Most Valuable Prospects VI, presented by CELSIUS Live Fit Essential Energy, will feature thirteen undefeated rising stars and will feature ten fights total with a total combined record of 97-4-2 with 59 KOs. The event will be headlined by top-ranked super welterweight Yoenis Tellez (7-0, 6 KOs) vs. Joseph Jackson (19-0, 15 KOs) for the WBA Latin America Continental Championship. Heavyweight Danier Pero (6-0, 4 KOs), the 24-year-old 6’5” Cuban talent, will return to Most Valuable Prospects following his decisive second-round KO win over Joe Jones at Most Valuable Prospects V in February 2024. The Olympian comes to the ring from Las Vegas, Nevada by way of Camaguey, Cuba. Pero will challenge a to-be-announced opponent in a 6-round heavyweight battle. With his formidable size, Pero will present a difficult challenge on Friday, April 26th, as the heavy-hitter seeks to continue his undefeated streak. Pero and his opponent will face off on the main card of Most Valuable Prospects VI alongside lightweights and local favorites Aguilar vs. Rios and featherweights Rivera vs. Perez ahead of the main event showdown between world-class super welterweight Yoenis Tellez vs. Joseph Jackson for the WBA Latin America Continental Championship.

In the preliminary rounds, MVP will host a series of star young prospects as they battle for victory on Friday, April 26th. Joining the foray of must-watch bouts will be Amanda Serrano’s newest signee, Alexis Chaparro, who will make his professional debut on the card in a four-round middleweight fight. The 23-year-old Chaparro, born in Puerto Rico and raised in Ridgewood, New York, is a three-time national boxing champion who competed at both the 2020 and 2024 USA Boxing Olympic trials. The gifted athlete is also a high fashion model, having worked for Versace, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, and Polo Ralph Lauren, among others. Dove will face off with Alyssia Lopez in an 4-round flyweight bout as the Cleveland native and 3x Golden Gloves champion Lopez makes her professional debut. Super featherweight DeMichael Harris (10-0-1, 9 KOs) will face a to-be-announced opponent in a 6-round fight as the Decatur, Georgia fighter looks to continue his undefeated streak after his three latest victories over opponents with winning records. Rounding out the card, the four-time US national champion and 20-year-old Texas native Xavier Bocanegra (3-0, 2 KOs) will face Carlos Andre Dos Santos Rocha (3-3, 2 KOs) of São Paulo, Brazil in a four-round featherweight fight, and Tampa, Florida’s Ariel Perez (2-0, 1 KO) will face Stephen Motley (1-0, 1 KO) in a four-round light heavyweight bout.

Most Valuable Prospects VI will be headlined by #10-ranked WBA super welterweight Yoenis Tellez (7-0, 6 KOs) vs. Joseph Jackson (19-0, 15 KOs) for the WBA Latin America Continental Championship and will be presented by CELSIUS Live Fit Essential Energy. Making his second appearance on the Most Valuable Prospects series is the 23-year-old star prospect Yoenis Tellez (7-0, 6 KOs), who will take on the more experienced and fellow undefeated knockout machine Joseph Jackson in a highly-anticipated 10-round super welterweight headliner in defense of the WBA Continental Latin Americas title. Tellez, from Stafford, Texas by way of Santiago, Cuba, initially made a name for himself in the opening PPV bout of the Terrence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. welterweight championship unification showdown, in which Tellez took on the far more experienced Sergio Ramos and dealt Ramos a brutal 3rd round knockout, the seasoned Garcia’s third loss in 37 professional matches – and his first loss by TKO. Tellez spent most of his youth in Cuba as an amateur boxer, winning national youth titles in 2017 and 2018 before moving to Russia in 2020 to make his pro debut. Tellez eventually moved to Texas in 2022 to begin training with Ronnie Shields. In his most recent appearance in the ring on the Jake Paul vs. Andre August & Most Valuable Prospects IV main card, Tellez secured the WBA Continental Latin Americas title with his jaw-dropping knockout of Livan Navarro in the 10th round. Joseph Jackson (19-0, 15 KOs), Tellez’s 35-year-old challenger for the WBA Continental Latin Americas title, comes to the ring by way of Greensboro, North Carolina off three straight knockout wins, adding to his already impressive undefeated resume. Jackson’s biggest win to date was over Derrick Colemon Jr., which resulted in a unanimous decision for Jackson as he handed Colemon his first and only loss to date on Showtime’s Shobox series in February 2020. 

In the co-main feature on MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects VI will be the thrilling 8-round lightweight rematch of Mexico vs. Puerto Rico between fan favorites Benigno Aguilar (11-0-1, 4 KOs) vs. Alexander Rios (8-1, 3 KOs). Each fighter is making their third appearance on Most Valuable Prospects following top-performance moments in the series, including Rios’s first round knockout of Javier Ailla on Most Valuable Prospects II. In their last matchup on the historic card of Amanda Serrano vs. Danila Ramos and Most Valuable Prospects III in October 2023, the two each put their undefeated records on the line, with Aguilar fighting to a nail-biting split decision victory over Rios. Aguilar solidified his victory as he scored a major knockdown of Rios down in the fifth round as the two traded a thundering series of body and face shots across the bout. Rios most recently notched another win in March, and now seeks to settle the score against Aguilar. 

Also on the main card will be a 6-round battle between featherweights Jan Paul Rivera (8-0, 5 KOs) and David Perez (9-0, 2 KOs). Rivera, the 22-year-old prospect from Salinas, Puerto Rico, was a decorated member of the Puerto Rican national boxing team as an amateur, competing in over 200 bouts. His amateur accolades include winning two straight Puerto Rico Elite National Championships in 2020 and 2021, as well as the Puerto Rico Youth National Championships in 2018 and 2019. He also earned a silver medal at the AIBA Youth World Championships in Budapest, Hungary in 2018. Across his 8-fight professional career to date, Rivera has competed across the USA, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Colombia, furthering his aspirations to become a global star in the sport. David Perez, the 26-year-old talent from Tulsa, Oklahoma, recently bested then-6-0 William Green in September 2023, and looks to take his first major step up in competition to test his undefeated record against Rivera on Friday, April 26.

Reading, PA (September 20, 2022)– This Friday night, popular and local bantamweight Jonathan Rodriguez will take on tough veteran Oscar Vazquez in the main event of a tremendous night of professional boxing on Friday, September 23rd at The Wind Creek Events Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. 

The card is promoted by King’s Promotions.

Rodriguez of Bethlehem, has a record of 10-1-1 with three knockouts. The 23 year-old is a four-year professional, and will be looking for his biggest win of his career, and doing it in front of his hometown fans.

This will be his fifth appearance at The Events Center, and he is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over Jose Flores Canez on March 11th at The Wind Creek Events Center.

Vazquez of Sun Valley, Nevada is 15-3-1 with three knockouts. The 35 year-old has a win over Jose Toribio (6-1), and is now looking to get back in the win column after losing a unanimous decision to undefeated Ja’Rico Quinn on January 17, 2020 in Sloan, Iowa.

A slew of King’s Promotions undefeated prospects will be featured in undercard bouts.

In a eight-round lightweight co-feature, surging lightweight James Bernadin takes on an opponent to be named 

Bernadin of Lancaster, Pennsylvania is 7-0-1 with four knockouts. The 29 year-old has been matched tough and has come through with flying colors as he has defeated Osvaldo Morales (4-0), Edgar Torres (8-2-1) and his bout when he took a unanimous decision over Kenny Robles (9-1) on May 20th in Philadelphia.

Also in an eight-round bout will be undefeated junior middleweight Joseph Jackson taking on Anthony Lenk.

Jackson of Greensboro, North Carolina is 17-0 with 13 knockouts. Jackson, 33 has defeated Monreco Goldston (5-0-1) and a nationally televised win over Derrick Colemon Jr. (11-0). In Jackson’s last bout, he stopped Terrance Williams in the opening round on June 5, 2021 in Philadelphia.

Lenk of Niagara Falls, New York is 17-9 with seven knockouts. Lenk, 34, has quality wins over Rufino Flores (1-0),Danny Escobar (6-0), Boyd Henley (8-0-1) and Edwin Soto (13-2-2). Lenk is coming off a 10-round defeat to Ian Green on June 11th in Miami.

In a six-round bout, Julian Gonzalez (6-0-1, 6 KOs) of Reading, PA takes on Rondale Hubbert (14-23-3, 8 KOs) of Duluth, Minnesota in a lightweight contest.

Also in a six-round bout, undefeated light heavyweight, Joseph George (11-0, 7 KOs) of Houston, Texas takes on an opponent to be named.

Lenk of Niagara Falls, New York is 17-9 with seven knockouts. Lenk, 34, has quality wins over Rufino Flores (1-0),Danny Escobar (6-0), Boyd Henley (8-0-1) and Edwin Soto (13-2-2). Lenk is coming off a 10-round defeat to Ian Green on June 11th in Miami.

PHILADELPHIA–Devar Ferhadi won an eight-round unanimous decision in a battle of super middleweights that headlined the King’s Promotions matinee portion of a day-night doubleheader at the 2300 Arena.

Ferhadi of Frederick, Maryland, won by scores of 80-72 and 79-73 twice to raise his perfect mark to 9-0. Mansfield, of Burlington, NC is 7-4-1.

Andrew Rodgers scored an upset as he took a six-round unanimous decision over Greg Outlaw in a junior welterweight fight.

The fight was hotly contested throughout with Rodgers getting inside on the longer Outlaw. In round five,, the pressure of Rodgers forced a knockdown.

That was the difference in the fight as Rodgers won by scores of 58-55 twice and 57-56 to improve to 5-9. Outlaw of Bowie, MD is 8-1.

Joseph Jackson remained undefeated with an opening round stoppage over Terrance Williams in a junior middleweight bout.

Jackson landed a perfect left hook to the body that sent Williams down for the 10-count at 2:42.

Jackson of Greensboro, NC is 17-0 with 13 knockouts. Williams of Harrisburg, PA is 5-5-1.

Christian Bermudez remained undefeated with a 47 second stoppage over Lawrence Mertagh in a junior welterweight bout.

Bermudez of Brooklyn is 4-0 with three knockouts. Mertagh of Brooklyn was making his pro debut.

Kashon Hutchinson stopped previously undefeated Edgar Torres 46 seconds into round one of their scheduled six-round welterweight bout.

In round one, Hutchinson dropped Torres with a flurry of head shots. Hutchinson followed up with a some flush power shots, and the fight was stopped after a perfect left to the head that rocked Torres at 46 seconds.

Hutchinson of Reading, PA is 8-5 with two knockouts. Torres of Springfield, VA is 8-1-1.

Quadir Albright stopped Isaac Hayne in the opening round of a battle of pro debuting junior welterweights.

Albright landed a leaping right that sent Haynes down and the fight was stopped 65 seconds into the contest.

Albright of Philadelphia is 1-0 with one knockout/ Haynes of Albany, NY is 0-1.

Reading, PA (March 12, 2021)– King’s Promotions is proud to announce the signing of undefeated super welterweight contender Joseph Jackson to a promotional contract.

Jackson, 32 of Greensboro, North Carolina, has a record of 16-0 with 12 knockouts.

Jackson came to the sport late at the age of 23, and had a very brief amateur career that saw him have just two fights (1-1).

“This is a great opportunity. At this point of my career, I need a promoter that will get me to a world title, (King’s Promotions CEO) Marshall Kauffman showed me love when I came to Philadelphia to fight on ShoBox, and now a year later, I am signed with him. He can provide that extra push towards a world title,” said Jackson.

Jackson turned professional on December 12, 2015 with a 2nd round knockout over Cory Macon in Greensboro. Jackson continued to dominate his opponents in North Carolina, and he shined when he received his biggest opportunity.

That came on February 14, 2020 and Jackson performed on that night, as he won an eight-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Derrick Colemon Jr (11-0).

The bout was seen by a national audience as it was part of a ShoBox: The New Generation card on SHOWTIME at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

“We are excited to add Joseph to King’s Promotions. He has shown that he can be a player in the super welterweight division. I was so impressed when he won on ShoBox, and have kept in contact with him, and was able to sign him, We have shown that we get our fighters opportunities, and Joseph will be no different,” said Marshall Kauffman.
