Manager Keith Sullivan Warns Anthony Joshua’s Choice to Fight Kristian Prenga will Backfire

NEW YORK CITY (April 28, 2026) – The official announcement that Anthony “AJ” Joshua (29-4, 6 KOs) will return to the ring for a “tune-up” fight versus Albanian power-puncher Kristian “KP” Prenga (20-1, 20 KOs) on July 25 caught many by surprise.

Joshua will put his tentatively scheduled showdown, with Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs), slated during the final quarter of 2026, at risk by facing Prenga in a 12-round main event, headlining “The Comeback” live and exclusively on DAZN from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A two-time European kickboxing champion, Prenga, had no amateur experience, and remains relatively unknown in some boxing circles. However, he and his team fully appreciate the career-changing opportunity they’ve been offered, that could end up positioning him among the leading heavyweights in the world.

The 35-year-old Kristian Prenga has demonstrated remarkable punching power throughout his career. He has secured victories by knockout in all 20 of his wins, and his lone defeat came early in his career, in 2017, during just his fifth professional bout. Since then, though, he has been riding a 16-fight win streak, establishing himself as a dangerous opponent.

Joshua has a somewhat suspect chin having been stopped by Andy Ruiz (35-5-1, 22 KOs) and Daniel Dubois (21-2, 21 KOs) and rocked by other heavy hitters.

They are true heavyweights: Joshua stands 6’ 6” and weighed 243 pounds in his last fight; Prenga is 6’ 6” and was 264 ½ in his most recent action.

New York City-based boxing lawyer Keith Sullivan, who gained invaluable experience as a former New York State Athletic Commission Deputy Commissioner, didn’t start managing Prenga until this past February.

Sullivan, through Sullivan Management, is a fierce advocate for his fighters creating opportunities for them and has been extremely instrumental in successfully petitioning sanctioning bodies and commissions for his boxing clients who were the subject of nefarious officiating.

Despite being a founding partner in a successful 20-year-old New York City litigation firm, Sullivan & Galleshaw LLP, Sullivan is highly respected in the industry for his vast boxing knowledge and tireless commitment to fighting for his fighters. Two such clients of note are Irish world welterweight title challenger Paddy “The Real Deal” Donovan (14-2, 11 KOs) and the Japanese three-time, two-division world champion Miyo Yoshida (19-5, 1 KO).

Donovan, ranked No. 3 by the IBF, will fight Karen Chukhadzhian (26-3, 14 KOs) on May 15 in an IBF title eliminator. The winner of this bout will become the mandatory challenger for whoever wins the soon-to-be rescheduled match between IBF Welterweight World Champion Lewis “Croc” Crocker (21-0, 11 KOs) and challenger and Liam Paro (27-1, 16 KOs).

IBF No. 1 world rated Yoshida is the mandatory challenger for unified and undisputed World Bantamweight Champion Cherneka “Neekz” Johnson (18-2, 8 KOs), who is expected to defend her IBF crown against Yoshida later this year.

“If Team Joshua thinks this is an easy night for AJ,” warned Keith Sullivan, “they’ve made a serious mistake. They just walked into a very dangerous situation. Underestimate Prenga at your own risk. I understand why they chose Prenga, but I don’t think they fully understand who they chose, which is going to become very clear on fight night. Team Prenga and I have tremendous respect for AJ and what he has accomplished: extensive amateur record, two Olympic medals, three (IBF, WBA & WBO) heavyweight championships, more than a dozen heavyweight title fights, millions earned, etc. Kristian has not been as fortunate to have those privileged experiences. However, what he does have is heart, determination, strong self-confidence and power.

“This is clearly a lose-lose situation for AJ. If he wins, he is criticized for his opponent selection; if he loses, he is beaten into retirement. I would hate to be in AJ’s shoes or mindset for the next 13 weeks.

“Joshua is a great fighter but KP isn’t coming to participate – he’s coming to shock the world!”

Now residing in Edgewater, New Jersey, Prenga is riding a 16-fight win streak into his bout with Joshua. The former North American Boxing Association (NABA) heavyweight champion has the determined disposition that will allow him to avoid all the noise about his next fight. A triumph over Joshua will cement Prenga as the Albanian heavyweight GOAT.

“I really appreciate my manager, Keith Sullivan, working hard to create an opportunity of a lifetime for me. Keith promised we would do big things together and he delivered,” Prenga added. “AJ is a great fighter. I like him and how he conducts himself in and out of the ring. But fight night is going to be a war and I am walking out victorious; that’s the way it’s going to be”

Should Prenga upset Joshua, the proud Albanian would most certainly be pleased to step in as Fury’s opponent in place of Joshua later this year.

In addition to managing Prenga and Yoshida, Sullivan also manages undefeated Brooklyn heavyweight prospect Pryce Taylor (11-0, 7 KOs), Bronx NYPD officer Nisa Rodriguez (4-1, 2 KOs), lightweight Fei Faiva (6-0-1, 4 KOs) and featherweight prospect Brooklyn Barwick (4-1, 4 KOs). Sullivan co-manages Paddy Donovan (14-2, 11 KOs) and his cousin, middleweight Jim Donovan (2-0, 1 KO), alongside coach and ex-world champion Andy Lee.

‘THE COMEBACK’ IS CONFIRMED: AJ RETURNS TO RIYADH ON JULY 25 AS HEAVYWEIGHT ICON FACES KRSITIAN PRENGA – LIVE ON DAZN

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, today announced Anthony Joshua will make his highly anticipated return to the ring on Saturday, July 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, live worldwide on DAZN.

The Olympic gold medallist and former two-time unified heavyweight world champion will headline “The Comeback” as part of the Esports World Cup Festival, facing knockout artist Kristian Prenga in a heavyweight showdown.

Joshua enters the bout with a professional record of 28 wins and 4 losses, including 25 victories by knockout, with his most recent win coming by knockout against Jake Paul in December 2025.

Joshua said:“It’s no secret I’ve taken some time to consolidate and rebuild to be ready for stepping back into the ring and today is the next step on that journey.I’m delighted to have agreed a multi-fight deal starting with July 25th in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“I’m looking forward to competing and picking up where I left o?. As I said. The landlord will collect his rent. That is certain.”

Over the past eight years, Joshua has been central to some of boxing’s biggest heavyweight events, capturing and unifying world titles with landmark wins over Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker, Kubrat Pulev, and Andy Ruiz Jr.

He has also shared the ring in high-profile clashes against Oleksandr Usyk, Daniel Dubois, and Francis Ngannou, headlining several global stadium events including Wembley Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Standing in his way is Albanian heavyweight Prenga, who holds an incredible knockout record – 20 wins, 20 knockouts – and just one defeat on his professional record.

The 35-year-old, who turned professional in 2016, will be competing in the highest-profile bout of his career to date, marking his first appearance in a major international main event.

Prenga said: “Anthony Joshua is a great fighter, but he made a terrible miscalculation in picking me as his opponent. This is the kind of fight that changes everything in my life and his.

“I know they have big plans ahead after this fight. I know they are overlooking me. I’m happy about that. I will derail their plans and shock the world this July in Saudi Arabia.”

Kristian ‘KP’ Prenga developing into Albanian heavyweight boxing GOAT

NEW YORK CITY (April 20, 2026) – Heavy-handed Kristian “KP” Prenga (20-1, 20 KOs) is on a mission to be crowned the greatest Albanian heavyweight professional boxer of all-time. The 34-year-old Prenga’s ultimate goal, however, is to become world champion of boxing’s most celebrated weight class.

“I don’t only want to be the greatest heavyweight from Albania,” the humble Prenga explained. “What I really want is to be the heavyweight champion of the world. That’s what I’m working on, but it’s not what I talk about as that is not my style. I just work hard in the gym and how I live outside the gym to achieve this goal.”

Prenga, a two-time European kickboxing champion with no amateur boxing background, has clearly transitioned successfully to pro boxing.

“As his manager,” NYC lawyer Keith Sullivan stated, “I can tell you Kristian Prenga isn’t just chasing wins, he is on a mission to become Albania’s top heavyweight and a real force on the world heavyweight stage. We’re building Kristian the right way and make no mistake, the goal is for him to be recognized as Albania’s number one heavyweight while competing with the best globally.”

Now fighting out of Edgewater, New Jersey, Prenga stands 6’ 5”, weighs 260 pounds, and packs lethal punches. “KP” sports a maximum knockout percentage of 100%, 20-for-20. He is riding a 16-fight win streak and is scheduled to fight again in June.

His lone loss was in his fifth pro fight, 9 years ago to Govanni Auriemma, by way of points (77-74) in their 8-round bout in Albania.

There has never been an Albanian world heavyweight champion of a major sanctioning body in pro boxing. In fact, no Albanian pro boxer has ever won a major world title (WBA, WBO, WBC, IBF). Jurgen Uldedaj did capture the IBO cruiserweight world title last year.

Other leading Albania-born pro boxers include welterweight (and former kickboxer) Florian “The Albanian King” Marku (13-1-1, 8 KOs, 2018-2024), super welterweight Ermal “The Albanian Sniper” Hadribeaj (22-0-1, 8 KOs, 2019-present), middleweight Kreshnik “The Eagle” Qato (30-9, 5 KOs, 2001-2014), and light heavyweight Amarildo Bakaj (14-0, 14 KOs, 2019-present).

Prenga has rapidly built a dedicated following, particularly among Albanians in New York/New Jersey, in addition to back home in Albania.

Sullivan, a former New York State Athletic Commission Deputy Commissioner, also manages 3-time, 2-division World Champion Miyo Yoshida (18-5), Bronx NYPD officer Nisa Rodriguez (4-1, 2 KOs), and featherweight prospect Brooklyn Barwick (4-1, 4 KOs). Sullivan co-manages IBF Welterweight World title challenger Paddy “The Real Deal” Donovan (14-2, 11 KOs) and his cousin, middleweight Jim Donovan (2-0, 1 KO), alongside coach and ex-world champion Andy Lee.

Kristian Prenga Headlines “Crossroads in Brick City” on June 6 in Newark

NEWARK, NEW JERSEY — April 8, 2026 — Rodney Rice’s RDR Promotions will stage its first show at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. as Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga headlines their “Crossroads in Brick City” event on Saturday, June 6.

The heavy-handed Prenga (20-1, 20 KOs), a native of Orosh, Albania who now lives in New Jersey, will face an opponent to be named in an eight-round fight. Prenga has become one of the most popular fighters in the state since making his United States debut in 2022. He has won his last three fights by first round knockout thanks in large part to possessing one of the hardest right hands in the sport. Now, Prenga takes his next step towards heavyweight contention, with a big win expected to move him into the next tier of the division.

In the co-featured bout, Newark’s own Michael “Slick” Anderson (25-4-1, 19 KOs) will meet Nimal Farmer (6-1-2, 4 KOs) of Lindenwold, N.J. in an eight-round welterweight fight. Anderson is coming off a third-round stoppage win over Tackie Annan in November and always brings large crowds, especially when he’s fighting at home. He will face the tough as nails Farmer, who is looking to rebound from his first ever defeat.

Tickets are available for purchase now at www.ticketmaster.com and www.prucenter.com. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the first fight set for 6:30 p.m.

“RDR Promotions is extremely proud to have been welcomed into the Newark, N.J. boxing community,” said Rice, President of RDR Promotions. “We plan to not only provide a consistent platform for local fighters, but vow to be an invaluable resource to the community.”

“We are thrilled to welcome RDR Promotions’ marquee professional boxing event entitled ‘Crossroads in Brick City’ to Prudential Center for the first time,” said Dylan Wanagiel, Vice President, Sports Properties and Special Events, Prudential Center. “With a world-class fighter like Kristian Prenga headlining plus a stacked lineup of rising talent from throughout the Northeast, fans are in for an unforgettable night. This event marks an exciting step in showcasing top-level boxing in New Jersey and solidifying Prudential Center as a premier destination for combat sports.”

The card will also feature a number of competitively matched fights between prospects from across the area.

In a six-round lightweight bout, Philadelphia’s Rashan Adams (11-1, 6 KOs) will meet Camden’s Naheem Parker (6-4, 2 KOs). Adams has won his last six bouts and will be facing a crafty boxer-puncher who has shown he can upset the odds, having handed previously unbeaten boxers Raekwon Butler and Justin Palmieri their first defeats.

Junior welterweight prospects will put it all on the line when Juan Rivera V (9-0, 5 KOs) of Philadelphia meets Demarius Driver (12-1, 7 KOs) of Nashville, Tennessee. It will be the first ten-round fight for Rivera, who has kept a busy schedule since turning professional two years ago. Driver, a pro since 2017, is seeking to redeem himself after suffering his first loss in his most recent bout.

In another “crossroads” bout, Vladimir Dalton (2-0) of nearby Elizabeth, N.J. will meet fellow unbeaten fighter Ibrahima Fofana (2-0, 2 KOs) of The Bronx, N.Y. in a four-round cruiserweight fight. Dalton, a 2017 National Golden Gloves silver medalist, last fought in March, defeating the previously unbeaten Shakeem Williams by decision, while Fofana, a native of Senegal, scored knockouts in his two pro fights last year.

New York and Jersey City will collide in a four-round middleweight fight as Famous Wilson (4-0, 2 KOs) of Brentwood, Long Island faces Bernard Gardner (1-1, 1 KO) in a matchup of former amateur standouts. This won’t be the first time the two have met, with Wilson having won a decision over the man now known as Rex Presidential in the 2019 National Golden Gloves. The fight will be Wilson’s first in two years while Gardner, a southpaw, will look to bounce back from his first defeat last December.

Also in action, brothers Muadh Abdus-Salaam (3-0, 1 KO) and Zahir Abdus-Salaam (2-0, 1 KO), both of Newark, will fight in separate bouts. The Abdus-Salaam brothers were recently commended by the city of Newark for their accomplishments as student athletes, with Muadh having played defensive back for the Delaware State University Hornets football team and Zahir having been a running back for the Western Michigan University Broncos. Also commended at that ceremony were fellow Newark natives Anthony Johns (11-1, 6 KOs) and Yoell “Boy Boy” Cooper, who will also be in action on the card in separate bouts.

In addition, John Gjini (16-0, 15 KOs) of Greenwich, Connecticut will compete in an eight-round featherweight fight, while junior lightweight Alexander Collado of North Bergen, N.J. will look to secure his first win as a professional in a four-round bout.

Quietly formidable boxers Kristian Prenga & Pyrce Taylor continue Their assault on the heavyweight division

NEW YORK CITY (March 2, 2026) – A pair of relatively low-key, but highly formidable heavyweights, Albanian knockout artist Kristian “KP” Prenga (20-1, 20 KOs) and former college basketball player Pryce Taylor (11-0, 7 KOs), of Brooklyn, recently turned in impressive victories on the same weekend.

Prenga and Taylor are both managed by Sullivan Management.

“I’m proud to be working with two heavyweights at different stages of the journey – one a contender, the other a rising prospect,” manager Keith Sullivan said. “What they share is discipline, patience, and a willingness to do hard work when nobody’s watching. That’s how real careers are built in this division.

“One fighter (Prenga) is already knocking on the door, the other (Taylor) is still climbing the stairs; the process is the same, consistent work, smart matchmaking, busy schedules and respect for their strengths.”

The 34-year-old Prenga, now fighting out of Edgewater, New Jersey, didn’t need a full round to violently take out his opponent, “Mighty” Joe Jones (16-4-1, 10 KOs), who apparently agitated Prenga in the fight buildup and ultimately paid the price.

Prenga floored Jones early in the opening round with a body shot. Jones never really recovered and he was floored two more times in round one, when referee David Francion halted the fight at the 1:57 mark. Prenga has 20 knockouts in his 20 victories.

“Same as always,” Prenga evaluated his performance. “I get in the ring to box and always give my best, but when my opponent acted like he was tough and talked too much, I didn’t like that. So, I took him out in less than 2 minutes.

“I’m ready for anyone and everyone because it’s the right time for me. I want to fight again soon. As far as opponents in my mind I want the one that holds the title, and God willing I will get there soon.”

Prenga vs. Jones was a scheduled 8-round main event on February 21 at Showboat Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The following day in Detroit, Taylor fought on a Salita Promotions card, headlined by his promotional stablemate, undisputed world heavyweight champion Claressa Shields, and viewed worldwide on DAZN.

“The Pryce Was Right” again for Taylor, 29, who destroyed James Evans (9-3-1, 7 KOs) enroute to fifth-round stoppage. A trio of effective left hooks from Taylor left Evans battered and hanging on. The punishment continued as Taylor dropped Evans again and it was only a matter of time. The onslaught continued in the fifth round as Taylor sent Evans to a knee with a sweet left uppercut-straight right. Even though Evans managed to beat the count, the referee waved off the fight for a fifth-round technical knockout triumph for Taylor.

“I put on a master class of ring cutting,” Taylor commented. “I was dominant, strong and showed a little glimpse of angles and head movement, along with a sense of future greatness. I’m more of a chess player in the ring. I don’t rush in trying to take out my opponent because I know we’re both heavyweights and it only takes one big punch. I learned who he was during the first two rounds and adjusted.

“I wasn’t sure if he could take my right. He was good with the overhand right, but I saw that he couldn’t take my straight right. I beat him with my straight right over the next few rounds until the fight ended.”

Sullivan, a former New York State Athletic Commission Deputy Commissioner, also manages 3-time, 2-division World Champion Miyo Yoshida (18-5), Bronx NYPD officer Nisa Rodriguez (4-1, 2 KOs), lightweight Fei Faiva (6-0-1, 4 KOs) and undefeated featherweight prospect Brooklyn Barwick (4-1, 4 KOs). Sullivan co-manages IBF Welterweight World title challenger Paddy “The Real Deal” Donovan (14-2, 11 KOs) and his cousin, middleweight Jim Donovan (2-0, 1 KO), alongside coach and ex-world champion Andy Lee.

19-1 Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga returns on February 21 to Atlantic City

NEW YORK CITY (February 9, 2026) – Albanian heavyweight Kristian “KP” Prenga (19-1, 19 KOs) will ride a 15-win streak into his February 21st 8-round fight against Joe Jones (16-14-1, 10 KOs) on an RDR Promotions-card at the Showboat Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.

The power-punching Prenga, a former 2-time European kickboxing champion, will be fighting in A.C. for the fifth time. Now fighting out of Edgewater, New Jersey, the 34-year-old Prenga enjoys fighting there. Prenga is coming off a first-round stoppage of Brandon Carmack last December 6 in Atlantic City at Ballys Park Place Hotel Casino.

“This is going to be a great fight,” the 6’ 5”, 260-pound Prenga said. “Jones is an experienced and tough opponent. I have been training hard and camp is going great. I like fighting in Atlantic City because my fans enjoy spending the weekend there, watching my fight, and if they are lucky in the casino, we all go home winners.”

Prenga, who is a former North American Boxing Association (NABA) champion, has an eye-opening knockout percentage of 100%, 19-for-19, and his lone loss was 9 years ago to Govanni Auriemma on points (77-74) in only his fifth pro fight.

Jones, fighting out of Jersey City, NJ, defeated Cleotis Pendaruis in his most recent fight this past January 9th by way of a 6-round majority decision.

Prenga will be making his debut as a member of Sullivan Managements growing stable of fighters.

“Kristian Prenga is an exciting and powerful puncher,” Sullivan noted. “I am thrilled to start this journey with a fight against an experienced Joe Jones in Atlantic City. Kristian is ready to showcase his strength and determination, and the fans are in for an unforgettable night. There will be a lot of Albanian flags flying in the convention center as the pride of Albania will be in full effect on fight night.”

Sullivan, a former New York State Athletic Commission Deputy Commissioner, also manages undefeated Brooklyn heavyweight prospect Pryce Taylor (10-0, 6 KOs), 3-time, 2-division World Champion Miyo Yoshida (18-5), Bronx NYPD officer Nisa Rodriguez (4-1, 2 KOs), lightweight Fei Faiva (6-0-1, 4 KOs) and undefeated featherweight prospect Brooklyn Barwick (4-0, 4 KOs). Sullivan co-manages IBF Welterweight World title challenger Paddy “The Real Deal” Donovan (14-2, 11 KOs) and his cousin, middleweight Jim Donovan (2-0, 1 KO), alongside coach and ex-world champion Andy Lee.

Sullivan Management signs 19-1 power-punching Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga

addition of Albanian heavyweight Kristian “KP” Prenga (19-1, 19 KOs) to its growing roster of professional boxers. A former 2-time European kickboxing champion, Prenga clearly made a successful transition to professional boxing.

Now fighting out of Edgewater, New Jersey, the 34-year-old Prenga is an imposing figure, standing 6’ 5” and weighing 260 pounds. The heavy-hitter has a maximum knockout percentage of 100%, 19-for-19, and he is riding a 15-fight win streak.  His lone loss was 9 years ago to Govanni Auriemma, by way of points (77-74) in their 8-round bout in Albania. It was Prenga’s fifth pro fight.

Prenga had zero amateur matches in boxing before turning pro.

“I first started boxing in 2016 when I was 25,” Prenga explained. “I kickboxed before that and started boxing for fun. It wasn’t a hard transition, and I’ve enjoyed boxing a lot more than kickboxing.”

In a relatively short time, Prenga has built a passionate fanbase, especially among Albanians living in the New York/New Jersey area.

“I needed a manager to get big fights, one who is good at his job and believes in me,” Prenga said. “That’s why I signed with Keith Sullivan because he will do that so I can just focus on training.”

“All of my 19 wins have ended in knockouts because I’m a big puncher. Like every fighter, I want to be the champion of the world, and now all I need is ring experience.”

“Kristian Prenga is relentless, disciplined and unapologetically ambitious,” Sullivan commented. “He puts in the work quietly, and now it’s time to make some noise. I’m proud to work with him and excited to guide him toward the opportunities his talent deserves.”

Sullivan, a former New York State Athletic Commission Deputy Commissioner, also manages undefeated Brooklyn heavyweight prospect Pryce Taylor (10-0, 6 KOs), 3-time, 2-division World Champion Miyo Yoshida (18-5), Bronx NYPD officer Nisa Rodriguez (4-1, 2 KOs), lightweight Fei Faiva (6-0-1, 4 KOs) and undefeated featherweight prospect Brooklyn Barwick (4-0, 4 KOs). Sullivan co-manages IBF Welterweight World title challenger Paddy “The Real Deal” Donovan (14-2, 11 KOs) and his cousin, middleweight Jim Donovan (2-0, 1 KO), alongside coach and ex-world champion Andy Lee.
