Atlantic City Boxing: Figueroa, Popper, Lewandowski Headline Tropicana March 7

Atlantic City, NJ – February 6, 2026 – Boxing Insider Promotions will present a professional boxing event at the Tropicana Showroom in Atlantic City on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

The event is headlined by Junior NABF Super Welterweight Champion “Mr. Atlantic City” Justin Figueroa vs. James Blake Franklin (super welterweight).

Confirmed matchups: 

– Josh Popper vs. Dillon Pumphrey (heavyweight) 

– John Leonardo vs. Edgar Joe Cortes (super 

bantamweight) 

– Lia Lewandowski vs. Indeya “Azucar” Rodriguez (light flyweight) 

– Jacob Riley Solis vs. Jeremy Ramos (super welterweight) 

– Jim Torney vs. Trevor Kotara (heavyweight)

Also scheduled to appear: Julio “Julez” Sanchez III and Jahanzeb Rizwan.

Boxing Insider Promotions, named New York State Boxing Hall of Fame Promoter of the Year for 2023 and 2024, presents regular professional boxing events in New York and Atlantic City. This event marks Boxing Insider Promotions’ 20th professional club show since October 2022 and its seventh in Atlantic City.




Figueroa Stops Perdomo After 4

ATLANTIC CITY–Just Figueroa stopped Jose Edgardo Perdomo after round four of their eight-round junior middleweight bout at The Tropicana Hotel.

Late in round four, Figueroa dropped Perdomo with a left hook to the head. the fight was halted after the round by the corner of Perdomo.

Figueroa, 154 lbs of Atlantic City is 14-0 with 11 knockouts. Perdomo, 153 lbs of Uruguay is 9-8.

Otto Wallin stopped Chris Thomas in a round two of their 10-round heavyweight bout.

Wallin dropped Thomas with a left to the body and the fight was stopped at 1:100.

Wallin, 250 lbs of New York is 28-3 with 16 knockouts. Thomas, 241 lbs of Beachwood, NJ is 15-3-2.

Bruce Seldon Jr. won a six-round unanimous decision over Jose Medina in a heavyweight bout.

Seldon, 240 lbs of Atlantic City won on all cards 59-55 and is now 8-0. Medina, 278 lbs of Lake Wales, FL is 8-3-1

Josh Popper stopped Trevor Kotara in round three of their four-round heavyweight bout.

Popper dropped Kotara in rounds two and three. The fight was stopped after the second knockdown at 2:20/

Popper, 235 lbs of Somers Point. NJ is 5-0 with five knockouts. Kotara, 229 lbs of Gilbert, AZ is 4-5-1.

Lia Lewandowski won a six-round majority decision over Chamtell Sumrall in a super bantamweight bout.

Lewandowski, 122 lbs of Berlin. NJ won by scores of 58-56 twice and 57-57 and is now 3-0. Sumrall, 122 lbs of Dallas is 1-2-1.

Nathan Lugo went the distance for the first time in winning an eight-round unanimous decision over Diego Ferreira Lablonski in a light heavyweight bout.

80-72 twice and 79-73

Patrick O’Connor stopped Anthony Trejo in round one of their four-round cruiserweight bout.

In round one, O’Connor landed a right that was followed by a left to the body that Trejo down. The fight was stopped upon Trejo getting to his feet at 2:20.

O’Connor, 200 lbs of Waldorf, MD is 3-0 with three knockouts, Trejo, 186 lbs of Chula Vista, CA is 2-1.

Yoel Angeloni won a six-round unanimous decision over Brandon Diaz-Campos.

Angeloni, 150 lbs of Las Vegas won by scores of 60-54 on all cards and is now 7-0. Diaz-Campos,

Elijah Lugo won a six-round unanimous decision over Josue Silva in a middleweight bout.

Lugo, 160 lbs of Marietta, GA won by scores of 59-55, 60-54 and 59-55 and is now 4-0. Silva, 160 lbs of Mexico is 3-4;




Boxing Insider Returns to Tropicana Atlantic City with Local Talent and Regional Prospects on November 7

Boxing Insider Promotions returns to Atlantic City with a professional boxing event on Friday, November 7, at the Tropicana Showroom. The 10-bout card starts at 6:30 p.m. and is headlined by Atlantic City native Justin “Mr. Atlantic City” Figueroa and also features Otto Wallin, Bruce Seldon Jr., Lia Lewandowski, and the Lugo brothers.

Justin Figueroa: “Mr Atlantic City” Justin Figueroa (13-0, 10 KOs), a local favorite, makes his fifth appearance at Tropicana. Fresh off a unanimous decision victory for the Junior NABF super welterweight title in August, Figueroa aims to build on his momentum in his hometown. He is matched for the bout, but officials are awaiting contracts before announcing the opponent.

Otto Wallin vs. Chris Thomas: Swedish heavyweight veteran Otto Wallin, who has faced Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, returns to Atlantic City for his third appearance. He meets New Jersey’s Chris Thomas in a 10-round heavyweight bout. Thomas, known for his power punching, seeks to make the most of this matchup.

Bruce Seldon Jr. vs. Jose Medina: Undefeated heavyweight Bruce Seldon Jr. (7-0, 6 KOs), son of former WBA heavyweight champion Bruce Seldon, faces Jose Medina (8-2, 3 KOs) in a scheduled six-round contest.

Lia Lewandowski vs. Chantal Sumrall: Berlin, N.J.’s Lia Lewandowski (2-0, 1 TKO), a 25-year-old flyweight trained by former pro Milton Davis at The Kennel gym in South Jersey, makes her third professional appearance. A graduate of Eastern Regional High School and Drexel University, she was once ranked fifth among U.S. female amateurs at 114 pounds.

Julio Sanchez III vs. Mike Randolph: Pleasantville’s Julio Sanchez III, a 22-year-old welterweight and former standout basketball player at Pleasantville High School and Coalinga College, competes under the guidance of his father and coach, Julio Sanchez Jr.

Prospect Matchups:

  • Elijah Lugo vs. Josue Silva: Featherweight Elijah Lugo, holder of 26 USA Boxing national titles and five international championships, continues his transition to the professional ranks.
  • Nathan Lugo vs. Diego Lablonski: Super middleweight Nathan Lugo (5-0, 5 KOs) from Marietta, Ga., debuted professionally in April 2024 after an amateur career that included 25 national titles and qualification for the 2022 U.S. Olympic Trials.
  • Yoel Angeloni vs. Brandon Diaz-Campos: 21-year-old Italian-Cuban southpaw welterweight Yoel Angeloni, who boasts a 140-2 amateur record, looks to advance his pro career.
  • Patrick O’Connor vs. Anthony Michael Trejo: Undefeated cruiserweight Patrick O’Connor (2-0), a 20-year-old former national champion from Waldorf, Md., trains at Oxon Hill Boxing Club.
