(May 12, 2026) — With less than two weeks to go until Jones vs. Gualtieri, the scheduled 12-round middleweight main event has officially been elevated to an IBF eliminator, with the winner earning a shot at the IBF world title. Undefeated knockout artist Amari “The Reaper” Jones (16-0, 14 KOs) will headline in front of his hometown Bay Area fans against former world champion Vincenzo “Il Capo” Gualtieri (25-1-1) of Germany on Friday, May 22 at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. The event will stream live worldwide on DAZN.

Peralta will be making his U.S. debut after capturing multiple regional titles and previously challenging for the WBC interim cruiserweight title.

Rising super middleweight contender Darius “DFG” Fulghum (14-1-1, 12 KOs) will compete in a 10-round bout against Miami-based Yoanki “The Diamond” Urrutia (17-2, 7 KOs). Opening the DAZN broadcast, Los Angeles’ John “Scrappy” Ramirez (16-1, 9 KOs) will face Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s Van Tran (19-2, 11 KOs) in a 10-round super flyweight contest.

The preliminary card will feature Fresno, California’s Jordan Fuentes (6-0, 2 KOs) in a six-round super flyweight bout against an opponent to be announced. In a four-round super featherweight fight, Salinas, California’s Jose Medrano (2-0, 1 KO) will take on Aurora, Colorado’s Anel Dudo (4-8-1, 1 KO). Vergil Ortiz Jr. took out Erickson Lubin in round two of a 12-round WBC Interim Super Welterweight bout at Dickie Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

After a feeling-out first round, Ortiz pinned Lubin on the ropes and landed six short shots which was highlighted by a right around the gloves to the head and a left hook to the jaw that completely froze Lubin on the ropes and the fight was stopped before Lubin could get seriously hurt at 1:30.

Ortiz, 153.8 lbs of Grand Prairie, TX is 24-0 with 22 knockouts. Lubin, 154 lbs of Kissimmee, FL is 27-3,

After the fight, Ortiz and Jaron “Boots” Ennis confronted each other and stared down which will hopefully set up a huge fight between the two that will take place in the first quarter of 2026.

“There wasn’t much to evaluate — I just capitalized on his mistakes. I took as much information as I could and used it. The adjustments I made in the second round were to just be cautious. I’m patient,” said Vergil Ortiz Jr.

“I feel people think I’m just a come-forward fighter. Yeah, I’m a come-forward fighter — I love the fight. That’s why I’m in boxing. But you have to be smart too, and I can be smart when I want. I kind of felt I would dominate Lubin, but I just had to believe in myself, and that’s what I did. There were so many people saying I was going to get gassed or that he was going to knock me out. Look, he’s a great fighter, but there are levels to this.”

Fulghum and Stevens Fight to Draw

Darius Fulghum and David Stevens fought to a 10-round majority draw in a super middleweight bout.

Scores were 96-94 for Fulghum and 95-95 twice.

Fulghum landed 99 of 359 punches. Stevens was 97 of 414.

Fulghum, 167.8 lbs of Houston is 14-1-1. Stevens, 168 lbs of Reading, PA is 15-2-1.

Safar Decisions Miller

In a battle of undefeated cruiserweight, Robin Safar won a 10-round unanimous decision over Derrick Miller Jr.

At the very end of round two, Safar tried to headbutt Miller and he was deducted a point.

Safar, 199.8 lbs of Las Vegas won by scores of 99-90 twice and 98-81 and is now 19-0. Miller, 197.6 lbs of Monroe, MI is 18-1

Eric Priest and Esneiker Correa battled to a eight-round draw in a middleweight bout.

Priest won a card 79-73; Correa took a card 77-75 and a third card was even at 76-76.

Priest, 160.2 lbs of Los Angeles is 16-0-1. Correa, 159.6 lbs of Miami us 16-6-3.

Javier Meza won a six-round unanimous decision over Joshua Briones in a welterweight bout.

Meza, 142 lbs of Amarillo, TX won by scores of 59-55 and 58-56 twice and is now 5-0. Briones, 141.2 lbs of El Paso, TX is 3-5-1.

Sam Castellanos stopped Ricardo Elizalde in round two of their four-round super welterweight clash.

Castellanos scored a knockdown in round two and the bout was stopped at 1:55 when the corner of Elialde stopped the bout,

Castellanos, 152,2 lbs of Gilroy, CA is 4-0 with tree knockouts, Elizalde, 153 lbs of Tulsa, OK is 0-2.

William Zepeda won the fight. Tevin Farmer was the star of the show.

Zepeda won a 12-round majority decision to retain the WBC Interim Lightweight title in what turned out to be a thrilling fight in Cancun, Mexico.

Zepeda dominated the early part of the fight with his volume punching. In round three, it seemed that Farmer hurt either or both his left hand and elbow. There were several times where in between rounds that Farmer would bow out of the fight and during rounds it looked like he was unable to defend himself against the volume of Zepeda. Farmer looked badly hurt on several occasions.

In round six, Zepeda began to bleed from the nose. Once Farmer got used to fighting with the injuries, he went to work and started to dominate and even hurt Zepeda down the stretch. In round 12, Farmer landed a left to the head that seemed to make Zepeda’s glove touch the canvas, but referee Michael Griffin ruled a slip. Farmer was able to land several flush flurries but it was too liitle too late as Zepeda was able to hang on for the victory.

Zepeda landed 344 of 974 punches. Farmer was 152 of 679.

Zepeda of Mexico won by scores of 116-112, 115-113 and 114-114 to raise his undefeated record to 33-0. Farmer of Philadelphia is now 33-8-1.

The fight was a rematch from November where Zepeda won a split decision.

“Tevin Farmer is a tremendous fighter,” said William Zepeda, “I knew what I was risking by taking this fight. I have learned a lot now having gone 22 rounds with him, and I can’t wait to go back to the gym to continue to grow. I want to thank all my fans for being here, and for all their support. Oscar Collazo Stops Cano to Retain Minimumweight Title

Oscar Collazo retained the WBO Minimumweight Title with a five round beatdown of Edwin Cano.

Collazo dominated and then in round five all of the body work started to do Cano in and a left to the body sent a spent Cano down for the count at 1:12.

Collazo, 105 lbs of Puerto Rico is 12-0 with nine knockouts. Camo, 104.9 lbs of Mexico is 13-3-1.

Velazquez Decisions Castillo

Joselito Velazquez won a 10-round unanimous decision over Adolfo Castillo in a super flyweight bout.

In round one, Velazquez was cut over the right eye from an accidental headbutt. In round three, another butt caused a bad cut around the right eyebrow of Velazquez.

Velazquez, 114 1/4 lbs of Cancun, MEX won by scores of 100-89 twice and i97-92 and is now 21-1-1. Castillo, 114 1/2 lbs of Durango, MEX is 12-5-2.

Safar Stops Gonzalez in 5

Robin Safar stopped Roberto Silva in round five of their 10-round cruiserweight bout.

After a pedestrian beginning, Safar turned up the heat and started batter Silva and the fight was stopped at 2:55.

Safar is now 18-0 with 13 knockouts. Silva is now 13-4.

Valle Decisions Esparza

In a battle of former unified world champions, Yokasta Valle won a 10-round split decision over Marlen Esoarza in a flyweight bout.

Valle, 110.6 lbs of San Jose, CR won by scores of 97-93 twice, wile Esparza won a card 96-94.

Valle is now 33-3. Esparza, 113.9 lbs of Houston is 15-3.

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 22, 2022) – Cruiserweight, Robin Safar (15-0, 11 KOs), scored an impressive knockout against Antonio Brown (8-2, 8 KOs), to remain undefeated. The scheduled 6-round bout took place this past Friday, August 19, 2022, at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California.

Safar, who’s managed by Oliver Cabrera, in association with FightStars, dominated the action from the opening bell. Trained by Ibin Casson, Safar took his instructions wisely as his plan was to attack the body early. Safar ended the bout when he landed a devastating left hook to the body of Brown. Brown was counted out at the 2:00 mark of round one.

Unfortunately, Safar tore his right biceps in this fight. He estimated ring return is undetermined at this time.

“I was feeling great as this fight was happening, but I felt my right biceps pop and it happened midway through the first round, which forced me to start throwing more left hooks to the body,” stated Safar. “I was thrilled that I was able to get him out of there early. Now, I must get the proper care to fix this injury. I’m hoping to be back by early next year.”
