‘POPEYE’ DOMINATES

White Plains, New York (January 12, 2025) – Star Boxing’s Richard ‘Popeye’ Rivera (27-2, 20KO), looked dominant as he headlined Saturday’s (Jan 11th) event at The Palladium in Worcester, MA, against the durable veteran Roger Guerrero.

Rivera had the crowd on their feet as he made his walk towards the ring, singing a rendition of the song ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You’ by KISS. In true Popeye fashion, his props included a KISS face mask and guitar.

From the opening bell, Rivera’s illusiveness & lateral movements were too much to handle for his opponent. Popeye’s versatility, skillful breakdown, and overwhelming pressure, got him the 2nd Rd. KO in dominating fashion.

Saturday’s win gets Richard Rivera one step closer towards a World Title bout, as he continues to climb the Top 10 Ranks in all the major organizations.

The exciting event Saturday night was co-promoted by Rivera Promotions Entertainment in association with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing.
