyweight knockout artist Gustavo “The Cuban Assassin” Trujillo (9-0, 8 KOs) will return to the ring this Saturday, March 7, 2026, when he headlines “Havoc at the Hilton 3” at the Hilton in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The 10-round main event will see Trujillo take on Phillip Penson (8-5-3, 2 KOs) of Orlando, Florida in a clash promoted by Mike Sawyer Promotions. Now under the guidance of Ibrahim “Abe” Swidan of Visionary Sports Group, and currently a promotional free agent, Trujillo is positioning himself to make a powerful impact in the heavyweight division as he continues his pursuit of world-title contention.

ON HIS MATCHUP WITH PHILLIP PENSON

Trujillo is approaching his upcoming opponent with respect but remains focused on delivering another dominant performance. “Penson is a tough fighter and he’s coming to win, especially fighting in his home state,” said Trujillo. “But I’ve trained too hard to let this opportunity slip. Every opponent is dangerous in the heavyweight division, so I take every fight seriously. When the bell rings, fans will see the same thing they always see from me, aggression, power, and the will to finish the fight.”

Originally from Morón, Ciego de Ávila, Cuba, and now fighting out of Miami, Florida, Trujillo has quickly built a reputation as one of the most dangerous rising heavyweights in the sport. Known for his electrifying fighting style and devastating power in both hands, Trujillo enters the bout holding the WBO Latin American Heavyweight Title and carrying an impressive 8 knockouts in 9 professional victories.

ON RETURNING TO THE RING AND STAYING ACTIVE

After an impressive run across multiple combat sports, Trujillo is eager to stay active and continue building momentum inside the boxing ring. “I’m excited to be back in the ring. Fighting is what I love to do, and this year I want to stay busy and keep sharpening my skills,” Trujillo explained. “The more I fight, the more dangerous I become. 2026 is about activity and progression. I want fans to see me regularly and watch my evolution as a heavyweight contender.”

ON CLIMBING THE HEAVYWEIGHT RANKINGS

With the WBO Latino title already around his waist, Trujillo knows that every victory brings him closer to world-level opportunities. “Every fight is a step toward the top of the heavyweight division,” said Trujillo. “Winning this fight in impressive fashion will help me climb the rankings and move closer to bigger fights. I’m here to dominate and make the heavyweight division feel my presence.”

Beyond the boxing ring, Trujillo, who has been under the guidance of renowned trainer Herman Caicedo, has demonstrated remarkable toughness and versatility across combat sports. Together the duo have had much success over the past two years, winning the WBO Latin American Title, and top 15 ranking in the heavyweight division. He is currently undefeated in Bare Knuckle Boxing with a perfect (8-0, 8 KOs) record, with all eight victories coming by first-round knockout. Trujillo also holds the BKB Heavyweight Championship, further solidifying his reputation as one of the most dangerous and fearless competitors in the heavyweight ranks.

Before transitioning to professional combat sports, Trujillo was a standout member of the Cuban National Team in Greco-Roman wrestling, where his athleticism and discipline earned him recognition as one of the country’s elite athletes.

ON HIS GOALS FOR 2026

Looking ahead, Trujillo believes this year could be pivotal in his career. “My goal for 2026 is simple…keep winning, keep knocking people out, and move into position for major fights,” he said confidently. “I want the world to know my name. I believe I have the talent, the power, and the mindset to become one of the top heavyweights in the sport.”

MANAGER ABE SWIDAN PRAISES TRUJILLO’S POTENTIAL

Ibrahim “Abe” Swidan, President of Visionary Sports Group, believes Trujillo has all the tools necessary to make history. “Gustavo Trujillo is a rare athlete. His background in elite-level Greco-Roman wrestling, combined with his natural punching power and fearless mentality, gives him a unique advantage in the heavyweight division. Cuba has produced many legendary fighters, but the heavyweight division remains a frontier yet to be fully conquered. I firmly believe Gustavo has the talent, discipline, and work ethic to become the first Cuban heavyweight world champion. He possesses the physical tools and the champion’s mindset needed to reach that level.”

As Trujillo prepares to headline “Havoc at the Hilton 3,” fans can expect fireworks when one of boxing’s most exciting heavyweight prospects steps into the ring. For Trujillo, this fight represents another step toward a much bigger goal…heavyweight supremacy.

IMPORTANT BIOS

In an era of rising Cuban stars that includes David Morrell Jr., Andy Cruz and others, Yoenli Hernández is looking to change the perception of Cuban fighters as risk-averse combatants. With knockout victories in seven of his eight pro bouts, Hernandez is one of the most exciting fighters to come out of the current wave of Cuban boxers looking to overtake the sport.

Originally from Camaguey, Cuba, Hernandez had an outstanding amateur career, competing for the Cuban National Team internationally. He abandoned the Cuban delegation in May 2023 during a stopover in Panama, and is now living in Providence, Rhode Island.

The undefeated Hernández competed at the 2021 AIBA World Boxing Championships, winning the gold medal at middleweight.

After his first two pro fights took place in Mexico, Hernandez’s last six outings have come stateside. His last bout, in May of this year, saw him win the toughest test of his career to date, a shutout unanimous decision over established contender Kyrone Davis (then 19-3-1, 6 KOs). The formidable Davis is a stablemate of former Interim WBA Super Middleweight Champion Caleb Plant, but Hernandez had little trouble controlling him in a dominant performance.

In addition to the experience gained under the bright lights of fight night, Hernandez has been buoyed by rounds spent sparring with former multi-weight, undisputed champion and future hall of famer Canelo Alvarez.

Originally from Havana, Cuba, 30-year-old Armando Martinez Rabi is a former top international amateur for the esteemed Cuban National Team and has also competed in the World Series of Boxing and Team Combat League. Quick and agile, Martinez Rabi can stand right in front of his opponents and seldom get touched while firing world-class power shots of his own that have resulted in knockouts in 14 of his 15 professional wins, dating back to his debut in 2021. Martinez Rabi had his first nine fights in Dubai before relocating to the United States. He has also already held the WBC Latin Championship, which he won via TKO 3 over Argentina’s Damian Alejandro Rojas.

Martinez Rabi was last seen in July impressively knocking out formerly undefeated power puncher Albeiro Paredes in two rounds to retain his WBC and WBA Continental Lightweight Championships. Fighting in the main event of the last Fists of Fury event, Martinez Rabi studied Paredes for a round, Martinez Rabi stepped up his attack in the second and landed a devastating right hand around the left glove that dropped Paredes for Referee Frank Gentile’s full 10 count at 1:09.

Heavyweight Gustavo Trujillo brings a diverse combat sports background to boxing, having practiced both boxing and Greco-Roman wrestling from a young age. By age 10, he joined the Provincial Youth Greco-Roman Wrestling team, and at 17, he was a member of the Cuban National Olympic team, ranking second in the 97-kilogram category. His impressive combat sports record includes 26 victories with his last 22 wins coming by first-round knockout across Bare Knuckle, MMA, and Boxing.

In July 2024, he achieved significant success in Bare Knuckle boxing, becoming the Heavyweight Champion of the World and the Police Gazette Diamond Belt holder and Unified Champion—a historic title dating back to 1889. Standing an imposing 6′ 5″ and currently ranked #1 in the heavyweight division and #2 in the light-heavyweight division in Bare Knuckle world rankings, he’s earned the moniker “Most Dangerous Heavyweight.”
