She went on to face Amanda Galle on MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 15 in September 2025, and most recently earned a 4th round TKO over Maria de Lourdes Garcia in March 2026.

#7 WBA and #12 WBO contender Jan Paul Rivera, the 24-year-old sensation from Salinas, Puerto Rico, was a decorated member of the Puerto Rican National Boxing Team, compiling over 200 amateur bouts and earning two consecutive Puerto Rico Elite National Championships in 2020 and 2021, along with a silver medal at the 2018 AIBA Youth World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Since turning professional, Rivera has quickly risen through the ranks, displaying exceptional technical skill, power, and composure while remaining undefeated across fights in the United States, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia. Most recently, he secured a dominant unanimous decision victory over Daniel Bailey at MVP Fight Night in August 2025. He defeated Alfredo Cruz on Serrano vs. Tellez in January 2026 and Conrado Martinez in February 2026.

Abraham Perfecto is a 23-year-old professional boxer from Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. The 5’8” prospect made his professional debut in 2021 with a TKO win and has been growing his name ever since. With four of his last five fights ending in knockout victory, Perfecto now looks to take on his next test in Jan Paul Rivera.

Pedro “Black Diamond” Da Silva Conceição is a 24-year-old Brazilian welterweight rising star fighting out of Boca Raton, Florida. Born in Espírito Santo, Brazil, Conceição brings a decorated amateur pedigree to the professional ranks. A three-time Brazilian national champion, Conceição also represented his country at the 2018 Youth Continental Championships in Colorado Springs and the 2018 Youth World Championships in Budapest, solidifying his reputation as one of Brazil’s most promising young talents at 147 pounds. He turned pro in 2022 and has built an undefeated record of 5-0, with 3 KOs. He earned a brutal second-round knockout over Renny Viamonte on MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 14 in August 2025, his third straight knockout and a showing that earned him the MVP Performance of the Night bonus. Most recently, he defeated Gabriel Adryan Soares for the Brazilian welterweight title. 

Boxlab Promotions’ and Brownsville, Texas’s Sebastian Juarez is an undefeated 20-year-old prospect and younger brother to Omar Juarez, made his pro debut in 2023 and has remained undefeated since, winning his last two bouts by TKO in June and August 2025. Juarez faced Demarcus Layton on MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 16 in October 2025, winning by first round TKO. He most recently defeated Ernesto Sanchez Rodriguez by decision in February 2026.

Rance Ward is a professional boxer from Houma, Louisiana. The 32-year-old made his professional debut in 2019, and has built a winning record since. Following a unanimous decision win in 2025, he suffered a setback loss in April 2026 and now looks to re-establish his winning streak against Juarez.

Orlando’s Cuban Olympian Dainier “The Fear” Pero, defending WBA Continental USA heavyweight champion, is a 26-year-old 6’5” talent who will make his sixth appearance on the Most Valuable Prospects series following his current six-bout TKO winning streak. Pero, coming to the ring from Orlando, Florida by way of Camaguey Cuba, has been a series regular and crowd favorite, competing on Most Valuable Prospects 5, 6, 7, 10, and 12 where he most recently defeated Cesar “Chaka” Navarro in defense of his title. He has retired back-to-back opponents since in January and February 2026. Pero is promoted by Boxlab Promotions.

Angelo “Bulldog” Hernandez is a four-time National Champion with a 70-10 amateur record. A proud Mexican fighter from Tampa, Florida, Angelo made his pro debut in October 2025 with a first-round KO of Adam Vean. The 20-year-old prospect’s ultimate goal is to become a multiple-division world champion, and he’s committed to proving he belongs among the sport’s elite every time he steps into the ring.

José Manuel Fernandez is a professional boxer from Cabimas, Zulia, Venezuela. He came to the United States in search of greater opportunities to advance his boxing career and pursue his dream of competing at the highest level. José has dedicated himself to the sport since the age of nine, building his foundation through years of hard work, discipline, and perseverance. José is coming off two consecutive knockout victories. His most recent performance was another dominant showing, the result of intense preparation and his commitment to making the most of every opportunity. 

Jadden Addison is a 21-year-old prospect from Tampa, Florida. He most recently earned a first round TKO defeat of Zavier Davis on the undercard of MVP’s MVPW-04: Oshae Jones vs. Elia Carranza 2 in June 2026 and now returns looking to extend his unbeaten streak as a pro. His opponent, James Webb, is a 29-year-old prospect from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Webb made his pro debut in October 2025, winning by unanimous decision.

On the preliminary card, MVP’s #7 WBA and #14 WBO featherweight contender Jan Paul Rivera (13-0, 7 KOs) will take on San Juan native Alfredo “El Salsero” Cruz (10-3-1, 5 KOs) in an 8-round featherweight bout at 126 lbs, showcasing two of Puerto Rico’s finest rising talents in a can’t-miss showdown. Rivera, the 24-year-old sensation from Salinas, Puerto Rico, was a decorated member of the Puerto Rican National Boxing Team, compiling over 200 amateur bouts and earning two consecutive Puerto Rico Elite National Championships in 2020 and 2021, along with a silver medal at the 2018 AIBA Youth World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Since turning professional, Rivera has quickly risen through the ranks, displaying exceptional technical skill, power, and composure while remaining undefeated across fights in the United States, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia. Most recently, he secured a dominant unanimous decision victory over Daniel Bailey at MVP Fight Night in August 2025. His opponent, 28-year-old Alfredo “El Salsero” Cruz, is a San Juan, Puerto Rico native, who comes to the ring after taking a unanimous decision win over Carlos Arrieta-Torres in October 2025.

Lebron is currently Boxrec’s #1-ranked Puerto Rican talent at 130lbs following his most recent victory to win the vacant IBF Latino Super Featherweight title and the WBO NABO super featherweight titles in a 10-round unanimous decision over Christopher Diaz in December 2024. He is currently the IBF #6, WBO #8, and WBA #8 contender at 130lbs. Lebron will face Brownsville, Texas rising contender Juan “Johnny Blaze” Tapia (14-4, 5 KOs). The 32-year-old won his latest bout by TKO in March 2025. 

Aguada, Puerto Rico’s Chris “The Punisher” Echevarria (9-1, 4 KOs) will also return to the ring on the preliminary card. After a difficult loss in his pro debut in 2021, Echevarria has rebounded with an active nine-win streak. The 25-year-old talent most recently defeated Charlie Clemente-Andino by second round KO in December 2024 and followed the stoppage with a dominant 10-round unanimous decision over David Quijano-Garcia in June 2025. He will face Cidra, Puerto Rico’s Gabriel Bernardi (7-3, 5 KOs). The 29-year-old aims to rebound after his two latest tough fights and re-establish himself as a contender to watch in the division. 

MVP’s rising bantamweight contender and Amanda Serrano’s protege, Krystal Rosado (7-1, 2 KOs) will also join the Serrano vs. Cruz 2 card. She is currently the WBO #5, IBF #8 and WBA #9 contender. In round one, Rivera dropped Bailey with a left hook. Rivera dominated and in round six, Bailey landed an onslaught of punches in cluding a right that put Bailey on the canvas. Finally the bout was stopped at 2:58.

Marksman Stops Martinez in 7

Corey Marksman stopped Luis Martinez in round seven of their eight-round lightweight out.

His relentless series of power combos earned him a first round TKO win against Tamez, and a second round TKO against Jones. Pero comes to the ring from Orlando, Florida by way of Camaguey, Cuba. With his formidable size, Pero will present a difficult challenge on Friday, July 26, as the heavy-hitter seeks to defend his undefeated streak for the eighth time against James Evans.

James Evans (7-1-1, 7 KOs) comes to the ring from Toledo, Ohio. He first took up boxing after high school, finding his natural power and athleticism well-suited to the sport. These natural talents allowed him to rise in the amateur ranks before eventually competing in the US amateur national tournaments in 2017, 2018 and 2019. After turning pro at the end of 2019, Evans’ seven wins have each come by knockout. He fought to a draw with fellow prospect Steven Torres, and suffered his one loss by stoppage when the pair rematched on short notice in July 2023. Evans is trained by Andy Bell, the father of unbeaten Toledo featherweight “Prince” Albert Bell. Coming to the ring fresh off his latest second-round KO victory in March 2024, Evans will match Pero’s 6’5” size, looking to surprise the local Orlando favorite with a quick knockout on Most Valuable Prospects 7. 

Joining the preliminary card will be the young local talent Damazion “Mazirati” Vanhouter (6-0, 3 KOs) vs. Cody Kerr (3-2-1, 1 KO). The 19-year-old Vanhouter, fighting out of St. Petersburg, Florida, returns to the series after making waves on the Serrano vs. Ramos and Most Valuable Prospects 3 undercard with a decisive UD victory over Nafys Anas Garner. Vanhouter will put his undefeated record on the line in a 6-round heavyweight fight against the 6’3” 24-year-old Kerr, who comes to the ring from Spearfish, South Dakota. 

Also joining the card for a 4 round super featherweight bout will be 19-year-old Carlos De Leon Castro (1-0, 1 KO). Born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico, De Leon Castro is a promising young talent in the boxing world. Starting his boxing journey at age six, he is guided by his father and trainer, Carlos De León Hernandez. His early start and rigorous training led him to 11 Puerto Rican national championship wins in the amateur ranks. He aims to become the next great Puerto Rican star to emerge from the island, following in the footsteps of boxing legends Tito Trinidad and Miguel Cotto. Alongside Vahouter vs. Kerr and Carlos De Leon Castro’s preliminary bouts will be a 6 round lightweight bout featuring 18-time national champion and WBO Youth World Champion Kaipo Gallegos (5-0-1, 4 KOs) vs. Armando Frausto (10-4-1, 5 KOs). Gallegos, the Las Vegas native, is currently ranked #16 in the world by the WBO at just 18 years old and is promoted by Shuan Boxing and Boxlab Promotions. Making his second appearance on the Most Valuable Prospects series is the 23-year-old star prospect Yoenis Tellez (7-0, 6 KOs), who will take on the more experienced and fellow undefeated knockout machine Joseph Jackson in a highly-anticipated 10-round super welterweight headliner in defense of the WBA Continental Latin Americas title. Tellez, from Stafford, Texas by way of Santiago, Cuba, initially made a name for himself in the opening PPV bout of the Terrence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. welterweight championship unification showdown, in which Tellez took on the far more experienced Sergio Ramos and dealt Ramos a brutal 3rd round knockout, the seasoned Garcia’s third loss in 37 professional matches – and his first loss by TKO. Tellez spent most of his youth in Cuba as an amateur boxer, winning national youth titles in 2017 and 2018 before moving to Russia in 2020 to make his pro debut. Tellez eventually moved to Texas in 2022 to begin training with Ronnie Shields. In his most recent appearance in the ring on the Jake Paul vs. Andre August & Most Valuable Prospects IV main card, Tellez secured the WBA Continental Latin Americas title with his jaw-dropping knockout of Livan Navarro in the 10th round. Joseph Jackson (19-0, 15 KOs), Tellez’s 35-year-old challenger for the WBA Continental Latin Americas title, comes to the ring by way of Greensboro, North Carolina off three straight knockout wins, adding to his already impressive undefeated resume. Jackson’s biggest win to date was over Derrick Colemon Jr., which resulted in a unanimous decision for Jackson as he handed Colemon his first and only loss to date on Showtime’s Shobox series in February 2020. 

In the co-main feature on MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects VI will be the thrilling 8-round lightweight rematch of Mexico vs. Puerto Rico between fan favorites Benigno Aguilar (11-0-1, 4 KOs) vs. Alexander Rios (8-1, 3 KOs). Each fighter is making their third appearance on Most Valuable Prospects following top-performance moments in the series, including Rios’s first round knockout of Javier Ailla on Most Valuable Prospects II. In their last matchup on the historic card of Amanda Serrano vs. Danila Ramos and Most Valuable Prospects III in October 2023, the two each put their undefeated records on the line, with Aguilar fighting to a nail-biting split decision victory over Rios. Aguilar solidified his victory as he scored a major knockdown of Rios down in the fifth round as the two traded a thundering series of body and face shots across the bout. Rios most recently notched another win in March, and now seeks to settle the score against Aguilar. 

Also on the main card will be a 6-round battle between featherweights Jan Paul Rivera (8-0, 5 KOs) and David Perez (9-0, 2 KOs). Rivera, the 22-year-old prospect from Salinas, Puerto Rico, was a decorated member of the Puerto Rican national boxing team as an amateur, competing in over 200 bouts. His amateur accolades include winning two straight Puerto Rico Elite National Championships in 2020 and 2021, as well as the Puerto Rico Youth National Championships in 2018 and 2019. He also earned a silver medal at the AIBA Youth World Championships in Budapest, Hungary in 2018. Across his 8-fight professional career to date, Rivera has competed across the USA, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Colombia, furthering his aspirations to become a global star in the sport. David Perez, the 26-year-old talent from Tulsa, Oklahoma, recently bested then-6-0 William Green in September 2023, and looks to take his first major step up in competition to test his undefeated record against Rivera on Friday, April 26.

KISSIMMEE, Florida (June 21, 2022): Top talents from Puerto Rico will be featured on the Gonzalez-Barrigaundercard on Friday, June 24 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida and live on ProBox TV.

As previously announced, Jonathan “La Bomba” Gonzalez (25-3-1, 14 KOs) will defend his WBO Junior Light Flyweight Title against Mark Anthony “Baby Boy” Barriga (11-1, 2 KOs) in the 12-round main event.

In the co-main event, Axel “Mini” Vega (15-4-1, 8 KOs) of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico takes on Venezuelan puncher Angelino “Huracan” Cordova (16-0-1, 12 KOs) in a 10-rounder for the WBO Latino Junior Flyweight Title. 

The following undercard bouts are scheduled to stream live on ProBox TV beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.

·      Hakim Lopez (12-0, 8 KOs), a light heavyweight prospect from Ellenwood, Georgia with roots in Puerto Rico, will face Cruse Stewart (8-0, 6 KOs) of Rock Island, Illinois in an eight-round battle.

·      Najee Lopez (4-0, 4 KOs), the younger brother of Hakim, will face Colombian Olympian Jeysson Monroy (1-0, 1 KO) in a cruiserweight tilt scheduled for six rounds.

CLE, OH (March 23, 2022) – Boxing manager Tim VanNewhouse has four fighters in action this Friday, March 25th, as ProBox Promotions, will put on a show at the ProBox Events Center in Plant City, Florida. Streamed live via their Youtube Channel beginning at 6:00 PM EST. Featherweight Jan Paul Rivera (pro debut), middleweight Darrelle Valsaint (2-0, 1 KO), super-middleweight Daniel Blancas (pro debut), and cruiserweight Najee Lopez (3-0, 3 KOs), will all be in-action.

Jan Paul Rivera, a featherweight and a highly ranked international amateur will be making his pro debut on this card.

“I am excited for the next steps in my career, and I have dreams of becoming a future world champion,” said the proud Puerto Rican fighter, Rivera. “I am looking to become a legend in the sport, and you only get one pro debut, so I want to make it as memorable as possible as I look to put on a show that everyone will enjoy.”

2020 Olympian Darrelle Valsaint is a Haitian middleweight who showed a lot of promise at every level of amateur boxing.

“I am ready to make my country proud,” stated Valsaint. “I want to represent my country on the world stage of professional boxing and bring a world title back to Haiti. Many think of me as a boxer, but I am more than that – I have a lot of intangibles such as power, speed, and other stuff people can’t explain.”

The six-foot, four-inch light heavyweight, Daniel Blancas is ready to show the world that he is here to take over his division.

“I am excited about this bout, and I look to show people that my style is better suited for the pros,” Blancas said. “I have a style that is hard to deal with for six, eight or ten rounds, and people would try to avoid me at the highest level of amateur boxing, and even then – most didn’t win. I look forward to showing the world what I can do.”

Finally, Cruiserweight Najee Lopez is looking to be the next great American cruiserweight. With only three pro fights, all coming by way of stoppage, Lopez is looking the part of a star, very early into his career. Lopez is going into this fight with confidence after recently defeating Alex Theran, who has fought at the world contender level.

“I am excited to show what I can do on this card and continue proving to the world that I am the next great cruiserweight,” said the 22-year-old power puncher Lopez. “I want to fight for a world title in the not-too-distant future, and ProBox, my manager, and my team as a whole are putting me in a position to be the face of this division. I am excited for the future and that will show on Friday.
