Homecoming for super middleweight prospect Elijah Garcia to be showcased June 20 on Kingsley Ibeh vs. Dante Stone card in Phoenix

PHOENIX (June 4, 2026) – Sensational super middleweight prospect Elijah Garcia (17-2, 13 KOs) has been added to the highly anticipated pro boxing card, presented by Whitfield Haydon in association with Toro Promotions, Inc., on June 20th at The Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona.

Two of the top heavyweights in the West, Kingsley “”The Black Lion” Ibeh (16-3-1, 14 KOs) and Dante “The Inferno” Stone (21-2, 13 KOs), will throw-down in their 10-round main event showdown, “King of the West,” which will be contested for three titles: Ibeh’s WBC FECARBOX, along with the vacant WBA Continental Americas and Arizona State championships.

Ibeh and Stone are two of the best heavyweights west of the Mississippi River and their clash will establish the winner as the clear “King of the West.”

Hometown favorite Garcia, 23, faces upset-minded Ryan Adams (12-11-1) at home in an 8-round bout. Adams’ pro record includes a major victory against WBC World Middleweight challenger and 2012 USA Olympian, Terrell Gausha (24-4-1) in 2025 via a 10-round split decision.

In 2023, Garcia also knocked out Armando Resendiz (14-1) in the eighth round, fourth-round stoppage of Amilcar Vidal Jr. (16-0) for the WBC Middleweight title, and 10-round decision over Kevin Salgado Zambrano (15-1-1) in southpaw Garcia’s first title defense.

Garcia had an abbreviated amateur career, highlighted by his gold-medal performance at the 2017 U.S. National Championships, and he turned pro three years later at the age of 16 in Mexico.

Adams is coming off an eighth-round split decision triumph against 17-1 Yoanki Urrujia last October in Miami.

A native of Nigeria who fights out of Phoenix, the 32-year-old Ibeh stands 6”4, weighs 288 pounds, and he is a former college and pro football player (Canadian Football League). His cousin is the infamous former prizefighter, heavyweight Ike Ibeabuchi. Ibeh gained fame in his most recent fight this past January at Madison Square Garden, when he went toe-to-toe with highly rated Jarrell Miller (26-1-2), albeit dropping a 10-round split decision on DAZN.

Stone, 31, lives in Chandler, Arizona. His most recent fight was last October in the championship final of the WBC Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia, in which his 21-fight win streak was snapped by Kevin Cristopher Ramirez by way of a 6-round split decision.

Doors open at 4 p.m. PT, first bout scheduled for 5 p.m. PT.

Card subject to change.

Tickets are priced between $91.15 and $228.30 (including fees) and available for purchase online at www.etic.com.

Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh Believes he will stop Jarrell Miller this Saturday at Madison Square Garden

LOS ANGELES (January 26, 2026) – Disrespected heavyweight Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh (16-2-1, 13 KOs) fully understands and appreciates the invaluable opportunity to fight on the largest stage of his career this Saturday night, when the Nigeria-native takes on hometown favorite Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller (26-1-2, 22 KOs) in a 10-round bout on a stacked “The Ring VI” card, streaming live on DAZN from the famed Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Ibeh, a former college/professional (Canada) football player, is riding an 11-fight win streak, including 10 knockouts. The 6’ 4”, 285-pound Ibeh isn’t going to the Big Apple to see the sites; he is on the mission to showcase his skills to a much larger audience, confident of a career-altering performance, despite fighting the largest, most dangerous opponent of his ascending career.

“I believe I will stop him (Miller),” Ibeh boldly predicted. “I’ve been preparing to fight the best version of Miller and expect he’ll come in at his best. I want to throw and take punches, keep fighting physically, and come forward. I expect to be booed when I walk to the ring. He lives there.

“Miller was fighting top level opponents when I first started boxing and now he’s my opponent. Amazing! Idols are now rivals. We’re both big, tough and strong. But it’s not the size of the dog, what matters is the fight in the dog. I’ve learned that football is physical, boxing you need discipline, and spar to learn, punch to hurt.”

Ibeh and Miller have one common opponent, Gerald Washington, but there’s little to compare because Miller won in 2017 when Washington (18-1-1) retired after 8 rounds, while Ibeh fought Washington (21-6-1) last September, registering a third-round technical knockout victory.

Ibeh has never fought in New York City, and, in fact, he has only been there once to go to the Nigerian Embassy.

“I’m grateful and blessed to fight on this stage” Ibeh commented. “It will be career changing for me, more of a lifestyle change from getting more exposure. I’ll get more fans because more people will hear my story and I’ll go up to the next level. I can have an impact.”

The cousin of former infamous heavyweight and Nigerian icon, Ike Ibeabuchi, Ibeh attributes a large share of his success to, ironically, his insurance company.

“If not for my insurance company, I wouldn’t have the freedom and option to work on my own schedule,” Ibeh explained. “I worked as a personal trainer and at a topless bar in Phoenix. If I were still a bouncer, I’d be working 4-9 p.m., 7 days a week with no option to enjoy time in the gym. It was a struggle but now, I am taking time off for training camp.”

Kingsley “The Black Lion” Kingsley Ibeh Rolled to 11th win in a row to become new WBC FECARBOX Heavyweight Champion

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (September 21, 2025) – Last Saturday night more than 7,000 fans attended the “Legacy Night” professional boxing event at Gimnasio Nacional Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador’s capital and largest city. The event marked the inaugural international promotion by Los Angeles-based Toro Promotions, Inc., expanding its operations beyond the United States.

“Legacy Night” included five World Boxing Council (WBC) title fights. All the action was streamed live on aloudsports.com and Toro Promotions’ YouTube page.

“Toro Promotions’ first event outside of the U.S. was a tremendous success, drawing more than 7,000 fans in El Salvador,” Toro Promotions president Azat Torosyan proudly said. “The atmosphere was outstanding, and the audience responded with great enthusiasm to an evening of highly competitive and entertaining bouts. We are very encouraged by the reception and look forward to announcing the date of our next show.”

“Legacy Night” was an element of President Nayib Bukele‘s broader initiative to position El Salvador as a hub for major boxing events. The El Salvador Boxing Federation has designated International Boxing & MMA Consultants, Inc. (IBMC) as the national athletic commission responsible for overseeing professional boxing and other combat sports within the country.

Red-hot World Boxing Council (WBC) Latino Heavyweight Champion Kingsley “The Black Lion” Kingsley (16-2-1, 14 KOs) extended his win streak to 11with his sixth straight knockout in the main event against former world heavyweight challenger Gerald “El Gallo Negro” Washington (21-7-1, 14 KOs).

Nigeria-born Ibeh, the cousin of infamous heavyweight Ike Ibeabuchi, hasn’t lost since 2021. The former Canadian pro football player, who lives in Phoenix, started the fight cautiously but he opened up and stunned Washington against the ropes near the end of the second frame. Kingsley came out for the third like a shark after blood, viciously knocking out Washington to add the vacant (WBC FECARBOX (Central American Boxing Federation) Heavyweight title belt to his growing display case.

“Kingsley is quietly becoming the heaviest-handed heavyweight in the world at full stop,” matchmaker Whit Haydon added. “This is the highest end, world-class power, and he put it on display yet again under the Toro Promotions banner.”

?WBA Continental Super Featherweight Champion Austin Brooks (14-0-1, 6 KOs) successfully defended his title, taking a 10-round unanimous decision from Maxwell Montez (12-4-1, 7 KOs). The 29-year-old Brooks, fighting out of San Diego, put on a masterful display of pure boxing, dazzling his Nicaraguan opponent, who had won 5 of his last 7 fights with one draw.

Rated No. 12 in the world by the World Boxing Association, Brooks has positioned himself for a potential high-profile fight in a division ruled by world champion Lamont Roach, Jr. and Interim champion James Dickens.

California super lightweight Samuel Contreras (3-0, 2 KOs) plowed through his tough Mexican opponent, Cristopher Ramirez Moreno (4-5, 3 KOs), with an impressive opening-round knockout.

The popular Contreras, 21, was a standout amateur boxer, who was a 2016 USA Junior Olympic Champion.

Undefeated Nicaraguan super featherweight prospect Nilo Guerrero (11-0, 8 KOs), who now lives in Coachella (CA), took his first title belt home as a professional, using his experience to hold off his ultra-aggressive, fellow countryman William “El Chatel” Vargas (9-6, 3 KOs) in round one. An exceptionally tall super featherweight at 6’ 1”, 21-year-old Guerrero came back in the second round with a fury, throwing a flurry of punishing punches to stop Vargas, as well as give Guerrero the vacant WBC FECARBOX super featherweight title.

Twenty-year-old twin brothers, Ari Bonilla (4-0, 2 KOs) and Andrey Bonilla (4-0, 3 KOs), both returned home to El Paso (TX) with title belts. Ari, a former WBC USA super flyweight title-holder and 2022 World Youth Amateur Champion, won a 10-round unanimous decision over a game Asbel “Chocolatito” Bolaina (6-4, 0 KOs) for the vacant WBC FECARBOX Super Featherweight Championship; Andrey, a former WBC USA Bantamweight titlist and 2024 Mexican Elite National Champion as an amateur, overpowered previously undefeated Isaac Martinez Barragan (6-0, 2 KOs), of Mexico, and closed the show early with a sensational first-round knockout to win the vacant WBC FECARBOX Bantamweight belt.

California heavyweights Alexander “The Great” Flores (20-5-1, 18 KOs), wasted little time with Juan Torres (11-9-1, 4 KOs), who failed to make it out of the opening round. The 6’ 4”, 283-pound Flores, who has been in with world champions such as Charles Martin and Joseph Parker, had decisive physical and quality experience advantages over his Mexican opponent.

California heavyweight Jack “Outlaw” May (11-1, 10 KOs) outclassed Abraham Pascual (15-12, 3 KOs) to open the show with a powerful display, knocking out Pascual in the first round.

Avoided Kingsley Ibeh Demands his Seat at The Heavyweight Table

LOS ANGELES (April 3, 2025) – Currently riding a 10-fight win streak, Nigeria-born Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh (15-2-1, 13 KOs) believes he’s being avoided by top heavyweights because he’s feared and considered too much of a risky opponent.

The 31-year-old Ibeh, who fights out of Phoenix (AZ), is a member of the loaded Toro Promotions stable of heavyweights, undefeated for the past four years yet unable to secure a major fight.

There are plenty of reasons for heavyweights looking for less risky opponents. Ibeh is a physically imposing figure, standing 6’ 4” and weighing in at 285 pounds, as well as a southpaw who brings unusual athleticism into the ring as a former professional and college football player.

“I think they’re scared of me,” Ibeh claimed. “I got a lot more calls when I was underrated and expected to lose. Now, nobody wants to take a chance to fight me. I want that challenge! I want my seat at the table, if not at the head of the table, because becoming world champion has been my goal since I started boxing. Toro Promotions has been getting me up the ladder and I’m always ready to go if the phone rings.

“I need an opportunity to make a statement. It would be exciting for me to fight (Jarrell) ‘Big Baby’ Miller (26-1-2, 22 KOs) and I’ve been trying to get a rematch with Guido Vianello (13-2-1, 11 KOs) because I believe I won that fight (4-round draw in 2020). For some reason, the rematch was shutdown. I’d smash Richard Torrez (2020 Olympic silver medalist, 12-0, 11 KOs as a pro) in five rounds. (Oleksandr) Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) is No. 1, of course, because he’s the world champion. We got a call to fight Fabio Wardly (18-0-1, 17 KOs) but it didn’t happen. I’m a big fan of Joseph Parker and I’d like to get him in the ring.”

Ibeh’s Media Proprietor and Brand Manager, Maca (aka “Maca Magic”), feels that his fighter’s time will come, sooner rather than later, because of several factors, saying: “The sentiment we’ve gotten is that they’re scared to fight this big southpaw unless we make it more enticing. Kingsley will climb the ratings, and he won’t be avoided too much longer. Everything has changed in boxing since Covid, especially on social media, because the focus is no longer on just a few fighters and fans love to watch heavyweights. Today, boxing is more about entertainment. We are finding the right pieces and building his brand. We’re going to make him a star.”

Ibeh weighs approximately the same as he did when he played defensive tackle at Washington University (Topeka, KS) and as a professional in the Canadian Football League for the Calgary Stampeders.

“Being so big is a double-edged sword,” Ibeh explained. “I weighed 240 in high school. I have God-given strength; I don’t even take protein. Football is tough and it has helped me in boxing. Linemen get smacked every play in football, especially the impact by blockers, and getting hit excites me in boxing. I move well in the ring and that’s because of the footwork I learned playing football. I still do football drills in the ring, exploding from my hips.”

Ibeh’s cousin is the infamous Nigerian heavyweight Ike Ibeabuchi (20-0, 15 KOs, 1994-1999), who Kingsley didn’t see until the first fight he attended when Ike entered the ring. His uncle told Kingsley about his cousin Ike and that was the moment he really got into boxing.

Back in Nigeria, Ibeh has a large fanbase that grows exponentially when his fights are streamed back home. It’s like a party.

Kingsley Ibeh is a much smarter and better boxer than he was four years ago. It’s high time “The Black Lion” has his seat at the heavyweight table.

Kingsley Ibeh wins 10th straight, Austin Brooks defends WBA title

TACOMA, Wash. (January 11, 2025) – Underrated heavyweight Kingsley “The Black Lion” Kingsley (15-2-1, 13 KOs) win his 10th fight in a row in last night’s latest installment of “EQC Fight Night,” presented by Toro Promotions, Inc. and Whitfield Haydon Boxing, in the EQC Event Center at the famed Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington.

Ibeh, 31, hasn’t lost since 2021. The former Canadian pro football player used his 70-pound advantage over Scott Alexander (17-7-2, 9 KOs) in the main event, trapping his opponent on the ropes, causing a pair of knockdowns. The latter closed the show at 2:36 of the first round for his second straight opening-round stoppage, both at Emerald Queen. Ibeh, who is a native of Nigeria who lives in Phoenix, entered the ring as the WBC Latino Silver Heavyweight Champion and left with the vacant WBC Latino title.

WBA Continental Super Featherweight Champion Austin Brooks (13-0-1, 6 KOs) successfully defended his title with an eighth-round stoppage of Rosalindo Morales (10-2, 2 KOs) in the co-featured event. The WBA No. 15 rated Brooks, fighting out of San Diego, controlled the pace from the opening bell and he hurt Morales with a vicious left hook to the body. Morales took a knee and beat the referee’s count, until another body shot ended the fight at 1:04 of round eight.

Celebrated amateur Dedrick Crocklem (1-0, 1 KO) turned in an auspicious pro debut in front of his hometown fans in Tacoma, knocking out Nesly Trezile (1-2, 0 KOs) at the 52-seconds mark of the second round. Super lightweight Crocklem, who recently signed a promotional contract with Top Rank, blasted Trezile through the ropes in the first round and he closed the show in the second with a flurry of effective punches that left Trezile unable to continue fighting. Among his amateur accomplishments, Crocklem was the 2022 USA Nationals champion, in addition to his 2020 and 2021 USA Youth Nationals gold medal performances.

New Mexico welterweight Rolyn Nez (5-0, 3 KOs) kept his undefeated record intact with a four-round unanimous decision (39-37 X 3) over Cruz Becerro Monteon (1-1, 1 KO) in an exciting, competitive match.

Also fighting on the undercard was Washington (Federal Way) super featherweight Alexis De La Cerda (5-0, 3 KOs), who also kept his pro record unbeaten with a dominant four-round decision over his Nicaraguan foe, Nelson Guerrero (2-1-1, 2 KOs).

In the evening’s opening bout, Renton (WA) featherweight Joel Hernandez (1-0) was impressive in his pro debut, pitching a complete “shutout” (40-36 X 3) for a four-round unanimous decision over Julio Lanzas Carollo (0-1).

Underrated heavyweight Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh Headlines January 10th

LOS ANGELES (December 19, 2024) – The new year will lift off January 10th with another installment of “EQC Fight Night,” presented by Toro Promotions, Inc., and Whitfield Haydon Boxing, featuring an entertaining card with two title fights and the pro debut of a celebrated Tacoma-based amateur boxer, in the EQC Event Center at the famed Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington.

One of the most underrated heavyweights in the world, Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh (14-2-1, 12 KOs), is positioning himself for a possible career-changing 2025, riding an impressive 9-fight win streak into his Jan. 10th match versus Scott Alexander (17-2, 1, 9 KOs) in the 10-round main event for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Continental Heavyweight crown.

The 6’ 4”, 290-pound Ibeh returns to Emerald Queen Casino after he knocked out previously undefeated Jack “The Outlaw” May (10-1, 9 KOs) there last October in the opening round for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Latino Silver Championship.

A native of Nigeria who lives in Phoenix, the 31-year-old Ibeh is a former college and Canadian Football League football player, as well as a cousin of notorious former pro boxer Ike Ibeabuchi (20-0, 15 KOs).

Crowd-pleasing Austin Brooks (12-0-1, 5 KOs), fighting out of San Diego (CA), will defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Super Featherweight title against challenger Rosalindo Morales (10-1, 2 KOs) in the 10-round co-feature.

Undefeated Austin Brooks & Aran Avagyan Battle to an exciting 10-round draw

TACOMA, Wash. (June 16, 2024) – Unbeaten Austin Brooks (12-0-1, 5 KOs)

successfully defended his World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental USA super featherweight title last night, albeit by way of a unpopular 10-round split draw with dangerous Aram “Warrior” Avagyan (11-1-3, 5 KOs), in the main event on the entertaining “EQC Fight Night” card, presented by Toro Promotions, Inc., in association with Whitfield Haydon Boxing, at the famed Emerald Queen Casino (EQC) in Tacoma, Washington.

Fighting out of San Diego, the 28-year-old Brooks needed a strong rally in the final two rounds of a thrilling throw-back fight against Avagyan, the 2016 Armenian Olympian, to retain his WBA Continental USA crown in front of a standing only crowd.

Aram relentlessly pressured Brooks from the start and it appeared the fight was getting away from the defending champion. Both fighters had their moments through the first action-packed eight rounds, but Aram’s exceptionally high work rate appeared to have him on his way to victory. Brooks, though, to his credit picked his spots and took the last two critical rounds for the hard-earned draw.

Toro Promotions’ growing stable of large, talented heavyweights, including Dante Stone (16-1, 11 KOs) and Alexander “The Great” Flores (19-4-1, 17 KOs), was on display last night as Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh and Tsotne Rogava (9-0, 7 KOs) were both in action.

Ibeh(13-2-1, 10 KOs), who is a native of Nigeria now living in Phoenix, is a cousin of the retired, infamous heavyweight boxer Ike Ibeabuchi. Ibeh, who played college football at Washburn University, as well as professionally in the Canadian Football League, completely dominated former Texas champion Juan Torres (11-7-1. 4 KOs).

The 6’ 4”, 300-pound Ibeh was simply too big and strong for Torres, who was floored four times enroute to a second-round knockout for Ibeh.

Tsotne, a fast riser with tremendous upside, showed that he’s a good boxer in addition to having lethal power, going the complete distance for the scone time in a row. The 2020 Ukraine Olympian used his 6’ 5”, 270-pounder frame and deceptive quickness to dominate battle-tested Jon Bolden (10-14-1, 7 KOs) in the eight-round Special Heavyweight Attraction.

The Georgia-born Rogava, who now resides in Marina del Rey (CA), and is trained by Hall of Famer Joe Goossen, dropped Bolden in the second and fifth rounds in a near shutout decision, winning all eight rounds on two of the judges’ scorecards, seven on the other, in a match somewhat marred by Bolden’s constant clinching in a survival mode.

Undefeated Nicaraguan super featherweight prospect Nilo Guerrero (9-0, 7 KO), a 2016 Nicaragua Youth National Champion who lives in Coachella (CA), extended his impressive win streak to nine, taking a dominate six-round unanimous decision against veteran Diuhi “Elegante” Olguin (16-38-7, 10 KOs). The 23-year-old Guerrero, 23, once again skillfully used his abnormal 6’ 1” height and length for a super featherweight to his advantage.

Also fighting on the undercard in four-rounders were Hoquiam (WA) super welterweight Nathan “Superman” Stolen (2-0, 1 KO), who won a four-round split decision over Julio Munoz, Jr. (0-1-1), in an all-out slugfest in which the two fighters fought like Rockem Sockem robots, while Auburn (WA) lightweight Agustin Tovar (1-0) defeated pro debuting Miquel Gonzales (0-1) in a spirited encounter that featured a high volume of punches with Tovar clearly landing the crisper shots.

Toro’s heavyweight trio rolls Tsotne Rogava, Alexander Flores & Kingsley Ibeh all register impressive knockout victories

LOS ANGELES (March 24, 2024) – Toro Promotions’ train of promising heavyweight prospects – undefeated 2020 Ukraine Olympian Tsotne Rogava (6-0, 6 KOs), Alexander “The Great” Flores (19-4-1, 17 KOs) and Kingsley “The Black Lion” Ibeh (12-2-1, 10 KOs) – all turned in impressive knockout performances last night at LumColor Phoenix Center in Ontario, California.

The event was co-promoted by Toro Promotions, Inc. and Fearless Boxing Promotions.

The 6’ 5”, 264-pound Rogava kept his undefeated pro record perfect with his sixth victory in six fights, all won by early knockouts.  Born in Georgia, the fast-rising Rogava absolutely destroyed Antonio Brown (8-5, 8 KOs), dropping him three times in the opening round for his third straight first-round stoppage of an opponent.

A former Muay Thai fighter and kickboxer simply overpowered Brown, who also has knockout power based on his career record. Rogava has boxed a grand total of only eight rounds in his six pro fights, clearly dominating any opponent who has stepped in the ring with him, nobody getting through two complete rounds .

Flores rebounded from his 10-round unanimous decision loss to 15-1-1 Dante Stone this past January 4 in grand fashion, landing at will and closing the show in the third round against Josue Vargas (5-7-2, 2 KOs). Three of his other pro career losses have all been to world champions Luis Ortiz, Joseph Parker, and Charles Martin for the popular fighter from Rowland Heights, California,

Nigeria-native Ibeh, who lives in Phoenix, is a physically imposing specimen, standing 6’ 4” and tipping the scales at 299 pounds. Ibeh extended his win streak to seven with a first-round knockout of a game Derek Cardenas (9-12, 2 KOs). Ibeh, whose cousin is the infamous heavyweight Ike Ibeabuchi (20-0, 15 KOs), decked Cardenas twice in round one.

Toro Promotions to showcase heavyweight trio Undefeated Ukraine Olympian Tsotne Rogava to headline, plus Alexander Flores and Kingsley Ibeh

LOS ANGELES (March 18, 2024) – Toro Promotions, Inc. will showcase a heavyweight trio of talent – undefeated 2020 Ukraine Olympian Tsotne Rogava (5-0, 5 KOs), Alexander “The Great” Flores (18-4-1, 16 KOs) and Kingsley Ibeh (11-2-1, 9 KOs) – this Saturday night (March 23) at LumColor Phoenix Center in Ontario, California.

The event is co-promoted by Toro Promotions, Inc. and Fearless Boxing Promotions.

The 6’ 5”, 270-pound Rogava is on the fast track. Born in Georgia, Rogava lived for several years in Ukraine until moving last year to Marina del Rei, California. He has successfully transitioned to boxing from his world class Muay Thai and kickboxing career.

Rogava is on the fast track; this fight will be his third in 2024, albeit neither bout went beyond the first round. In fact, the powerful heavyweight has only box seven rounds in his five pro fights to date.

In addition to headlining a card for the second time in a row. Rogava will be in his first scheduled eight-round bout on March 23rd, taking on dangerous puncher Antonio Brown (8-4, 8 KOs) in the main event.

Fighting out of Rowland Heights, California, Flores plans to rebound from his 10-round unanimous decision loss to 15-1-1 Dante Stone this past January 4. Flores’ three other pro career losses have all been to world champions Luis Ortiz, Joseph Parker, and Charles Martin

Flores, 33, faces Josue Vargas (5-6-2, 2 KOs) in a six-round match.

Ibeh, known as “The Black Lion,” is a native of Nigeria who lives in Phoenix. The 6’ 4” Ibeh will be riding a six-fight win streak into his six-round fight with Derek Cardenas (9-11, 2 KOs). Ibeh has boxing in his blood. His cousin is Ike Ibeabuchi, who was 20-0 with 15 knockouts and one of the most feared heavyweights in boxing, prior to his 16-year incarceration in Nevada.

Fights subject to change.

LAS VEGAS (February 11, 2021) — Saturday’s Top Rank on ESPN main event between Joe Smith Jr. and Maxim Vlasov — for the vacant WBO light heavyweight world title — has been postponed after Vlasov tested positive for COVID-19.

Vlasov said, “I am devastated with the postponement of my world title fight against Joe Smith Jr. I have been following strict protocols, I have done regular testing with negative results, and I have no symptoms. I am well prepared and had an excellent training camp. I look forward to the rescheduling of the fight and the opportunity to display my world class skills.”

The Richard Commey-Jackson Marinez lightweight bout has been elevated to the main event and will headline the ESPN-televised tripleheader beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. In the new co-feature, action star Adam Lopez will defend his NABF featherweight belt in a 10-rounder against former world title challenger Jason Sanchez. The ESPN telecast will open with Toledo heavyweight sensation Jared Anderson (7-0, 7 KOs) against Kingsley Ibeh in a six-rounder.

Undercard bouts, including the professional debut of former U.S. amateur star Troy Isley, will stream live on ESPN+ at 8:15 p.m. ET/5:15 p.m. PT.

February 13: Adam Lopez-Jason Sanchez Featherweight Showdown & Jared Anderson-Kingsley Ibeh Heavyweight Battle Set for Smith-Vlasov Undercard LIVE on ESPN+

LAS VEGAS (January 28, 2021) —Featherweight action star Adam “BluNose” Lopez and Jason “El Alacrancito” Sanchez are ready for a phone booth battle. Lopez will defend his NABF belt in a 10-rounder against Sanchez Saturday, Feb. 13, on the undercard of the vacant WBO light heavyweight world title bout between Joe Smith Jr. and Maxim Vlasov at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

In a six-round heavyweight special attraction, 21-year-old knockout artist Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson will take on Kingsley Ibeh, who went 2-0-1 last year inside the MGM Grand Las Vegas Bubble.

Lopez-Sanchez and Anderson-Ibeh will stream live on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, preceding the ESPN telecast (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT) featuring Smith-Vlasov and Richard Commey-Jackson Marinez.

Lopez (14-2, 6 KOs), from Glendale, Calif., has earned his reputation as the “Glendale Gatti” with a series of action-packed fights. Following his controversial TKO loss to Oscar Valdez in November 2019, Lopez returned last June with a majority decision over Louie Coria in one of the year’s best fights. Sanchez (15-2, 8 KOs) challenged Valdez for the WBO featherweight world title in June 2019 and dropped a competitive unanimous decision. He has split a pair of bouts since then, most recently falling short via 10-round decision to Christopher “Pitufo” Diaz last June.

“On February 13, we’re back on the big screen,” Lopez said. “Mark your calendars, call off work, do what you have to do. You don’t want to miss this one. This is the year ‘BluNose’ gets his strap. Stay tuned, ladies and gentlemen.”

Sanchez said, “l’ve never been more ready. I just came back from a loss, so I am more determined and hungrier than ever. I will not take another loss, and that is my biggest motivation.”

Anderson (7-0, 7 KOs), from Toledo, Ohio, went 5-0 in 2020, including four Bubble knockouts. He most recently knocked out Luis Eduardo Pena in one round, the fifth first-round stoppage of his young career. Ibeh (5-1-1, 4 KOs), a former collegiate football player fighting out of Phoenix, became an instant ESPN favorite with his go-for-broke style. In his last two bouts, the 6’4, 275-pound Ibeh held unbeaten phenom Guido Vianello to a draw and bested the previously undefeated Patrick Mailata by majority decision.

In other matches streaming on ESPN+:

  • Former junior middleweight contender Carlos Adames (18-1, 14 KOs), from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, will make his long-awaited ring return in an eight-round middleweight fight against an opponent to be named. Adames last fought in November 2019 and lost a unanimous decision to Patrick Teixeira for the interim WBO junior middleweight world title.

  • Lightweight prospect Eric Puente (4-0), from San Diego, will fight fellow unbeaten Sergio Vega (2-0-1, 2 KOs) in a four-rounder. Puente, who is trained by Robert Garcia, won a pair of decisions last year after more than a year away from the ring.

  • A pair of highly talented former U.S. amateur stars will make their professional debuts in separate four-round bouts. Troy Isley, from Alexandria, Va., is scheduled to fight Bryant Costello (1-1, 1 KO) at middleweight, while Las Vegas-born bantamweight Floyd “Cashflow” Diaz will fight Fernando Macias (1-1). Diaz made headlines in 2010 as a six-year-old when his flashy mitt work routine was shown on an episode of HBO’s “24/7 Mayweather-Mosley.”

  • Jahi Tucker (2-0, 1 KO), the 18-year-old prodigy who turned pro last September, will face Eric Rodriguez (1-1, 1 KO) in a four-round welterweight tilt.
