Kevin Brown and Yoenis Tellez Shine at Boxlab Promotions’ “Night of Champions XIII” During the 104th Annual WBA Convention

ORLANDO, FL (December 15, 2025) – Two of Boxlab Promotions’ top rising stars delivered powerful statements Saturday night at the Caribe Royale Resort during “Night of Champions XIII”, a signature event of the 104th Annual World Boxing Association (WBA) Convention. The sold-out card streamed live on Boxlab Promotions’ official YouTube channel, featuring matchups and electric performances, by Kevin Brown (9-0, 3 KOs) and Yoenis “El Bandolero” Tellez (11-1, 8 KOs).

Kevin Brown Defends WBA Continental North American Title

In a masterclass display of boxing skill and tactical dominance, undefeated super lightweight Kevin Brown cruised to a unanimous decision victory over the experienced Amos Cowart (13-3-1, 10 KOs), a late replacement. The judges scored the bout 100-90 across the board, as Brown controlled the pace from start to finish, using sharp footwork, slick defense, and pinpoint combinations to neutralize Cowart’s offense.

With the victory, Brown, who is co-promoted with Warriors Boxing, successfully defended his WBA Continental North American Super Lightweight Title, reinforcing his place as one of the division’s most promising young fighters.

After the fight, Brown reflected confidently on his dominant performance.

“I felt in control from the opening bell,” Brown said. “Cowart’s a tough veteran, but I knew if I stuck to my fundamentals, stayed sharp, and dictated the tempo, I could shut him down, and that’s exactly what I did. This was another step forward for me. Staying undefeated and defending my title in a clean sweep just shows that I’m on the right path. I want to be back in the ring as soon as possible, maybe early spring 2026. I’m hungry to keep pushing up the ranks and proving I belong at the top.”

Yoenis Tellez Returns to Form with Statement Knockout Over Castaneda

In a scheduled 8-round bout, WBA #4-ranked super welterweight Yoenis “El Bandolero” Tellez bounced back from his first career loss in emphatic fashion, stopping the always-game Kendo Castaneda (21-13, 9 KOs) in the fifth round.

From the opening bell, Tellez, who is also co-promoted with Warriors Boxing, imposed his will, applying consistent pressure and walking Castaneda down with a mix of power shots and relentless body work. By round five, the accumulation proved too much, prompting the referee to step in and wave off the contest.

“I needed this one, not just for my record, but for my spirit,” Tellez said. “After my last fight, I went back to the gym with a chip on my shoulder. I made adjustments, put in the hard work, and it all paid off. Getting the knockout felt great, but more than that, I felt like myself again. I’m still one of the best in this division, and this was just the beginning of my comeback. I want to stay active and be back in the first quarter of 2026. The goal is a world title — nothing less.”

Amaury Piedra, President of Boxlab Promotions, praised both fighters for their impressive performances and potential to lead the next generation of contenders. “Kevin Brown showed why he’s one of the most technically sound prospects in the sport,” said Piedra. “He made a quality opponent look outclassed, and that’s not easy to do. As for Tellez…what a comeback. He showed the heart of a real warrior and reminded everyone why he’s ranked in the top 5 by the WBA. Both of these young men have incredibly bright futures, and we at Boxlab are proud to be part of their journeys.”

“Night of Champions XIII” once again showcased Boxlab Promotions’ commitment to developing elite talent on the world stage. With Brown remaining undefeated and Tellez back in the win column, fans can expect even bigger matchups in 2026 as both fighters set their sights on championship gold.

Yize Jiang stopped Siupeli Abau in round two of their six-round heavyweight bout.

Jiang dropped Anau with a combination in round three. In round four, Jiang continued to beat on Anau and the fight was stopped at 1:40.

Jiang of China is 601 with five knockouts. Anau of Phoenix is 3-2.

Kevin Brown vs. Cletus Seldin Headlines “Night of Champions XIII” at 104th WBA Convention in Orlando

ORLANDO, FL (November 4, 2025) – The stage is set for a pivotal showdown as Boxlab Promotions presents “Night of Champions XIII” on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, during 104th Annual World Boxing Association (WBA) Convention.

The 12-round main event will feature undefeated Cuban standout Kevin “Alfa” Brown (8-0, 3 KOs) against the battle-tested knockout artist Cletus “Hebrew Hammer” Seldin (29-1, 23 KOs) for the WBA Super Lightweight Interim World Title. The event will be streamed live worldwide on the Boxlab Promotions YouTube channel, offering fans front-row access to one of the year’s most anticipated matchups.

It’s a battle between two contrasting fighters — a young, smooth-moving Cuban star taking on a tough veteran known for constantly coming forward and throwing punches.

Brown, known for his technical precision and fluid footwork, sees this opportunity as his breakout moment. “This is the fight I’ve been waiting for,” said Kevin Brown, who currently holds the WBA Continental North America Super Lightweight Title. “Seldin is a tough, experienced warrior, but I believe my skills, my speed, and my mindset will prove I’m ready for the world stage. To fight for a world title at such a prestigious event like the WBA Convention is an honor. I plan to make a statement and show the boxing world that a new star is rising in the super lightweight division.”

But standing in his way is Brooklyn’s own Cletus “Hebrew Hammer” Seldin, a fan-favorite known for his devastating power and relentless come-forward style.

Seldin, looking to capture his first WBA belt, sees this as a chance to prove he’s still a major threat in a stacked division. “This is what I live for, big fights, big lights, and putting on a show,” said Seldin, who has 23 knockouts in his 29 wins and is managed by Elvis Grant. “Brown’s slick, but he hasn’t been in with someone like me. I bring pressure every second of every round, and on December 13, I’m bringing that hammer down hard. People talk about the new wave, the new generation — but I’m here to remind everyone that I’m not done. I’m hungry, and I’m coming to win.”

The event is a centerpiece of the WBA’s 104th Annual Convention, which brings together boxing’s top figures, champions, and stakeholders from around the globe.

“We are proud to host our 104th Convention at the Caribe Royale Resort in the beautiful city of Orlando, and to celebrate it with a fight card that reflects the tradition, passion, and global reach of the WBA,” said Gilberto Mendoza, President of the World Boxing Association. “Kevin Brown vs. Cletus Seldin is a perfect example of what boxing is all about — youth versus experience, styles clashing, and the hunger to become a champion. It’s going to be an unforgettable night.”

Boxlab Promotions, the official promoter of the card and host of the WBA Convention for a third consecutive year, has built a reputation for delivering world-class events with international flair.

“We’re incredibly proud to bring ‘Night of Champions XII’ to the WBA Convention and deliver a card that truly lives up to its name,” said Amaury Piedra, President of Boxlab Promotions. “Kevin Brown vs. Cletus Seldin is a world title fight that fans will love — it has all the ingredients…action, drama, and legacy. We’ve also got a stacked undercard coming, featuring talent from around the world, and streaming it free on our YouTube channel is our way of giving fans everywhere access to this special night.”

In the 10-round main event, Kevin Brown (8-0, 3 KOs) of Las Vegas by way of Camagüey, Cuba, successfully defended his WBA Continental North American title, dominating Mexico’s Juan Meza Angulo (9-3, 6 KOs) with skillful footwork and precise combinations. In the co-main event, lightweight prospect Antraveous Ingram (12-0, 6 KOs) added another highlight to his résumé, stopping Jeremiah Robinson (8-7, 8 KOs) in round 2. Ingram dropped Robinson with a crushing overhand right in the first round, then followed up with a brutal barrage in the second, forcing the referee to step in at 1:42 of the round.

Kevin Brown Scores Vicious Knockout Against Adriano Porfirio Ramirez to Remain Undefeated

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 17, 2022) – Cuban rising star, undefeated super lightweight Kevin Brown (2-0, 2 KOs), has started off his career with a bang as he defeated Adriano Porfirio Ramirez (12-5, 7 KOs) by 6th round knockout, via a vicious left hook to the head. The fight took place this past Saturday at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, a card promoted by Boxlab Promotions.

Brown, who fought in his first scheduled 10-round bout in only his second pro fight, was winning every minute of every round up until the point of the stoppage. The time of the stoppage was 2:34 of round six and Brown became the WBA Fedecentro Super Lightweight Champion.

“I am excited to display my skills and punching power to the world,” said Brown, who is managed by Jesse Rodriguez. “America is the land of opportunity and I am fortunate to now have my chance for glory. I am ready for the best in the world. I do not need to be built up. I have been built through my international fights. My time is now!”

Brown, like fellow Cuban countryman David Morrell (7-0, 6 KOs), is on the fast track to a world title. He hopes of being in a 12-round bout for his next fight against a top contender.

“I have a very good pedigree and I fought against the best fighters in the world as an amateur,” said Brown, who trains in Las Vegas with Bob Santos. “I am ready to jump in right now with anyone in the lightweight or super lightweight division. Whether it is Michel RiveraGervonta DavisIsaac Cruz, you name it, I will fight them. I believe I’m the best and I am here to prove it. I am 28-years-old, I am not trying to waste time, I want to be thrown in now.”

“Kevin Brown as all the tools to become a world champion,” stated Bob Santos, Brown’s head coach. “His punching power is on another level. He’s seen every style possible being an international star on the Cuban National team. I’ve been in this sport for a long time, and I believe Kevin Brown can become one of the great Cuba fighters.”

Cuban Sensation Kevin Brown Battles Adriano Porfirio Ramirez this Saturday in Orlando, Florida

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 13, 2022) – 28-year-old Cuban star, undefeated super lightweight Kevin Hayler Brown (1-0, 1 KO), will be back in action this Saturday at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. Brown, who recently defected from the Cuban National Boxing team earlier this year, will battle Adriano Porfirio Ramirez (12-4, 7 KOs), a rough and rugged warrior from the Dominican Republic.

Brown vs. Ramirez is scheduled for 10-rounds as the Cuban sensation is on the fast track toward a world title shot. Boxlab Promotions will be the promoter of this event.

“I came to America to become the next Cuban boxing sensation,” said Brown, who is managed by Jesse Rodriguez. “I only have one goal on my mind and that’s to destroy every opponent that steps in the ring with me. Ramirez is considered a dangerous opponent for me, but these are the type of opponents I’m looking for. A victory on Saturday will catapult me up the rankings.”

Born in Camaguey, Cuba, Brown is the son of Liuba Brown, a standout martial artist who is very popular in his homeland. Having won numerous amateur titles, Brown is on hyper speed to become a world champion.

“I’m 28-years old, so I’m in my absolute prime, and I’m ready to fight everyone,” continued Brown, who is know for his power. “I know with my amateur pedigree, being one of the best fighters to ever come out of Cuba, I’ll be a world champion if given the opportunity.”

Already making a name for himself in the boxing gyms of Las Vegas, Brown is not your typical Cuban fighter, as he likes to apply smart pressure while throwing a lot of power punches.

“I have a great people around me,” concluded Brown. “I’ve been training in Las Vegas with my head coach Bob Santos, who is one of the best boxing minds in the business. Right now, we have one of the best teams in all of boxing. I’m sparring world champions constantly, which is getting me prepared for the next level. There is no fight hungrier than me and I’m going to prove it.”

“Like Carlos AdamesAlberto PuelloHector Garcia, who all just became world champions, Kevin Brown is a very special fighter,” stated head trainer Bob Santos. “I’m watching him dominate world class fighters in the gym. His power is insane! Right now, I would put him in with any of the top super lightweights in the world. In just his second pro fight, he’s already jumping into 10-round fights. He’s that good.”
