Nahir Albright took an eight-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Estivan Falcao in the lightweight main event event of a seven bout card at The Clarion Hotel in Essington, Pennsulvania.

Albright well and landed precise right hands that kept Falcao from every getting any sustained offense.

Albright of Philadelphia won by scores of 80-72 twice and 79-73 and is now 15-2. Falcao of Brazil is 11-1.

Romuel Cruz remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Roberto Pucheta in a super bantamweight contest.

Cruz of Philadelphia won by scores of 60-54 twice and 59-55 and is now 8-0-1. Pucheta of Mexico is 10-22-3.

Pro debuting Marvelous Corbin stopped Kaywann Sistrunk at the end of round three in their four-round super lightweight fight.

Corbin landed a vicious left hook at the end of the third round that floored Sistrunk, and hecould not beat the 10-count at 3:00.

Corbin of Philadelphia is 1-0 with one knockout. Sistrunk of Detroit is 0-8-1.

Mark Dawson stopped Vincent Floyd in the fourth and final round of their junior middleweight rematch.

Dawson of Philadelphia is now 10-1-1 with four knockouts. Floyd of Philadelphia is 4-14-1.

Erron Peterson remained undefeated with a fourth and final round stoppage over Igor Pesterev in a middleweight bout.

In round four, Peterson unleased a big flurry on the ropes that forced a referee stoppage at 37 seconds.

Peterson is 2-0 with two knockouts. Pesterev is 0-2.

Dominique Mayfield won a four-round unanimous decision over Jonathan Wiles in a heavyweight bout.

Mayfield of Philadelphia won by scores of 40-36 on all cards and is now 2-1. Wiles of Philadelphia was making his pro debut.

Famous Wilson remained undefeated with a first round stoppage over Tyler Jacques in a four-round middleweight bout.

Wilson dropped Jacques twice with body shots with the second coming at the end of the round and Jacques could not beat the count at 3:00.

Wilson is 2-0. Jacques is 0-5-1.

Alexis Rocha stopped Blair Cobbs in a welterweight battle at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.

In round eight, Rocha dropped Cobbs with a hard right to the bottom the chin. In round nine, Rocha had Cobbs in trouble with body shots and then he landed some chopping lefts. A big uppercut drove Cobbs to the ropes. Rocha was relentless until the bout was stopped at 44 seconds.

Rocha – Cobbs was bumped up to the main event after Vergil Ortiz fell ill for his bout with Michael McKinson.

McKinson Decisions Martin

Michael McKinson won a 10-round unanimous decision over late-replacement Alex Martin in a welterweight fight.

McKinson, 146 lbs of Portsmouth, ENG won by scores of 99-91, 98-92 and 97-93 and is now 22-0. Martin, 147 lbs ofChicago, IL is 17-4.

Bektemir Melikuziev stopped David Zegarra in round two of their eight-round light heavyweight bout.

In round two, Melikuziev landed a perfect left to the body that sent Zegarra in pain to a knee and he did not beat the 10-count at 30 seconds.

Sanchez Decisions Munera

Evan Sanchez remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Alejandro Munera in a middleweight fight.

In round four, Sanchez dropped Munera with a right hook.

Alex Rincon stopped Luis Sanchez in round two of a scheduled eight-round middleweight bout.

In round two, Rincon dropped Sanchez with a right. Sanchez wobbled to his feet, but was able to continue…for a few seconds, as Rincon landed another big right that sent Sanchez down again, and the fight was stopped at 1:44

John Ramirez remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Roberto Pucheta in a bantamweight fight.

In round two, Pucheta had to bleed from the nose.

Dalis Kaleiopu stopped Manuel Lara in the fourth and final round of their lightweight bout.

In round one, Kaleiopu dropped Lara with a right to the head. Later in the round, Lara went down from a body shot.

In round four, it was a three-punch combination to the head that dropped Lara to his knees and the bout was stopped at 2:15.

LOS ANGELES (March 17, 2022) – Undefeated Los Angeles bantamweight prospect John “Scrappy” Ramirez (8-0, 7 KOs) returns to the ring this Saturday (Mar. 19) to take on Roberto “Escorpion” Pucheta (10-20-3, 10 KOs), of Mexico, in a 6-round bout on the Blair Cobbs-Alexis Rocha card (replacing Vergil Ortiz, Jr.-Michael McKinson), presented by Golden Boy Promotions.

Ramirez is an LA inner-city sports legend. His journey started on the gridiron, not in a ring, when he was a key member of the Lincoln High football team, profiled in a 2015 documentary, “ESPN 60: Letterman.” The players were from a crime-ridden section of Hollywood riddled with drugs and guns. Ramirez was a 5’ 4”, 160-pound running back on a team that, starting in Pop Warner competition, and advanced to Lincoln High, which hadn’t experienced success in football. Lincoln High went on to become a 3-time league champion, highlighted by its semifinal playoff appearance in his senior year, which eventually led “Scrappy” to a roster spot on the Los Angeles Valley College’s football team.

“The venue is only a five-minute drive from my home,” an excited Ramirez said. “I literally drive by it every day. I grew up around USC and played football there. Now, I’m fighting in the inner-city where I grew up. That’s pretty dope! My dream is to fight at Staples Center, which is only a three-minute drive for me. I’m getting closer.

“Things like this don’t happen by accident. On March 18th, I’ll showcase my skills in front of my people. LA is the City of Champions, but we haven’t had a world boxing champion since Oscar de la Hoya, who grew up in East LA. My goal is to be the next LA champ.”

“Scrappy,” who was one of the most active fighters in 2021 with seven bouts, successfully transitioned from football to boxing, albeit a relatively short amateur boxing career with only 25 amateur matches. He did garner top honors in the Sugar Bert National Championships, as well as in the regional Golden Gloves and SoCal tournaments.

“I last fought on December 18th, took a week off, and went right back to training camp at Brickhouse Boxing Club (N. Hollywood),” the 26-year-old Ramirez added. “I’m getting better and that’s super exciting for me. I’ve been with my strength-and-conditioning coach, running, and working on my boxing skills. My training hasn’t stopped, it’s going full force.”

Pucheta has been stopped only once in 33 pro fights, back in 2016 by Emanuel Navarrete, the current World Boxing Organization (WBO) Super Bantamweight Champion, who sports a 35-1 (29 KOs) pro record.

“He’s a tough, durable opponent,” Ramirez noted, “who has been in the ring with a lot of good prospects. This is a great opportunity for me to make a statement by becoming only the second to knock him out.”

Ramirez’ accelerated pace and development continues this Saturday, when it’ll be “Scrappy Time” once again, only this time at home.

“I want to be at the top and will,” he concluded. “Every fight elevates me. My goal is to be No. 1 in my weight class, and I’ll get there because of my hard work and dedication.”

PHILADELPHIA–Atif Oberlton stopped Brent Oren in round two of a scheduled sox-round light heavyweight bout in front of a large audience at the 2300 Arena.

Oberlton was patient early as landed some power punches. At the end of round one, Oberlton landed a hard left hand the bel.. That was a precursor of things to come as in round two, Oberlton ramped up the offense and dropped Oren twice. The second knockdown hurt Oren and the fight was stopped at 1:38.

Oberlton of Philadelphia was making his hometown debut and the heralded prospect is 4-0 with four knockouts. Oren of Harrisburg, PA is 4-7.

Quadir Albright needed just 29 seconds to destroy William Hernandez in their six-round junior welterweight bout.

Albright landed some vicious shots that hurt Hernandez. Albright landed more hard punches to a defenseless Hernandez and the fight was stopped.

Albright of Philadelphia is 4-0 with four knockouts. Hernandez of Kent, WA is 7-2.

James Bernadine made quick work by stopping Edgar Torres in just 76 seconds of their six-round welterweight fight.

In the opening seconds, Bernadine dropped Torres with a hard left hand. He was all over Torres and landed a hard flurry of punches and the bout was stopped.

Bernadine of Lancaster, PA is 5-0-1 with three knockouts. Torres of Woodbridge, VA is 8-3-1.

Jonathan Rodriguez and Roberto Pucheta battled to a six-round draw in a bantamweight contest.

Both fighters won cards by 59-56 scores and a third card read even at 57-57.

Rodriguez of Bethlehem, PA is 9-1-1. Pucheta of Mexico is 10-20-3.

Rasheed Johnson won a four-round split decision over Andres Abarca in a welterweight bout.

Julian Gonzalez stopped Tyriek Gainey in round one of their scheduled four-round junior lightweight bout.

Gonzalez dropped Gainey with a hard right hand. Gonzalez landed a flurry of punches that hurt Gainey on the ropes and the fight was stopped at 2:06.

Gainey of Reading, PA is 5-0 with five knockouts. Gainey of Paterson, NJ is 0-2.

Devon Young remained undefeated with a four-round unanimous decision over Nicoy Clarke in a heavyweight bout.

Young pounded away at a game Clarke and won by scores of 40-36 cards.

Young of Aiken, South Carolina is 2-0. Clarke of Jersey City, NJ is 2-7.

Samuel Teah took out Larry Fryers in the opening round of their scheduled 10-round super lightweight bout that headlined a seven bout card in front of crowded 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

In the opening frame, Teah landed a double-jab that was followed by a booming right hand that sent Fryers hard to the canvas. Fryers was wobbly and ate a huge flurry of punches and the fight was stopped at 2:42.

With the win, Teah of Philadelphia is 18-4-1 with eight knockouts. Fryers of Yonkers, NY via Clones, IRE is 11-5.

Former two-time world title challenger Jesse Hart made a triumphant return to Philadelphia by pounding out an eight-round unanimous decision over Mike Guy.

Hart, who fighting for the first time in 20-months, controlled the action and landed the harder punches throughout the contest. Guy was sturdy, but landed very few punches. Guy showed a good chin as he ate some nice uppercuts from the taller Hart.

Hart, 169.5 lbs of Philadelphia won by scores of 80-72 and 79-73 twice and is now 27-3. Guy, 171 lbs of Sacramento, CA is 12-7-1.

Jabril Noble stopped David Boria in the final round of their four-round lightweight fight.

It was a tough fight that saw Noble get the better of the action. In round four, Noble hurt Boria with a left hook. Noble followed up with a barrage of punches, and the fight was stopped at 1:24.

Brendan O’Callaghan remained undefeated with a four-round unanimous decision over debuting Davon Hall in a middleweight fight.

PHILADELPHIA–It was a battle of undefeated welterweights that highlighted RDR Promotions 2nd night of back-to-back shows as Mark Dawson won an eight round unanimous decision over towering Ivan Pandzic at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia.

The opening rounds saw Pandzic trying to use his 6’4″ frame with shots from the outside. His shots were largely ineffective, and Dawson was able to get to the distance where he was able to land solid counter shots. Pandzic was drawn into a firefight on several occasions, which was much to the delight of Dawson as he got the better of the exchanges which led to Pandzic being sent home with his first loss by scores of 79-73, 78-74 and 77-74.

Dawson, 148 lbs of Philadelphia is 9-0-1. Pandzic, 146.2 lbs of Rancho Cucamonga, CA is 13-1-1.

Sean Hemphill remained undefeated as he systematically beat down Robert Burwell in a super middleweight bout.

Jabril Noble made a successful pro debut with a second round stoppage of Deijerro Revello in super featherweight bout.

Noble dropped Revello in round two with a left hook. he finished it up secons later with another left hook that dropped Revello and the fight was halted at 1:12.
