STATEMENT FROM FANMIO INC. CEO SOLOMON ENGEL ON NATE DIAZ ALLEGATIONS

“Nate Diaz has filed a frivolous lawsuit against Fanmio which claims that fraud and breach of contract were committed by Fanmio, yet neither has taken place. In fact, Diaz has already been paid seven figures in connection with the fight. I look forward to resolving this dispute through the appropriate process and am confident that justice will prevail. Making salacious and defamatory statements to the media in order to harm my family and I has only strengthened my resolve to ensure that the truth will triumph.” – Solomon Engel, Fanmio Inc. CEO

Here is what the fighters had to say Wednesday:

NATE DIAZ

“There’s nothing heated for me. I’m here to do my job and get the job done. I trained hard and we’re here to win.

“I came here to win. By any means necessary. That’s what it’s all about.

“I just feel like over time, I’m getting sharper. I’m always working and improving. I’m going to do what I always do. I’m here for the fun and I’m here for the business. I’m here to get the job done.”

JORGE MASVIDAL

“My emotions won’t matter on Saturday. What matters is the training camp I’ve had for the last six months. Nothing that happened before matters to me at all. I’m just coming to knock him out.

“I never worry about my opponents. I focus on myself and training and what I have to do in the ring. I’m ready to get this going.

“Only thing I’ve ever brought to combat sports is violence and a little technique. That’s how I get my hand raised.

“I take every fight with the same amount of caution and respect. Whoever I’m fighting also has two hands. On a personal level, yeah I don’t like the dude for what happened at the last press conference. On July 6 he’s getting it. After that, training camp went from a boxing setting to a kill setting. That’s all I want to do.”

DANIEL JACOBS

“This is about legacy. I’ve never ducked anyone, and this is a prime example of that. He’s a great fighter, but I’m looking forward to showing just how great I am. I can’t wait to put it all together.

“I’m excited to be back. I’m soaking it all in. I’m a fan of this sport so seeing those fans yesterday who were excited to see us perform gives me motivation.

“I’m expecting a tricky style from Shane. He’s a fast fighter and an elusive guy. He fights very similar to his father. It’s a bit of a chess match until I figure it out.

“I do know that he is training 100 percent, so I’m ready for the best Shane Mosley Jr. yet. Sometimes people say things to get inside your head, sometimes people say things to deter you. As a true professional, I know I have a game plan come Saturday night.

“We’re not overlooking this fight, because it’s a good fight for me. Going against a young, up- and-coming champion. He’s had a long winning streak and looked very impressive. My ultimate goal is to beat a world champion.”

SHANE MOSLEY JR.

“Jacobs is up against a veteran. I don’t have his accolades yet, but I have my own accomplishments and the experience that comes with them. I appreciated this challenge. You can only get better by going up against adversity. When they said the name Daniel Jacobs, I said yes right away.

“My dad told me that this is my moment, get these opportunities and take advantage of them. I’m just going to be me. I’m going to take advantage of the opportunities and win.

“When you love what you do, you want to keep getting better and prove yourself. That’s what I’ve been doing. My whole team supports what I do and they help me love this sport. That’s why I keep going.

“We gotta see it how it is. You can have all types of plans that you want, but you have to see the situation to tell. I can tell you I’m going to do all this and all that, but come fight night we have to take it how it is and take it one step at a time.

“This a step in the right direction. I’m trying to be a legend. I believe I am in the title contender category.”

CHRIS AVILA

“I’m sure this is gonna be a tough matchup, but I prepared properly. I’m gonna out-box him and get my hand raised.

“I’m ready for Saturday. It’s been a long camp and a big buildup too. I’m ready to get in the ring. I’ve been boxing since I was a teenager. I also trained everything else and I had a MMA career as well. Now we’re boxing. I take my career very seriously and I take my training seriously.

“This is a good opportunity and I’m looking forward to taking advantage of it. I’m gonna win this fight and keep going.

“I know I’m going to get the job done and keep my streak going. This guy has a lot of credentials, he’s good. This is a buildup to get to the top guys. Come Saturday, I’m going to show my boxing skills and whoop some ass, then move on to the next.”

ANTHONY PETTIS

“I’m having so much fun in boxing right now. I know what I’m capable of and what I can do out there.

“I know what to expect. We’re here to put on a show on Saturday night and that’s all I’m focused on.

“I fought Roy Jones Jr. in my first fight and he was bigger than me. This guy is more my size so I’m going to knock this guy out.

“We about to whoop this guy’s ass. Saturday night, make sure everyone is tuned in.”

CURMEL MOTON

“I’m really happy to be here. Come Saturday night I’m gonna put on a great show. I’m really excited to perform in front of all the fans.

“Me going eight rounds in my last fight let me show the fans my skillset. But we don’t get paid for overtime. Everyone should expect me to end this one early.

“This is another step for me and another chance for me to show my skillset and keep getting my name out there. I’m going to show out and take everything I worked on in the gym into the ring.

I’ve studied Floyd my whole life, so there’s definitely parts of his game in my skillset. The more I fight, the more people will see.”

AMADO VARGAS

“I’ve been ready for this fight. I want to thank Sean for taking the opportunity. We both have a job to do and that’s what is gonna happen on Saturday night.

“This is gonna be a great show and I can’t wait to perform. I’m extremely ready to put on a great performance that’s gonna grab everyone’s attention.

“All the training is gonna be worth it. The talking is all fun, but Saturday we get to the real thing. Make sure you get your tickets.

“We’re gonna test his conditioning. I’m in great shape. I think he’ll start well, because he’s a good fighter. But I’m gonna show how great I am. He’s gonna fade in the later rounds.

“This fight is only going to make me look better. It’s going to help give me credit as a boxer that I am. This is a legacy fight. His brother has his legacy, my dad has his own legacy. We’re going to create our own names through this fight so I’m excited.

SEAN GARCIA

“I’m ready to show out. On Saturday night, I’m ready to get down to business. I’m here to end the Vargas dynasty. I’m here to fight and I’m here to knock him out.

“The energy is up now this close to the fight. Both of us and our teams are pumped up. I’m saying that real. We have eight rounds to settle this.

“I just want to show the world that I’m better than him. That’s why I took the fight. He is showing a lot of respect to me, but come Saturday he’s not going to show me any respect and I’m not either.

“I just keep training, keep focused and I have a good friend group. I have a good family back at home who I do it for. When the tank goes down, I just keep pushing, I kept running and now we’re here.”

DEVIN CUSHING

“He’s a good opponent and it’s a good step up for me. It’s going to be a good opponent on my resume.

“He’s got a grown man in front of him this time, not a 17-year-old. I get revenge for all my losses and Saturday night I’m spinning the block around. He was hand-picked for this.

“The way he looks at me I just don’t like. I’m gonna knock that look right off his face on Saturday night.

“It’s been a long camp, but it’s been a good camp. I’m in tremendous shape. I’m ready to go Saturday night.”

MANUEL CORREA

“This is the biggest opportunity of my career and he’s still mad that I beat him in the amateurs. He’s got cushion hands. We’ll settle this on Saturday.

“He’s gonna do a lot of running and trying to jab to my hands. He’s got no power. I’m gonna come forward, put the pressure and make him fold in round four.

“I feel great, I’m ready and I’m prepared. It’s time to show what we have been working on. My opponent has to be a good fighter if he got to 13-0. I beat him in the amateurs and in the Golden Gloves, so we’re going to do it again.

“It’s been my best camp yet. Tune in on July 6, it’s going to be fireworks. I know 4th of July is two days before but come Saturday you’re going to get more fireworks.”

Throughout their storied careers, Diaz and Masvidal have accounted for three of the top 10 highest-selling pay-per-view events in UFC history, with over 10 million pay-per-view buys combined over their careers.

Their first meeting saw Masvidal take home the inaugural UFC BMF title belt, a Diaz-inspired belt based on his constant assertion that the style he and Masvidal bring forward made them the “baddest” in the game. The bout ended prematurely in the eyes of many, as a cut over Diaz’s eyebrow resulted in a TKO for Masvidal. With the cut leading to an unsatisfying ending, July 6 marks an opportunity for these two warriors to finally battle it out to the finish.

DANIEL JACOBS VS. SHANE MOSLEY JR. VIRTUAL PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES

ANAHEIM, CA. – June 26, 2024 – Two-time middleweight world champion and boxing star Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs and exciting rising contender Shane Mosley Jr. held a virtual press conference Wednesday to preview their upcoming super middleweight showdown. Joining the virtual press conference was Mosley’s father, Hall of Famer Shane Mosley, and Jacobs’ trainer Andre Rozier.

Jacobs vs. Mosely Jr. will serve as the co-main event of “LAST MAN STANDING: DIAZ VS. MASVIDAL” on Saturday, July 6 in a Fanmio PPV from Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The 10-round 175-pound light heavyweight fight between combat sports rivals Nate Diaz and Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal headlines a pay-per-view that is available now for pre-order at FANMIO.com/ppv and FANMIO.com/DiazVsMasvidal. The pay-per-view is available at the SRP (suggested retail price) of $49.99, across all available purchasing platforms. Fans can also purchase through the Fanmio App, which is available globally via smart televisions and mobile devices via Apple iOS and tvOS devices, Android Mobile, AndroidTV, Roku, FireTV, Vizio Smart TV, Google TV and Chromecast. Fans who order the event through Fanmio will be able to order a free official fight shirt along with the purchase.

Tickets for the live event are on sale starting at only $25 (plus applicable fees and taxes) and are available through Ticketmaster. A limited number of VIP packages are available, which include the best ringside seats, all-inclusive hospitality in Honda Center’s exclusive Impact Club, the opportunity to step into the ring after the fight, VIP access to the weigh-in, and more.

Here is what the virtual press conference participants had to say Wednesday:

DANIEL JACOBS

“The thought of returning has been lingering in my mind for the last two years. I want to secure a spot in the Hall of Fame and I believe that there’s more that I can do. I’ve accomplished a lot and I’ve inspired a lot of people. I have more than enough to come back against a young hungry lion like Shane Mosley Jr.

“I’ve always taken on the toughest challenges that can present themselves. I look forward to giving my all and showing what I can still do.

“So many fans have reached out wondering if I was gonna come back and the time has finally come. I can’t wait to give the fans a great show.

“I’m 100% in. Once I set my mind to something, I’m all the way tapped in. I’ve been training for the last eight months now and gearing myself up mentally. Everything is designed for me to be great come July 6.

“You can’t kill experience. It’s something that can make fighters be victorious. I’ve gone through things that these young vets have not experienced. I can weather a storm and come out on top when people doubt me.

“I’m not fighting for livelihood, I’m fighting for greatness and I’m fighting to leave a legacy. That’s the strongest motivating force there is.

“Sometimes a break is good. Boxing is 80% mental and if your mental is not right going into a fight, sometimes it shows. This lay off has allowed me to get my mind and spirit right. Now it’s just about cementing this latest goal that I set for myself.”

SHANE MOSLEY JR.

“Training has been going great. I’m blessed to have this opportunity. This is the type of fight that you dream about as a young fighter. You work to get to these moments where you have a big test in front of you.

“Adversity shows the man to himself. You need these moments to define you. This is why we fight.

“I do this for the love and the legacy. I didn’t do this because of my dad. I do this because I love this sport. Just like Andre said, you do this because you want to be a legend and you want to be in the history books. The only way to do that is by beating people you’re not supposed to beat.

“Absolutely I see this as a step up. Nobody on my record is Daniel Jacobs. I haven’t fought anyone who’s accomplished what he has. You can’t run from an opportunity like this. I’m showing everyone that I want greatness.

“My dad was able to show me that a man can do great things if he puts his mind to it. But I stand on my own and I got into this sport for myself. I want to build my own legacy.

“My goal is actually to be undisputed middleweight champion, but when you get the opportunity to fight Daniel Jacobs, you don’t turn it down. I could have fought for a title at middleweight, but I couldn’t miss the chance to fight a legend.”

SHANE MOSLEY, Mosley’s Father & International Boxing Hall of Famer

“My son has been doing a great job in the gym. He works hard every single day. He really puts in the work. I’ve watched him closely in camp and I really love everything his coach has been doing with him.

“My son is in great shape, in great mental health and he’s ready to take on any challenge out there. Everyone wants to be a world champion and I know that he’s looking forward to this fight.

“I’ve been in the ring with my son a couple times and I know that he’s very strong and very fast. He’s a very hard opponent to fight. When we’ve been in the ring together, I’ve given him some of that experience facing a Hall of Fame fighter and I think he’ll be prepared for what a fighter of that caliber can do.

“From what I see, my son should win this fight. I think it’s going to be hard for Jacobs to shake off the rust. I’ve seen a lot of growth in my son. Not just physically, but mentally. If you look at his fight with Gabe Rosado, you can see that he’s made a big leap.”

ANDRE ROZIER, Jacobs’ Trainer

“Daniel wants to be a Hall of Famer. To do that, he has to bring back the Daniel that became a two-time middleweight champion of the world and show that it’s not over yet.

“We’ve been training and preparing and getting back on track. He’s ready to represent. We don’t look too much at opponent’s, we just look to bring the best Daniel Jacobs to the table.

“The tank is definitely full. What I’m doing now is putting more high-octane in it. On July 6 he’s gonna be more than ready.

“Now it’s all about us being in Canastota for that Hall of Fame induction. That’s what we’re working for.”

VIDEO: Diaz vs Masvidal: Press Event | Anaheim, CA | FANMIO PPV

QUOTES NATE DIAZ VS. JORGE MASVIDAL PRESS CONFERENCE HEATS UP AHEAD OF PRO BOXING SHOWDOWN HEADLINING FANMIO PPV

ANAHEIM, CA. – June 6, 2024 – Combat sports superstars Nate Diaz and Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal exchanged heated trash talk before a scuffle ensued between the fighters’ camps at Thursday’s press conference in Anaheim, raising the stakes and tensions even more ahead of their pro boxing light heavyweight showdown that headlines a Fanmio PPV event on Saturday, July 6 from Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The press conference also featured two-time world champion Daniel “The Miracle Man” Jacobs and exciting contender Shane Mosley Jr., who will meet in the co-main event, unbeaten prospect Amado Vargas, the son of former longtime boxing champion Fernando Vargas, who faces Sean Garcia, the younger brother of boxing star Ryan Garcia, in an eight-round lightweight attraction, lightweight contenders Devin Cushing and Manuel Correa, who face off in a 10-round bout, as well as Diaz’s teammate and all-action brawler Chris Avila and MMA legend Anthony “Showtime” Pettis, who will duel in a six-round light heavyweight fight.

Tickets for the live event are on sale starting at only $25 (plus applicable fees and taxes) and are available through Ticketmaster. A limited number of VIP packages which include the best ringside seats, all-inclusive hospitality in Honda Center’s exclusive Impact Club, the opportunity to step into the ring after the fight, VIP access to the weigh-in and more.

Fanmio will present the event in association with Diaz’s Real Fight Inc. and Masvidal’s Gamebred Boxing Promotions.

The 10-round 175-pound light heavyweight fight headlines a pay-per-view available now for pre-order at FANMIO.com/ppv and FANMIO.com/DiazVsMasvidal for $79.99. Fans can also purchase through the Fanmio App, which is available globally via smart televisions and mobile devices via Apple iOS and tvOS devices, Android Mobile, AndroidTV, Roku, FireTV, Vizio Smart TV, Google TV and Chromecast.

Here is what the fighters had to say Thursday from Brewery X Biergarten Patio at Honda Center:

NATE DIAZ

“I came here to whoop ass and do my thing. I hope y’all watch!

“I feel like I’m sick of this (stuff). I’m ready to fight. I’m ready for the show to go on.

“He better hope he gets the knockout. If not, he’s getting (messed) up.”

JORGE MASVIDAL

“I’m ready to get in there July 6, take care of business, knock this (guy) out and go chill with my family. Let’s get to it!

“At the end of the day, all that matters is that I’m in shape and like I said earlier, it’s not going to the judges. And not because of a cut, or nothing, but because of a clean KO. That’s what I’m training for.

“I’ve gotten more time to hone in on the craft, sharper at boxing, every day work on getting a little bit better, craftier and more efficient. All that just means more violence come July 6. On July 4, come celebrate the United States’ birthday and on July 6 come see me end him.

“I’m meaner. I’m faster. I’m more explosive. And when it comes down to it, I think I’ve got the best hands in MMA. On July 6, I get to prove that. No questions, no nothing. We’re going to find out. There’s none of that jiu-jitsu (stuff), none of that hugging, it’s just straight hands.”

DANIEL JACOBS

“I’m just happy to be a part of this card with so many champions, so many up-and-coming future stars. It’s an honor and a privilege and come fight night you guys are going to see why this is such a big card.

“I’m fighting the likes of Shane Mosley Jr. who’s an up-and-coming guy that’s very talented. I look forward to showing you guys, with all of the experience that I have, why I’m called the ‘Miracle Man’. I’ve been off for two years and now I’ve taken the time to get my mind, body and spirit intact. You guys are going to see the effects on fight night. I appreciate all the love, but you guys are going to see the return of the ‘Miracle Man’.

“I knew I wanted to finish my career with a bang. So this is representing the next step in me getting that Hall of Fame plaque.

“I’ve been a fan of Shane Mosely Sr. for my entire career. I’ve seen his son fight, but when you talk about levels and you talk about what it is that I bring to the table, obviously I see myself being the victor in whatever way or fashion that victory comes. It’ll be an honor to step into the ring with the son of a legend, but it’ll stop there because he’s not his dad.

“I know exactly what I’ve been doing and what works. I know what my team has been cultivating… I just want to say that I’m looking forward to July 6 and the West Coast is in for a treat for sure!”

SHANE MOSLEY JR.

“Like everybody has been saying, this is going to be an incredible card and an incredible night. Please don’t miss it. I’m blessed to be on this card fighting a legend. This man is a two-time middleweight champion. Most people can’t become a champion and he became champion twice. I’m excited to be a part of this event.

“This is by far the best fighter that I’ve been in the ring with. Nothing but respect. I have to raise my game. I have to be better. And to become better you have to put yourself in situations like this. Adversity shows the man to himself, so that’s what I’m doing, and this is my chance.

“Whatever happens, I’m going to become better because of it. And my goal is to become a legend as well. So I need to get in there with another legend if that’s my pursuit. So when they said you can fight Daniel Jacobs, I said, ‘Wow, yes! Absolutely, of course.’”

AMADO VARGAS

“I’ve been training my ass off. My dad has been putting me through rigorous training, and I can’t wait. You guys are going to see the improvement from the beginning of my career to where I’m at now and I can’t wait. Watch July 6 on Fanmio PPV. Let’s go!

“I’m a competitor. He’s a competitor. He’s looking to win. I’m looking to win. At the end of the day, there can only be one winner and that’s going to be me. I’ve been training really hard and I’m confident in the training that I’m putting in. Like I said, you’re going to see a different me, more skillful, more on-point. I just can’t wait. My pops has been getting me great sparring and I’m ready for this fight.

“Any man that puts on a pair of boxing gloves has a chance. So I’m preparing like I’m going to fight Mike Tyson. At the end of the day, I’ve got to be well prepared. My father and my team are making sure of that. On July 6, I’m going to put on a hell of a performance. Thank you to the fans and to everybody that’s here. Watch me go 11-0!”

DEVIN CUSHING

“I’m ready to put on a show. I’m going to kick his ass on July 6. All that running your mouth, you ain’t going to do nothing. I know everybody don’t know my name, but come July 6 I promise y’all won’t forget it. Devin Cushing, remember it, because I’m coming to steal the show.

“Three piece and a soda, that’s what he’s getting. I’m going to bust his ass up. I’m going to beat him up. I’m going to drown him. I’m going to knock him smooth out.”

MANUEL CORREA

“This is a huge opportunity for me. I’m ready to stand up and do what I do for my hometown. I hear him talking a lot of crazy, but you have to stand on that. You have to show us. We’re going to see. He hasn’t fought anybody yet. He fought a bunch of bums and he’s feeling himself. But you’ve seen who I fought. I fought Olympians with less than 10 fights on my record. So I’m not scared to fight anybody. I’ve been that way my whole life, and now he’s going to find out the hard way.

“It was all good back there. He was being friendly and then he came out here trying to act in front of the cameras. You know how they play, but we’re going to show him.

“Fans can expect fireworks. I’m always coming forward. If you look at any of my fights, I’m pressing the action no matter what. Win or lose, I’m coming forward.”

CHRIS AVILA

“I’m out here doing my thing right now. I’m planning on keeping the streak rolling and keep whooping ass. I’m training hard and I’m here to represent and get my hand raised.

“I know he’s game, but I’m game too. I box for real and I’ve been boxing for a while. So I train for real and I train in boxing. I plan on knocking this fool out, too.”

ANTHONY PETTIS

“This is a big opportunity on this card with all these guys, some of the legends I grew up fighting with. California, I know you guys are out here supporting us. Chris, I appreciate you taking this fight and we’re going to have a good fight.

“I’ve been sparring some of the best boxers in the world to get ready for the championship MMA fights I’ve had, and it shows. In my first fight, I fought Roy Jones Jr., so I couldn’t just go out there and knock him out. He’s a much bigger guy than me. Avila is more my size, so I can go out there and knock him out, and that’s what we’re training for.

“I think that extra month just added motivation. Both of us are ready to go. We were ready to go last weekend. So this extra month just adds that motivation to get the knockout on both ends. So look for a good fight from both of us.”

One of the most inspirational figures in this generation of champions, Jacobs (37-4, 30 KOs) completed his road from cancer survivor to world champion in 2014 when he stopped Jarrod Fletcher in the fifth round to capture the vacant WBA Middleweight Championship. From there, the Brooklyn-native would go on to reach the pinnacles of the sport, challenging middleweight greats Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin. He became a world champion for the second time in 2018, as he edged out Sergiy Derevyanchenko to take home the IBF Middleweight World Championship in one of the year’s most memorable bouts. His resume includes a series of triumphs over former world champions including Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Sergio Mora twice, Caleb Truax, Ishe Smith and Peter Quillin, who Jacobs knocked out in round one of their all-Brooklyn showdown in December 2015.

The son of boxing Hall of Famer Shane Mosley, Mosley Jr. (21-4, 12 KOs) has established his own place in the sport and enters this fight on a four-bout winning streak, including KO triumphs in his last two outings. The 33-year-old Los Angeles area native now trains in Las Vegas and most recently scored stoppage victories over D’Mitrius Ballard last June and Joshua Conley in December. Mosley fought his way to the final round of the 2018 edition of The Contender series, dropping a decision to Brandon Adams in the finale. Mosley has never been stopped in his four defeats, with three of those losses coming narrowly via either split or majority decision.

With the cut leading to an unsatisfying ending, July 6 marks an opportunity for these two warriors to finally battle it out to the finish.

“It’s gonna be two dogs in the ring. Neither of us are backing down. I know it’s gonna take everything I’ve got to take him down and shut everyone up.

“We already fought and he knows what I bring. I bring speed and power, and I’m not a nice guy. I’m gonna bring the heat like always.”

Here is what the fighters had to say Wednesday from Pier 5 at Bayside Marketplace:

NATE DIAZ

“If the last fight would of continued and gone to the end, this would be my city.

“He won the first fight, but I’m back for more. So that’s what’s popping. This is a new fight and I’m here to win.

“I expect him to do what he’s gotta do in there. He’s got a good coach and he’s doing what he’s supposed to do training, but I’ve been doing this a long time. We’ll see how it goes for him.

“I’m preparing for a way tougher fight from Jorge than I had against Jake Paul. 100%. Jorge is as experienced as it comes, so I’m ready for what he’s bringing. But having those rounds helped for sure.

“All I know is that we’ve been trying to make this rematch happen for a long time. He was the biggest opportunity in the game.”

JORGE MASVIDAL

“I respect what Nate’s done in his career, but that goes away when we step in that ring. I only have one thing on my mind. I’m gonna put an end to this rivalry.

“I owe it to this city more than anything to go out with a W, and several of them. I’m in a really good place now and have to come back and get those W’s for this place right here. Do or die.

“I want to take the judges and referees and doctors out of it and leave it up to my hands and get him out of there Kimbo Slice style. Dade County style. These people here want that violence.

“It’s a badge of honor to face someone who’s willing to put it all on the line. That being said, I’m gonna end this guy on June 1.

“This BMF belt shows that if you get after it, you can get it done. It doesn’t matter who you are, you just gotta put aside the nonsense.”

Here is what the fighters had to say Tuesday from Palladium Times Square:

NATE DIAZ

“This is part one really because we’re boxing now. We’re working to go in there and whoop his ass in the boxing ring.

“I knew I’d end up back here and that the time would come. I got right back to doing what I had to do after our first fight. I still feel like I’m the real BMF. I’m gonna continue on until the end of time.

“I take every fight seriously. I had too long of a camp for Jake Paul, but this time we’re starting closer. Regardless of who it is, we’re taking every fight seriously.

“I’m not going in there trying to get hit. My plan is to hit and not get hit. I’m coming to win. That’s what it’s all about.

“I’ll fight anyone in any combat sport. We got a fight to fight and we have to figure this all out on June 1.”

JORGE MASVIDAL

“I’m thankful that I’m blessed that I don’t have to compete for the money. It’s more for legacy at this point than anything else. There was some small speculation that our first fight got stopped early, so cool, let’s find out.

“I’m gonna go in there and do my job, get my hand raised and take his ass out. It’s nothing personal right here. I signed up for one thing, to be as brutal as I can.

“I’m fast and explosive. We’re boxing, and I’ve got these hands that are explosive. He’s getting the whole buffet.

“He called me a coward and quitter, which didn’t sit well with me. Tell me one time I’ve quit? I’ve never quit or tapped. Anyone else with 50 fights who never tapped?

“Usually the guy who won the last fight gets to decide a lot of things in negotiations. But I don’t care at the end of the day, because I wanted this fight. I’m a fighter.

“I’m a bigger dog. I have more heart than anyone in front of me. In boxing I have more hand speed, better head movement and I’m more explosive. It’s gonna come down to my speed and power.”

Here is what the fighters had to say Friday from Zouk Nightclub inside Resorts World Las Vegas:

NATE DIAZ

“The first fight is what it is. I’m better, I lost and it was how it was. It got stopped, those were the rules. I’ll fight to the end of time. There’s no stopping me ever. The tank is full now and it was full then.

“I’m training hard as always and staying ready for the next big move. I’m getting ready to rock.

“My tank’s full. I’m gonna try to beat his ass the best I can in this sport and go from there.

“We’re boxing this time, so it’s a whole other sport. It’s a whole new fight we’re getting into.”

JORGE MASVIDAL

“Y’all know what you’re gonna get June 1. Nothing but violence. That’s what I’m gonna deliver.

“I was busy chasing world titles after our first fight, so here we are now in boxing and I can’t wait to get in there and do my thing.

“I don’t think Nate really trained for Jake Paul and I don’t blame him. I don’t think it was his best performance. You know you better get in shape for this one. I’m a good athlete who’s mean. I’m coming to take your head off every time.

“I always felt I was the best boxer to come out of UFC and Nate’s bread and butter is his boxing. So it’s time to roll, I love it.

ANTHONY PETTIS

“Avila is on a winning streak and I’m always down to fight anyone, anytime, anywhere. This is nothing new for me.

“He comes to bang. He’s not afraid to exchange. I’m gonna go out there and bite on my mouth piece, so you know it’s gonna be a good one.

“I come from a great training camp with Jorge Capetillo and we’ve trained together for a long time. I’m ready for this next chapter of my career.”

CHRIS AVILA

“Boxing is something that’s natural for me. I’ve got an opportunity in this sport and I’ve been killing it. I’m looking forward to getting in the ring with Anthony.

“This is a really good opportunity. I’m gonna take advantage as much as I can and do what I have to do to get my hand raised.

“I know he’ll be good. He’s got a lot of experience as a former UFC champion. I’m focused on what I showcase in the ring. I’ll be ready for June 1.”

AMADO VARGAS

“We’re here on the big stage and I can’t wait. I know Garcia well from fighting in the amateurs, but it’s a whole new ball game in the pros. I can’t wait for June 1.

“He’s a clown and he has no power. I’m gonna stop him in the later rounds. I have more pro experience and I’m gonna stop him just like how his brother got stopped. His family are quitters.”

SEAN GARCIA

“We’re 1-1 against each other in the amateurs, but he knows I’m 10 times better than him. Deep down inside he knows. I’m gonna knock him out on June 1. His whole family knows that I’m better than him.”

NATE DIAZ AND JORGE MASVIDAL TO SETTLE HEATED RIVALRY IN BLOCKBUSTER BOXING SHOWDOWN SATURDAY, JUNE 1 ON FANMIO PPV

LOS ANGELES – March 13, 2024 – Combat sports superstars Nate Diaz and Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal will bring their epic rivalry to a long-awaited, violent conclusion on Saturday, June 1 when they square off in a professional boxing showdown headlining “LAST MAN STANDING” presented by Fanmio PPV from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

Fanmio, the renowned pay-per-view network focused on bringing the best entertainment to market, will deliver this much anticipated rematch to the fans who have demanded it for so long. Fanmio will once again bring two of sports and entertainment’s biggest personalities together on the grand stage, after their success presenting the blockbuster Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul showdown in June 2021.

This mega event will include a loaded undercard and be preceded by a multiple-city promotional tour and shoulder programming bringing fans inside the fighters’ camps (details to be announced).

The 10-round 175-pound light heavyweight clash headlines a PPV available for purchase at Fanmio.com/PPV and Fanmio.com/DiazVsMasvidal for the early pricing of $49.99 until Friday, April 12 (on sale from $79.99). Live event ticket information will be announced shortly. Fanmio will present “LAST MAN STANDING” in association with Diaz’s Real Fight Inc. and Masvidal’s Gamebred Boxing Promotions.

“When we started our journey into boxing, we wanted to bring only the most entertaining fights together that would help transcend the world of combat sports,” said Solomon Engel, Fanmio CEO. “Being able to put together the Diaz vs. Masvidal rematch in the boxing ring is in line with that vision. These guys are the original and true BMFs, have continuously sold out arenas and sold millions of pay-per-views. June 1 gives each the opportunity to write a new chapter in their storied history, settle their score and show the world who will be the last man standing.”

Already MMA legends who have garnered legions of fans with their combination of thrilling fighting styles and outspoken personalities, Diaz vs. Masvidal marks the first time two true MMA stars will go toe-to-toe in a boxing ring. Throughout their storied careers, these two fighters have accounted for three of the top 10 highest-selling pay-per-view events in UFC history, with over 10 million pay-per-view buys combined over their careers.

“Nate’s a dead man walking,” said Masvidal, who came out of retirement for this fight. “I can’t wait to prove that last time was no fluke. He got saved by the referee. Now we are boxing, which he says is his forte, but he’s got no shot at beating me. I’m not going to give him an inch in that ring to even breathe. If he thought our MMA match was bad, this is going to be much worse. I’m going to drown him. I want to put away any talk that him and I are the same, or that the referee saved the day. All of that talk ends June 1. Violence and throwing hands are in both of our bloods but as I proved before, I’m a far superior athlete and I’m a meaner fighter. When June 1 comes I’ll put all unanswered questions to rest, live for the world to see.”

Each fighter has risen to the top of the combat sports world with an aggressive, “in your face” style that is as identifiable as the cities they represent, with Diaz hailing from Stockton, California and Masvidal from Miami, Florida. While each has taken a different path to his iconic status, the two pride themselves on being self-made fighters and finally met in 2019 at Madison Square Garden in an event so big it marked the first time a sitting President of the United States attended a UFC show.

This first meeting saw Masvidal take home the inaugural “BMF” title belt, a Diaz inspired belt based on his constant assertion that the style he and Masvidal bring forward made them the “baddest” in the game. The bout ended prematurely in the eyes of many, as a cut over Diaz’s eyebrow resulted in a TKO for Masvidal. With the cut leading to an unsatisfying ending, June 1 marks an opportunity for these two warriors to finally battle it out to the finish.

The world-renowned MMA superstar Diaz shattered box office and pay-per-view records across the board with his rivalry against Conor McGregor that reached beyond the combat sports arena. Diaz split the two fights with McGregor, earning 1.3 million pay-per-view buys in the first matchup and 1.6 million buys in the rematch. Already established as one of MMA’s all-time biggest stars, Diaz is now immersed in his boxing career after making his ring debut in 2023 against Jake Paul in Dallas in front of a sold-out crowd at the American Airlines Center. An avid triathlete and martial artist, Diaz’s boxing training has included being a regular sparring partner of undefeated boxing legend, Andre Ward.

The fighting pride of his native Miami, Masvidal reached superstardom by delivering memorable action again and again across years of fighting at the highest levels. Among his accolades, Masvidal won the UFC’s Fight of the Night award three times as well as Performance of the Night four times. His all-action style also allowed him to record the fastest knockout in UFC history at just five seconds. In a career full of blockbuster events, his challenge of Kamaru Usman in 2020 stood out, as the mega-fight garnered 1.3 million pay-per-view buys. Already with a professional boxing victory on his record, he can now kickstart the boxing portion of his already-legendary career with an emphatic victory over Diaz in this anticipated duel.

Jake Paul Decisions Nate Diaz in Entertaining Fight

Jake Paul won a 10-round unanimous decision over Nate Diaz in an entertaining cruiserweight bout in front of a capacity crowd at The American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.

In round one, Paul hurt Diaz with a left to the top of the head and had him reeling to ropes as he landed a hard flurry of punches. Diaz made a stand in round four as he landed some shots that drove Paul back. In round five, Paul dropped Diaz with a short left hook to the side of the head.

The second half of the fight saw Diaz be more competitive as he was able to get to Paul several times by landing short shots on the inside that snap the head of Paul. There were several toe-to-toe exchanges that thrilled the boisterous crowd at The American Airlines Arena. The battled it out until the final bell.

Paul landed 174 of 491 punches. Diaz was 143 of 392.

Paul, 185 lbs of Cleveland won by scores of 98-91 twice and 97-92 and is now 7-1. Diaz, 184.9 lbs of Stockton, CA was making his professional boxing debut.

Jake Paul Quotes

On his training camp for this fight: “I’m a new fighter. The new team we brought in, the new strength and conditioning—- everything was new and I worked harder this camp. It pushed me to my limits. There were moments in the gym where I thought, ‘Damn I don’t even know if I can do this,’ but I just kept on believing in myself and now my gas tank is crazy. I could have kept on going. I could have gone 12 rounds and we are just stepping up and up, and after doing it in three years- I’m happy with myself.”

On what it’s like to fight Nate: “It was fun and I knew he was trying to take breaks so I would pounce on him when he was doing that. We were talking to each other the whole fight.”

“When you’re in there with another dog, you can sense it. It just makes the sport more fun and this fight was probably the most memorable yet.”

On his previous loss: “The loss was seriously the best thing. It set me on the path I was supposed to be on and you can’t cut corners in this sport. I was in the gym the day after the loss. I flew back from the Middle East and went to the gym every single day up until this fight.”

Nate Diaz Quotes:

On Jake Paul: He needed a takedown. He needed a choke. He did a good job. He’s a fucking athletic, strong dude and he hits hard and fast, but it ain’t nothing I hadn’t seen before, and I trained with people who were [like that]. These guys can throw down. It’s good shit. […] I should have been throwing punches, keeping him on the outside. I’m not trying to make an excuse, but about a month back I hurt my […] right arm, a bit. I think I should’ve kept to the outside and circled, and done better stuff. But it’s all good. There’s no way I [wouldn’t] show up for a fight because of something like that. You gotta go regardless, no matter what.

[The chokehold was a] done deal. In a real fight, the fight’s over, and I would have secured the win, but we were participating in a boxing match, and it was a good time, and now I know… I’ve trained my whole career in boxing with pro boxers on the highest level, high as I could get, and I’ve done really well. I’ve never fought in a pro fight, so I thought I’d fuck up anybody. The guillotine… that was too easy. The takedown was too easy too – I got the punch, his whole weight was in my chest. In MMA they smash my head and fuck me up.

I didn’t think I won. I knew he got the knockdown, but I figured I won a good amount of rounds.

On his boxing debut: I would’ve liked to have trained like I do – when I’m smaller. I was kind of concerned with getting bigger. I didn’t think he was much bigger than me.

On facing off with Jake Paul in MMA: Yeah, I think I would fight him. It’s easy to take him down. Two, three, four months [from now], I’m ready to rock. We’re going to talk.

On returning to boxing: 100%. Talk about experience. […] I didn’t even get cut today. I get cut in every MMA fight I fight in. I have nobody’s [name] in mind right now, but […] next week, get back to me. I’m sure I’ll have a list full of motherfuckers’ asses to whip.

(RFI) and American Airlines Center have today announced that the highly-anticipated Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz pay-per-view on Saturday, August 5, 2023 will be the second highest recorded gate for a combat sports event at American Airlines Center in history. Surpassing all previously held combat sports events, Paul vs. Diaz will be only exceeded by UFC 277 on July 20, 2022, which marked the first post-pandemic UFC event in Dallas.

Most Valuable Promotions and Elevate have partnered once again to optimize ticket and premium sales and marketing strategy after previously working together on Paul’s previous three domestic fights. Following the May 5, 2023 on-sale, VIP Ringside Packages for “Ready 4 War” sold out in less than a week.  Ranging from $2,500, $3,500, and $5,000 per seat, VIP Ringside Packages for “Ready 4 War” include a signed glove from Jake Paul and Nate Diaz (Row A only), ringside drink service, VIP access to the all-inclusive American Airlines Center’s Old No. 7 Club, a post fight photo opportunity inside the ring with official Ring Card models, and more.

Limited and remaining tickets starting at only $32 are available via Ticketmaster. The “Ready 4 War” bout is also available in the US and Canada on DAZN, PPV and all major cable and satellite pay-per-view providers and PPV.com. In the U.S., you can catch the highly-anticipated bout on ESPN+ in addition to DAZN PPV; and globally on DAZN PPV, FITE TV and other local market distributors.

Official “Ready 4 War” Fight festivities and events, free and open to the public, begin with open workouts on Wednesday, August 2 at 3 p.m. CT, followed by the official fight week press conference on Thursday, August 3 at 1 p.m. CT, each of which will be held at The Factory in Deep Ellum in Dallas. On Friday, August 4 at 5 p.m. CT, fighters will make their debut at the American Airlines Center for their ceremonial public weigh-ins ahead of the Saturday, August 5th fight.

With global icon Nate Diaz as his opponent, this event will be his biggest yet and we are already seeing it across the board from media attendance, social media engagement, sold out tickets and commercial pay-per-view buys,” said Nakisa Bidarian, Co-founder Most Valuable Promotions. “The sheer volume of these numbers speaks to Jake’s star power in what is just his eighth fight. Saturday night promises to be nothing short of spectacular.”

“We have headlined incredible shows including Madison Square Garden in front of the first sitting President to attend a UFC fight,”  said Zach Rosenfield, President of Real Fight, Inc. “As Nate makes his boxing debut, it is only appropriate that he does so in front of a sold out crowd in Dallas in front of an incredible fan base. Their support only furthers the excitement for this fight that continues to dominate engagement across social media, commercial PPV’s and more.”

“Elevate is proud to work alongside Most Valuable Promotions and Jake Paul to curate distinctive experiences for combat sport aficionados, and entertainment seekers,” said Flavil Hampsten, Elevate President.  “We look forward to Saturday’s record-breaking event.”

Green, the universally recognized number one contender, comes to the ring off her latest dominating victory, a 6th round TKO, over former unified world champion, Elin Cederroos, back in February. Curry, who boasts a decisive five-bout winning streak, will put her power and skill to the test as she steps in against the powerful Green. Rounding out the card will be Real Fight, Inc.’s  Alan Sanchez (22-5-1, 10 KOs) vs. Angel Beltran Villa (17-1, 10 KOs) as they go head-to-head in an 8-round welterweight bout.

The Paul vs. Diaz pay-per-view is presented by Celsius Essential Energy drinks and will be distributed globally by DAZN PPV. In the US and Canada in addition to DAZN PPV, Paul vs. Diaz will be available on all major cable and satellite pay-per-view providers. All tickets can be purchased at https://www.ticketmaster.com/mvp-jake-paul-v-nate-diaz-dallas-texas-08-05-2023/event/0C005EA581B12549

Green, the former Team USA star who boasts an impressive 12-0 record with 11 KO’s and the record for fastest KO in a women’s fight, joined MVP after a trailblazing few years in the sport. She is currently the mandatory challenger for Undisputed champion Savannah Marshall’s newly earned WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF belts, which sets up a bout that would be the biggest women’s fight in UK history. As a former standout college basketball star, Green spent years as a starter for Old Dominion University (ODU) where she was impressively named Third Team All-CAA and ranked top 20 in the CAA in scoring. The Paterson, NJ native later broke out into the amateur boxing scene when she joined the U.S. National Team as a heavyweight after just five fights, earning a silver medal at the 2016 World Championships in Kazakhstan. In 2019, Green transitioned to professional boxing where she quickly gained notoriety as a top female contender, ranking #1 in the WBC and IBO, and #2 in the WBA, ultimately earning her the Paterson Laila Ali Award.

“I’m at the top of my game right now,” said Shadasia Green. “I may be next in line for the super middleweight title, but right now, I’m strictly focused on knocking out Olivia Curry. The August 5th card boasts an impressive lineup of fights and it’s an honor to share center stage with female boxing legends like Amanda Serrano and Heather Hardy. I can’t wait to show fans in Dallas and at home exactly why they call me ‘The Sweet Terminator.’”

Curry, the professional boxer out of Chicago, originally hailing from Cincinnati, OH, comes to the ring after winning her last five fights. The 33-year-old began her amateur fighting career in Muay Thai, winning the TBA Classic and fighting the best Class A competition in North America. As an amateur boxer, she won the Chicago Golden Gloves and went on to represent Chicago at the National Golden Gloves three times. Curry was nationally ranked as an elite female and competed at the 2018 USA National Tournament. As a pro, she is ranked in the top 5 middleweight contenders by major sanctioning bodies and The Ring Magazine. Outside the ring, Curry is a commercial filmmaker. She is managed by Trinidad Garcia and Rick Ramos.

“I’m grateful to MVP and Real Fight, Inc. for the opportunity to fight Shadasia and introduce myself to the world with a bang,” said Olivia Curry. “I’m coming to Dallas to win. I want to show that women’s boxing at the higher, more dangerous weight classes is leveling up.”

RFI’s 32-year-old Alan Sanchez (22-5-1, 10 KOs), hails from Guadalajara, Mexico and has conducted his camp in Stockton, CA. He is the former WBC Continental Americas Welterweight Champion and is coming off consecutive victories that include wins over Saul Bustos (15-0-1) and Jose Miguel Borrego (18-2). Defined by the area’s toughness,  Sanchez is a 147 Ib standout who will take on Angel Beltran Villa who boasts an impressive record of 17-1 with 10 KOs. The 27-year-old from Mexicali, Mexico is currently training in Indio, CA and is entering this fight after an eight-fight winning streak, following his June knockout of Abraham Afful and unanimous decision upset win against Luis Lopez in March. He is managed by Francisco Garcia.

“Shadasia Green vs. Olivia Curry promises to be an exciting fight from start to finish. I am excited for the world to see why Jake and I are such big believers in Shadasia,” said MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian. “For the first time, every member of our current MVP talent roster will be fighting on one card, and I couldn’t be prouder of the team we’ve built. Between the energy of the American Airlines Center, our incredible PPV production with DAZN, and the quality of the Paul vs. Diaz fighters- this night will be legendary.”

“These fights are the final pieces of a main card that showcases the best in boxing, Real Fight, Inc. and Most Valuable Promotions,” said RFI President, Zach Rosenfield. “We wanted to ensure that fans who attend this event and watch it all over the world through DAZN are treated to the best that boxing has to offer, and together we know that is what we are delivering”

Most Valuable Promotions, founded by Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, and Real Fight, Inc., founded by Diaz, are partnering to bring Paul vs. Diaz to global audiences. The strategic partnership will combine the star power and international reach of both fighters to promote the year’s biggest fight. The event is presented by Celsius Essential Energy drinks and will be distributed globally by DAZN PPV. Silva excited for Sylve Clash; Believes experience is key

Tampa, FL (July 5, 2023) – On Saturday, August 5, lightweight contender Willian “Babyface” Silva meets highly-touted Ashton Sylve at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, TX as part of a DAZN pay per view card headlined by Jake Paul against Nate Diaz.

The card is presented by Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Real Fight Inc (RFI). Headed by Jake Paul, MVP promotes Sylve and believes he’s one of boxing’s next superstars.

A native of Los Angeles, CA, Sylvie’s 9-0 with 8 of his victories coming by knockout. Sylvie, who has a massive following on social media, served as the co-main event to the Jake Paul-Anderson Silva fight October 29, 2022, in Glendale, AZ. With 14,000 fans in attendance and 300,000 watching on pay per view, Sylvie scored a first round knockout of Braulio Santos. In his last bout, Sylvie went the distance for the first time, shutting out Adam Kipenga over eight rounds in Orlando, FL.

Training out of Florida and representing his native Brazil, Silva’s an excellent 30-4 with 16 KO’s. He’s faced the likes of Felix Verdejo, Teofimo Lopez, Arnold Barboza and Cletus Seldin. Since returning to the lightweight division in 2022, Silva’s displayed an aggressive style and scored back-to-back knockouts.

“Sylve is a young and hungry fighter,” said Silva. “He has a good record but I am for sure going to be the toughest opponent he’s faced. I’ve been in with world champions and top contenders, so I know what it’s like at that level. I’ll be well prepared for Sylve and hope he’s ready for August 5.”

Silva’s promoter, Jody Caliguire of Reyes Fire Fist Boxing, believes this high-profile opportunity is perfect for Silva and a victory will lead him to bigger opportunities in the lightweight division.

“Willian’s a better fighter today than when he faced guys like Lopez and Seldin. He’s made drastic changes in camp with his head trainer Jim McLaughlin and is hungrier than ever before. I believe Sylve is a good prospect but he’s biting off more than he can chew against Willian!”

MOST VALUABLE PROMOTIONS’ UNDEFEATED PHENOM ASHTON “H2O” SYLVE TO FACE LIGHTWEIGHT POWERHOUSE WILLIAM SILVA ON  THE JAKE PAUL VS. NATE DIAZ PAY-PER-VIEW ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 5TH AT THE AMERICAN AIRLINES CENTER IN DALLAS, TEXAS

DALLAS – June 28, 2023 – Today, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Real Fight Inc. (RFI) announced that undefeated lightweight Ashton “H20” Sylve (9-0, 8KOs) will face off with the much more experienced veteran lightweight William “Baby Face” Dos Santos Silva (30-4, 18 KOs) on the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz pay-per-view card live from the American Airlines Center on August 5th in Dallas, TX. Sylve is coming off a dominating win over Adam Kipenga as the main event of MVP’s inaugural Most Valuable Prospects event, while Silva is fresh off a TKO victory over Diego Gonzalo Luque. The two will take the ring in an action packed eight-round matchup contested at 135 lbs. The Paul vs. Diaz pay-per-view will be distributed globally by DAZN PPV. In the US and Canada in addition to DAZN PPV, Paul vs. Diaz will be available on all major cable and satellite pay-per-view providers. All tickets can be purchased at https://www.ticketmaster.com/mvp-jake-paul-v-nate-diaz-dallas-texas-08-05-2023/event/0C005EA581B12549

Sylve, the first prospect signed by MVP and ESPN Ringside’s 2022 prospect of the year, has knocked out eight of his nine opponents and has not shied away from fighting more experienced names in the ring, leveraging his formidable pound-for-pound power and fast twitch agility to deliver decisive victories in each of his professional bouts. The Long Beach, California native was a gifted amateur who turned pro at 16 with over 100 wins and 10 national titles to his credit. Sylve first rose to fame as an eight-year-old when a training video made by his father, Ivan, went viral, leading to an invite to Floyd Mayweather’s storied gym in Las Vegas.

“It has always been a dream of mine to fight among legends and shine under the brightest lights,” said Ashton Sylve. “MVP has continually given me the opportunity to do so, and I couldn’t be more excited about stepping back into the ring in what promises to be the event of the year. “I’ve been grinding like crazy to get ready for this fight, and trust me, my technique and skills will be on full display on August 5th. Dallas, get ready ’cause I’m coming for you! See you soon!”

Silva, a Brazilian native from Sao Paolo, and current resident of St. Petersburg, FL, holds the impressive title of former WBO Latino welterweight and WBO Latino lightweight champion. In 2016, Silva put his lightweight championship on the line, but was defeated by the powerful Felix Verdejo, but has since won a regional belt for the IBO. Silva continues to fight the best in the game with only four losses in his 17 year career by Verdejo, Arnold Barboza, Cletus Seldin, and two-weight world champion Teofimo Lopez who all had a combined record of 75-1 at the time of their fight against Silva. Silva steps into the ring with Ashton Sylve coming off two straight wins, most recently a TKO against Diego Gonzalo Luque. He is training under Jim McLaughlin, a member of the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame and is promoted by Reyes Boxing and Fire Fist Promotions.

“There will be fireworks during this fight,” shared William Silva. “I’m fighting for my family and country.”

The event will be distributed globally by DAZN PPV. In the US and Canada in addition to DAZN PPV, Paul vs. Diaz will be available on all major cable and satellite pay-per-view providers.

“Ashton continues to impress and entertain at such a young age and will bring his unique combination of knockout power and agility to the ring on August 5th,” said Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions. “This fight represents his toughest test to date against a battle tested and dangerous Silva, who has only lost to some of the best fighters in the game. Sylve vs Silva is just one of many thrilling bouts on this card that promises to keep fans in the arena and at home on the edge of their seats, and we are thankful to our partners Real Fight, Inc., DAZN, and the American Airlines Center for their consistent hard work as we continue to build out an unforgettable night.”

A veteran of both the UFC and Bellator, Chris Avila (3-1) has made the walk for 18 professional fights and has never been stopped or hurt during his time in the cage and ring. Fighting under the Real Fight, Inc. banner, Avila is a staple at the iconic Nick Diaz Academy in Stockton, CA and a regular training partner of Ready4War headliner, Nate Diaz.   After making the full time transition to boxing, Avila beat Anthony Taylor in a super middleweight boxing match in December 2021 and boasted clean sweeps against “Dr. Mike” Varshavski last October and Paul Bamba this past April. With a reputation as an aggressive fighter, Avila’s calling card is an overhand right, which landed him two first round KOs in 2021 in MMA fights as part of his five fight winning streak in combat sports.

“My last three fights I have settled the score with Taylor, and beat up a doctor and a dork,”  said Avila. “I’m looking for the best fights and the toughest fights. Jeremy has been around a long time and fought everyone in MMA. But he hasn’t fought me so let’s see what’s up over 8 rounds on August 5th in Dallas.”

“Chris is the first fighter signed under the Real Fight, Inc. banner and his career in combat sports speaks to what the brand represents,” said Zach Rosenfield, President of Real Fight, Inc.  “Jeremy has built a career on explosive fights that the fans love and matches up with Chris’s desire to fight an accomplished opponent who is willing to stand in the center of the ring and fight him.”

Jeremy “Lil Heathen” Stephens is an American professional mixed martial artist and boxer who has competed in the UFC and PFL’s lightweight division and recently made his professional boxing debut against UFC Hall of Famer Jose Aldo. Known as an exciting fighter with an “out of the box” style, Stephens is a 3x UFC Knockout of the Night, 6x Fight of the Night, and 1x Performance of the Night winner and has the second most knockdowns in UFC history.

“I am super excited to be in these times of MMA mixing with boxing – it is a huge opportunity,” said Jeremy Stephens. “And to have all the eyes in the world on this card, I plan on stealing the fucking show and giving the fans the ‘too hot for TV’ type performance that I always bring. I have a game opponent, and I’m going to highlight and leave people in memory of my performance. Knowing the world is watching me being my authentic self gets me pumped and I love it!!! This is life right now, LFG. War!”

Here is what Paul and Diaz shared:

Jake Paul Quotes

On why Nate Diaz: “Nate Diaz was always the plan after Tommy. That was what I said. Even in the build-up to Tommy, I was like it’s Nate Diaz after Tommy Fury. So that was always the plan… This is a big fight. This is a fight that I’ve wanted for a long time. [Nate] got out of his UFC contract and this is probably the biggest fight of the year, only topping me versus Tommy. I want to make big events, big fights happen and strike while the iron’s hot. He was a free agent. Let’s run it. Make it happen. Settle the shit talk. I’m ready for war. I’m excited to be here. Thank you for having me out, Dallas. I love y’all and I’m going to do what Conor McGregor couldn’t do, and I’m gonna knock this man out.”

On if it’s surreal to face Nate Diaz, and being called delusional to want to: “Look, that’s what people have said my whole, entire career. So I’m used to it. I’m used to the non-believers, and I’ve always said exactly what I’m gonna do and then I’ve done it. And so, yeah, we’re finally here. I predicted the future but it is surreal, you know, and I had to put in the work to get here. And I’m just excited to be here putting on massive events. This is just the start of what I’m going to accomplish. Everything else I’ve said still holds true as well. And this is proof of that.”

On impression of Nate Diaz: “I was sitting on the couch at my dad’s house in Ohio [when] I was probably 14 years old, and we were watching the UFC event and his fight came on, and I saw Nate Diaz. I had a crush on Cameron Diaz at the time and I asked my dad if that was her brother and he said, no, but that’s so the first Nate Diaz fight that I saw. Obviously, he’s a legend in the game and I’m excited to be fighting him. Twelve years later, you know, from the couch in Ohio to here in Dallas, Texas.”

On the Fury vs. Paul result: “I’m filled with vengeance, ambition, hunger, and drive more than ever before. I have a lot to prove, two chips on each shoulder, and it’s do-or-die for me. Truly, this fight is do-or-die. I have to leave it all on the line and I think it’s the same for Nate Diaz. You know, he’s leaving the UFC on a win. He wants to come into this game, make a bunch of money, knock out the YouTuber kid then go back and finish his legacy off. And that’s why this is such an amazing fight. But I just lost, and if he beats me, then where does that leave me? So, it’s two people who can’t lose, who don’t want to lose, who never back down, who keep on fighting. And that’s why this is war and I’m ready for war.”

On coming back from a loss: “This is the only thing I’m focused on and I’m filled with that hunger, and I have more conviction now than ever of what I’m gonna do in this sport. And when you’re doing a lot of fights, back-to-back-to-back, I’m knocking everyone out, putting them on their ass, making tens of millions of dollars, you can lose that hunger. That loss re-instilled that in me and I’m excited to come back. I said don’t judge me by my wins, judge me by my losses. So, I’m gonna come back. I’ve been working in silence. I promise you that. I promise you I know what I’m capable of, and this is going to be the best version of Jake Paul that you’re ever going to see in the ring.”

“[The loss] made me reevaluate everything. Look at myself, my coaches, the people around me, everything. And I think that’s good to do in life. It was sort of this reset and this opportunity to look into the mirror, and I learned more about myself in the loss than I have in any of the wins. It’s made me stronger – mentally, in life, and in everything that I’m doing – and it’s almost like a relief in a sense, because I never wanted to lose. But now that it’s out of the way, I can sort of be free and so in many ways it’s very, very freeing. I think it’ll help me fight being more calm and focused. I brought in a bunch of new people into the team, and I’m excited to show people my new skill set on August 5th.”

On people doubting him: “I like people to doubt me and I’m going to do what they couldn’t do, quite literally.”

“It makes me feel sorry for them because they’re not doing it, and it’s easy to talk from the couch. It’s easy to be a critic. It’s easy to have an opinion when you’ve never gotten the ring. That’s why I respect anyone who gets into the ring, win or lose, especially if you lose and then come back. That’s how you know if they’re a true, real fighter. So I welcome the critics. I love it. I let it fuel me. That’s what has brought me here today. Quite literally it’s the hate and the people booing me and the people doubting me. I sat in front of you at these press conferences dozens of times now and said exactly what I’m going to do. I was laughed at since the very first fight in my career when I said I would be here on the biggest stages. I’ve just continued to prove people wrong, continued to put it on the line, continued to never back down. I put every single one of my opponents on the canvas. Win or lose, they’ve all gone down. I’m a real dog and I know what I’m capable of, and that’s why when these corny people try to say shit, I just laugh at them. Look where I’m at, after three years. Are you kidding me? And not only that, I’m bringing people up with me, young prospects. We just launched Most Valuable Prospects – Amanda Serrano, Ashton Sylvie, all of these people. We have a new MVP signing, that when we announce it, y’all are going to shit your pants. So, I’m just getting warmed up in this game and I’m already, I’m already a statue in the game. I’m here forever. Even if I lose, guess what? Y’all are still going to come back in tune in.”

On taking on classically trained boxers and what’s ahead: “Nate’s classically trained in boxing. Like he just said, he’s been in the gym since he was 15 years old. You know sparring guys like Andre Ward, Regis Prograis….. I want to throw big events. Yes. But at the same time, I’m taking on fights to challenge myself and doing things that people would do… taking on hard opponents. I’m not just taking on these guys who are Journeymen who have these terrible records. I’m going to fight the biggest names in the sport and the best competition, and I’m just getting started.”

“I’m getting more and more experience under my belt with each fight. This will be my eighth fight and I’m just getting better and better in the gym. I spar against world champions, you know, and train with world champions all the time. So plan on that, in the future 100%, but taking it one fight at a time.”

On Hall of Fame potential: “I’ve done more for the sport than any boxers in current history. What has Floyd Mayweather done for women’s boxing? The list goes on. I’ve changed the whole entire game. Brought a new 70 million followers to the sport, put on bigger pay-per-views than some of these Hall of Fame guys…. So you want to talk about Hall of Famers, you want to talk about resume? Yeah, I’m building it up. I just got started in this game. This is my eighth fight and I’m fighting Nate Diaz, one of the biggest MMA fighters in history.”

On Training Camp changes: “I’ve switched up pretty much the whole entire team and brought in new people who are going to hold me accountable for my mistakes that I make even in the gym, even down to the nutrition, strength, and conditioning coaches. All that has been switched. I believe I learned a lot from the last fight, and I’m just implementing those things into my training camp and not going to make the same mistakes. I brought in Shane [Mosely] and Theo Chambers as well as J’Leon [Love] on the team and I was talking with [them] after the fight and they all identified the same little mistake that I was making in the boxing ring that needed to be fixed, which would allow the rest of my mistakes that I was making to be corrected. Once they were on the same page, Shane was free and willing to come in and do this full-time. So we assembled The Avengers team and things have been great now. I feel like a whole completely different fighter already in just a short amount of time. We still have 88 days until the fight, so I’m excited to keep on working. This is going to be my best performance yet.”

On why boxing: “I’m a fighter through and through and I love the routine, the discipline of the sport, being an athlete. I fell in love with it and I caught the boxing bug. I feel like this is what I was put on Earth to do, and the sport saved me in many ways, from where I was at. I was going down the wrong path, in Los Angeles, chasing the wrong things. Involving myself with the wrong people. Boxing gave me the opportunity to step back from that to learn who I was, as a man and to build and grow and to focus on something other than doing, you know, the stupid little YouTube shit that I was doing back in the day because that’s not truly who I was.”

On if there is a belt on the line: “Most valuable belt for sure. Let’s put it on the line.”

On Dallas hosting the fight: “I love Texas. Always loved Texas, and this is where I did my first fan Meetup ever when I was 16 years old. It was awesome to bring it back here and to really put on a show because Texas obviously has crazy fight fans.”

On who is the face of boxing currently: “I would say Canelo’s probably the face, Gervonta is the tits, and I’m the ass.”

On what keeps him motivated: “Legacy. Testing myself and challenging myself to become a world champion. That’s my ultimate life goal right now. Since everything else in my life is set, I could retire and focus on my investments, my sports betting, come with all these other things that I do; acting, working on a movie, all this stuff. So just that passion and still knowing that I haven’t done what I’m capable of in the sport yet and that I’m going to continue to get better and better and better until I can become a world champion. That’s my goal, and that’s what drives me.”

Nate Diaz Quotes

On Why Jake Paul: “Post UFC, my plan was always to fight the biggest names and the best fighters there are. I’ve been trying to get out of the UFC for a long time because I knew I knew that I would work. What fighters worked and what I should do. I have a long road but he was doing the biggest and the best things for fighting and in fighting and I was glad. I had a worthy opponent to make an attack on, as soon as I got out.”

On his opinion of Jake Paul: “He’s doing a good job. He’s been punished like he said. As far as the fighter, he’s young, he’s motivated. He’s working hard. I can see that. I’m sure everybody can see that. That’s kind of motherfucker’s unstoppable. That’s why I wanted to fight Connor and the [reason] I took time off from my fights, when I was fighting was because I wanted top guy and they were trying to give me some fucking lame ass motherfucker. [I want to fight the] best of the best and I think you did a great job and [I want] motherfuckers know that I do a great job too.”

On his opinion of Paul fighting Fury: “No one won or lost. That’s why I wanted to fight [Jake]. You know, I want to fight the guys who win but I don’t think [either] lost the fight anyways. And I think that was a hard fight to take.”

On Real Fight Partnering with MVP: “I appreciate everything that I’ve done and had to go through, because [it] got me to the point where I understood and knew what I needed to do, what I wanted to happen, and what should happen. […] I was watching, motivated the whole time, and it was just [a case of] time will tell, you know, [of] MVP [and] Real Fight coming together.”

On representing MMA vs. boxing: “I was being stereotyped as an MMA fighter. […] I don’t like being stereotyped as an MMA fighter. I’m a black belt in Jujitsu and I would have been a pro boxer when I was 18 years old, but a cage fight came up first. So I was stuck in a cage my whole career. And there were times when I got locked out and contracted right away, […] so I was just locked in longer and longer. I’ve been going to boxing gyms since I was 15 years old. I’m a pro boxer and I don’t think I’ve ever got my ass whupped in a boxing gym and not come back as the last guy to win when the round ends. So, I’ve always wanted to box and like I said, I’ve felt like a pro boxer the whole time. Every fight in MMA, I was training just like any boxer trains for a boxing match. […] So yeah, I’m glad I get to come here and showcase my skills in boxing.”

On what’s next after Jake Paul: “I don’t plan on losing anybody, but no matter what happens, I’ll be here, forever. I’ll be fine. No, I’ll be here. […] I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon […] I feel the same now as I did when I was 18, just with a lot of more experience and time under my belt, you know? And so the show for me is going on.”

On his professional fighting record: “I’m the best fighter ever, […] Everybody agrees with that. [Paul: You’ve got 15 losses.] But who did I fight? Top 10. I’ve been fighting top 10 guys the whole time. I probably fought five guys in my whole career that weren’t top 10 when I wasn’t top 10 either. […] What happened with Conor McGregor? How many rounds did I fight him? I fucking knocked his ass out in seven minutes. He got choked, because he was not trying to get hit no more, and he was smart and took the way out. That’s the way to get out here. Take it the way he had to. Isn’t that the goal of the sport? Seven minutes.”
