Ramon Cardenas stopped previously undefeated Rafael Pedroza in round two of their 10-round syper bantamweight bout at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas.

In round two, Cardenas dropped Pedroza with a left hook. Seconds later, Cardenas landed a perfect left to the jaw that dropped Pedroza again and the fight was stopped at 1:22.

Cardenas, 121.8 lbs. of San Antonio, Texas is 23-1 with 12 knockouts. Pedroza, 122 lbs. of Panama City, PAN is 15-1.

Mirco Cuello remained undefeated with a 10-round unanimous decision over Rudy Garcia in a featherweight bout.

In round one, Cuello was cut over the right eye. In round two, Garcia was cut over the left eye. In round five, Cuello was credited with a knockdown after landing a shot on the inside.

Cuello, 125.2 lbs. of Arroyo Seco, Santa Fe, ARG won by scores of 99-90 on all cards and is now 12-0. Garcia, 125.3 lbs. of Los Angeles is 13-1-1.

Freudis Rojas remained undefeated with an eight-round unanimous decision over Saul Bustos in a welterweight fight

Rojas landed 150 of 417 punches. Bustos was 54 of 263.

Rojas, 146.8 lbs. of Las Vegas won by scores of 80-72 and 79-73 twice and is now 12-0. Bustos, 146.7 lbs. of Los Angeles is 15-2-1.

On Saturday, October 29, promoter Paco Damian of Paco Presents, in honorary association with Don Chargin Productions, will proudly present “Showdown at Cache Creek,” a five-fight night of world-class boxing at Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brooks, California.

In the night’s main event, local favorite Alan Sanchez (21-5-1, 10 KOs) of Fairfield, California, via Guadalajara, Mexico, will face undefeated Saul “Avatar” Bustos (15-0-1, 8 KOs) of Los Angeles in a 10-round battle for the WBA Fedecentro Welterweight Championship.

A 13-year professional, Sanchez is a former WBC Continental America’s Welterweight Champion. He was last seen in May of 2021, scoring a split eight-round decision over 18-2 Jose Miguel Borrego. The Freddy Roach-trained Bustos is an eight-year pro who, in Sanchez, will be taking on the toughest test of his career. In his last ring appearance, Bustos took an eight-round unanimous decision over Mexican veteran Martin Angel Martinez Perez in February 2022.

In the co-main event, action hero Blake “The Beast” McKernan (13-1, 6 KOs) of Sacramento will take on League City, Texas, slugger Roberto Silva in an eight-round cruiserweight battle with “fight of the night” written all over it. McKernan, an ex-army machine gunner and Iraq veteran, will be looking to bounce back from his only career loss, a multi-weight world champion Badou Jack decision in November 2020.

On the undercard, Fairfield, California’s Ivan Vergara (8-1, 2 KOs) will return from a three-year absence to face undefeated southpaw Juan Pedro Miranda (6-0, 2 KOs) in a six-round featherweight contest, while undefeated lightweight Kevin Montano (3-0, 2 KOs) of Concord, California will take on Corona, California’s also undefeated Kevin Perez (1-0-1).

Opening the action will be former amateur standout Federico Pacheco Jr. making his heavyweight pro debut in four rounds against Josue Vargas (3-3-1, 2 KOs) of Panorama City, California.

CORONA, CA (February 8, 2021) – Due to sickness, welterweight Saul Bustos (13-0-1, 7 KOs) will have to step down from his scheduled 8-round bout with Todd Manuel (18-17, 5 KOs), that was set to be the main event for Thompson Boxing Promotions 3.2.1. Boxing show on Sunday, February 21, 2021.

?A battle of unbeaten middleweights will now serve as the new main event as Richard “Cool Breeze” Brewart Jr. (8-0, 4 KO), will face Nathan Weston (6-0-2, 2 KOs), in a 6-round bout.

Undefeated super bantamweights, Arnold Dinong (7-0, 1 KO) and Katsuma Akitsugi (4-0, 1 KO) will square off in the 6-round co-main event. In the opening 4-round bout, Nelson Oliva of Fontana, CA, will be making his pro debut against Uriel Gonzalez (5-6-1, 5 KOs) in the middleweight division.

“This camp has been different because I am looking to make a statement against another undefeated fighter, and coach Manny has me working on a lot of different aspects of my game. In addition, I’m fine tuning the things I do well. We got great sparring and I’m fully healthy.”

“I am staying extremely focused and despite the COVID-19 pandemic, I fought in February right before all the fights got canceled. A major motivation beyond my family is seeing Arnold Barboza Jr. and how hard he worked during this break. His focus gave me an extra gear and helped me not lose track of my dream of being a world champion. I’m looking forward to being back in the ring.”

“I think Luis Lopez is a good fighter but has struggled against fighters when he stepped up in competition, and those guys are not at my level. I respect Lopez as a fighter and as a man, but when I get in the ring, I will be relentless. I know I am talented, but I want to be viewed for my accomplishments, and this is a major step in that direction. I’ve been working hard during this whole camp to make the boxing world take notice.”

Giovani Santillan took out Wilfredo Buelvas in round two of a scheduled eight-round welterweight bout in the headline bout at the Doubletree in Ontario, California

In round two, Santillan scored a hard knockdown when he landed a big right-left combination. Seconds later, it was another massive right-left combination that sent Buelvas down and out at 2:31.

Santillan, 146.2 lbs of San Diego, California is now 25-0 with 15 knockouts. Buelvas, 147 lbs of Colombia is 20-13.

“In the first round I was trying to get my timing right,” Santillan said. “Thirty seconds into the second round, I knew I had him so I pressed him. After the second knockdown I knew he wasn’t going to get up.”

“I’m punching a lot harder at this weight,” said Santillan, a native of San Diego, Calif. “I felt my punches were a little too wide in that first round so I tried to tighten them up. I felt a lot more comfortable in the second and I was able to time Buelvas and anticipate which way he would be leaning. I saw the opening and I took it.”

Roberto Torres took out Eduardo Leonel Rodriguez in the 1st round of their scheduled eight-round junior welterweight fight.

Torres rocked and dropped Rodriguez with a hard right that was riled a slip. Torres then landed wicked right that was followed by two hard shots, and the bout was stopped at 2:53.

Torres, 136.2 lbs of South Central Los Angeles is 11-0 with nine knockouts. Rodriguez, 137 of Mexico is 8-2-1/

Roberto Meza won an eight-round majority decision over Alberto Torres in a featherweight contest.

Meza, 127 lbs of Temecula, CA won by scores of 78-74 twice and is now 13-2-1. Torres, 124.9 lbs of Sacramento, CA is 11-3-3.

Jose Sanchez stopped Brandon Jimenez in round two of their scheduled six-round featherweight bout.
