MONTREAL, October 26, 2026 — The identities of the 14 boxers who will be in action on November 12 at the Casino de Montréal are now known. In his first career main event, two-time continental champion Jhon Orobio will face undefeated prospect Hendri Cedeno, while in the co-main event, world top-3 cruiserweight contender Lenar Perez will go head-to-head with former EOTTM prospect Artur Ziyatdinov.

“With Jhon Orobio, we want to send a clear message: we are convinced that he is one of the biggest prospects in world boxing, and we intend to prove it by giving him challenges worthy of his talent. Hendri Cedeno represents exactly that type of opponent. Like Jhon, he is young, undefeated and ambitious. He has proven himself on MVP and Matchroom cards, climbed into the world top 15 and gained extensive experience on the international amateur scene. Matching two boxers of this calibre at this stage of their careers is a risk few promoters would be willing to take. But that is precisely what demonstrates our absolute confidence in Jhon and our ambitions for the next chapter of his career,” said EOTTM president Camille Estephan.

Originally from the Dominican Republic and now based in the United States, Hendri Cedeno (16-0, 12 KO) arrives in Montréal brimming with confidence, boasting an unblemished record through 16 fights. Nicknamed “La Bazuka,” he captured the WBO Intercontinental super-lightweight (140 lb) title in his last outing in April 2025. The victory propelled him to 11th in the WBO world rankings before an injury forced him into a period of inactivity and led to his removal from the rankings.

Now fully recovered, Cedeno intends to pick up where he left off and derail Jhon Orobio’s (19-0, 17 KO) meteoric rise, with the ambition of taking his WBA and WBC continental titles. The older brother of Olympian and Top Rank prospect Euri Cedeno, “La Bazuka” has also built an impressive international résumé as an amateur. Having travelled the world and faced the likes of Andy Cruz and Devin Haney, the Dominican is no ordinary opponent and intends to prove it during his visit to Montréal.

In the co-main event, EOTTM prospect Lenar Perez (17-0, 15 KO) will attempt to defend his WBA continental cruiserweight (200 lb) title against an opponent well known to Québec boxing fans. The four-time Cuban national amateur champion will face Artur Ziyatdinov (17-3, 14 KO), a former Eye of the Tiger and coach Marc Ramsay prospect.

The 30-year-old Uzbek made his professional debut under the EOTTM banner, fighting his first 12 bouts with the organization between 2017 and 2020. Returning to Montréal in 2024, he put up a strong fight against champion Albert Ramirez before playing a key role as a sparring partner in Artur Beterbiev’s preparation for his victory over Dmitrii Bivol. Since moving up to cruiserweight, Ziyatdinov has recorded two consecutive victories in February and March 2026. He now returns to familiar territory, but with a very different mission: to upset his former team’s plans and leave Montréal with Lenar Perez’s belt.

“Artur is an excellent technician, a disciplined and methodical boxer who punches with authority with both hands. He is the kind of opponent you absolutely cannot take lightly. This fight represents a decisive step in Lenar Perez’s career and will allow us to assess just how ready he is to take on the division’s elite,” commented Samuel Décarie-Drolet, Perez’s new trainer, who previously worked in Ziyatdinov’s corner.

Also featured on the card, as previously announced, Montréal’s Steven “BangBang” Butler (38-6-1, 32 KO) and Laval’s Erik “Bzo” Bazinyan (32-1-1, 23 KO) will face off in an all-EOTTM showdown. Undefeated prospect Avery Martin Duval (16-0-1, 8 KO) will take on Polish veteran Damian Wrzesinski (29-4-3, 7 KO). Canadian Olympic medalist Wyatt Sanford (8-0, 4 KO) will face hard-hitting Mexico City native Gabriel Jimenez (14-1-1, 9 KO). EOTTM newcomer Keven Beausejour (4-0, 4 KO) will square off against Charles Cox (2-0, 2 KO) in a battle of undefeated prospects. Finally, opening the card, five-time Golden Gloves champion Nickenson Denis (2-0, 2 KO) will step into the ring for the third time in five months against Ghanaian boxer Philip Quartey (4-2, 3 KO).

The event headlined by Jhon Orobio for the first time sold out in record time, just 24 hours after tickets went on sale. MONTREAL, September 24, 2026 — After 19 wins in as many fights and a meteoric rise through the world rankings, Jhon Orobio is ready for the next step. On November 12, at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal, Eye of the Tiger will hand the reins of a main event to its 22-year-old Colombian prodigy for the very first time.

“I made it a point of honour to give Jhon Orobio his first main event after his last fight. It’s one thing for us, as promoters, to say that our boxers are the best, but in this case, it’s practically unanimous. His two nominations for The Ring Magazine awards already prove it, but I would add that after the fight against Moran, a WBC executive told me that he already believed Jhon was capable of beating anyone in the division,” said EOTTM President Camille Estephan.

Widely regarded as one of the best young talents in the sport, Jhon Orobio (19-0, 17 KO) was nominated for The Ring Magazine Prospect of the Year award in 2024 and 2025. Already a two-time WBC and WBA continental champion at super-lightweight (140 lbs), he has won and defended his titles by demolishing Zsolt Osadan, Ivan Basurto, Xolisani Ndongeni, Yomar Alamo, Jonathan Montrel and Antonio Moran over the past 18 months alone. With 17 stoppage wins in 19 fights, an impressive 89% rate, Orobio has quickly carved out a place among the elite of his division. At just 22 years old, the protégé of Marc Ramsay is already ranked No. 7 in the world by both the WBC and WBA, while also holding the No. 12 spot in the IBF rankings.

But Orobio’s rise in Quebec has not taken place solely inside the ring. Arriving in Montréal in 2023 without speaking French, the Colombian learned the language in just three years, demonstrating his desire to fully integrate into his new home and the community that quickly embraced him.

The co-main event will feature Lenar Perez (17-0, 15 KO), who will make a quick return to the ring after scoring one of the biggest victories of his career on September 3. That night, the WBA continental cruiserweight (200 lbs) champion stopped two-time world title challenger Thabiso Mchunu in the eighth round, becoming the first boxer to accomplish the feat since Oleksandr Usyk in 2016. Now ranked No. 4 in the world by the WBA, No. 9 by the IBF and No. 10 by the WBO, the powerful Cuban now wants to capitalize on his momentum and continue his progression toward his first world championship fight.

While Orobio and Perez look to solidify their places among the world elite, two familiar faces to Quebec boxing fans will have something very different to prove on November 12 — both to EOTTM and to themselves. Steven Butler and Erik Bazinyan will square off in a pivotal bout that could very well determine the direction of their respective careers.

“I recently stated that I wanted to see Steven Butler retire, and I won’t hide from that. His health is, and always will be, my priority. That being said, the final decision was Steven’s, and out of respect and honour for everything we have accomplished together over 45 fights, I told him that if he can prove to me that he still has what it takes for one last run, I would be ready to do it alongside him,” commented Camille Estephan, who has worked with Butler since 2014.

Last June, two-time world title challenger Steven Butler (38-6-1, 32 KO) delivered a valiant performance at the legendary Madison Square Garden, where he notably sent hard-hitting New Yorker Edgar Berlanga to the canvas. But if the Montréal native wants to prove that he can keep the flame burning, his opponent, Laval’s Erik Bazinyan (32-1-1, 23 KO), will have to show that he still possesses it as well. Out of the ring since his September 2024 fight against Jaime Munguia, “Bzo” has since withdrawn from the aforementioned fight against “BangBang” on three occasions, prompting EOTTM to suspend the Armenian-born boxer. Saying that he has overcome his demons, and having displayed impeccable dedication in training over the past few months, Bazinyan now says he is ready to return stronger than ever.

The opponents for the main event and co-main event will be announced in the coming days, as will those for the undercard. The latter will include undefeated prospect Avery Martin Duval (16-0-1, 8 KO), Canadian Olympic medallist Wyatt Sanford (8-0, 4 KO), as well as EOTTM’s newest signing, Keven Beausejour (4-0, 4 KO), joined by the five-time Golden Gloves champion Nickenson Denis (2-0, 2 KO).

Albert Ramirez remained undefeated and retained the WBA Interim Light Heavyweight Title with a 12-round split decision over Lerone Richards at The Montreal Casino in Montreal, Canada.

It was a tactical fight that saw Richards befuddle Ramirez.

Ramirez,174.7 lbs of El Vega, VEN took two cards by 115-113 twice and Richards took a card 116-112.

Ramirez is 23-0. Richards, 174.6 lbs of New Malden, UK is 19-2.

Imam Khataev stopped Mickeal Diallo in the opening round of their 10-round light heavyweight bout.

With both guys throwing right hands, Diallo’s landed and the glove of Khataev touched the canvas. Seconds later, Khataev landed a hard right that bout Diallo. Diallo looked at his corner and wanted no more and the fight was stopped at 3:00.

Jhon Orobio remained undefeated as he battered Jonathan Montrel in round four of a 10-round junior welterweight fight.

In round four, Orobio dropped Montrel after battery of punches. Later in the round, a hard right to the body put Montrel down again. Finally Oriobio landed more ripping body shots and the fight was stopped at 2:15.

Dzmitry Asanau remained undefeated with a sixth round stoppage over Roger Gutierrez in a 10-round lightweight fight.

In round six, Asanau dropped Gutierrez with a body shot. Seconds later, Asanau dropped Gutierrez with a hard uppercut and the fight was over at 1:51.

Asanau, 134.9 lbs of Dubai is 13-0 with seven knockouts. Gutierrez a former junior lightweight world champion from Venezuela is 29-8-1.

Avery Martin Duval reasoned undefeated with a 10-round unanimous decision over Jose Enriquez in a lightweight fight.

Duval, 134.5 lbs of Montreal won by scores of 100-90 on all cards and is now 16-0-1. Enriquez, 134.3 lbs of Monterrey, MEX is 22-5-2.

Wyatt Sanford stopped Juan Pablo Harregui in round two of their eight-round lightweight bout.

Butler landed a huge right to the head froze Rolls defenseless on the ropes. Butler landed two more left hooks as the referee stopped the fight at 1:05.

Iglesias Destroys Coceres in 1

Osleys Iglesias took out former world title challenger Marcelo Coceres in the opening round of their 10-round super middleweight bout.

Iglesias landed one shot to the temple that put Coceres down. Coceres tried to get to his feet, but could not and the fight was over at 2:06.

Lepage-Joanisse wins WBC Heavyweight Title

In a slugfest, Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse won the vacant WBC Heavyweight title with a 10-round split decision over Abril Vidal.

In round three, Lepage- Joanisse began to bleed from her nose. The two traded heavy shots throughout the entertaining scrap.

Lepage-Joanisse, 173.3 lbs of Saint Andre-Auccin, QUE won by scores of 97-93 twice while Vidall took a card 96-94.

In round two, Santana landed a left to the body that was followed up by two hard rights that put Fox on the canvas. Santana continued to land flush punches and the bout was stopped at 2:29

Christopher Guerrero remained undefeated with a third round stoppage over Vesselin Markov in a scheduled six-round welterweight bout.

In round three, Guerrero landed a left hook to the body that froze Markov. Guerrero landed another right to a wounded Markov and he took a knee and could not get up at 3:00.

Moreno Fendero made a successful pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Uziel Bueno in a super middleweight bout.

In round three, Fundero dropped Bueno with a right hook.
