ARLINGTON, TEXAS – August 25, 2026 – Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) today announced MVPW-07, a championship supercard with a quadruple world championship event at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, November 8, live on ESPN and the ESPN App, headlined by MVP and Dallas, Texas’ unified super featherweight world champion Alycia “The Bomb” Baumgardner (18-1, 7 KOs), who will step up to 135lbs seeking to become a two-division world champion when she challenges MVP’s newest signee, Turkey’s undefeated IBF lightweight world champion, the “Golden Turkish Warrior” Elif Nur Turhan (14-0, 8 KOs), in a 10-round championship bout with three-minute rounds for the IBF lightweight world title. Baumgardner enters the matchup following a dominant run as unified champion at super featherweight and now takes on one of the most dangerous punchers in women’s boxing in Turhan, who claimed the IBF lightweight world title with a stunning TKO victory over previously unbeaten Brazilian Olympic gold medalist Beatriz Ferreira and enters her third world title defense.

In the co-main event, MVP’s and Ft. Myers, Florida’s reigning WBC featherweight world champion Tiara Brown (21-0, 11 KOs) will make a 10-round defense at 126lbs against MVP’s and Catford, London, England’s former undisputed champion Ellie Scotney (12-0), who steps up to 126lbs seeking to become a two-division world champion. Turhan and Baumgardner and Brown and Scotney will come face-to-face for the first time at the official MVPW-07 kickoff press conference on Thursday, August 27 at 3pm BST / 10am ET at bp pulse LIVE arena in Birmingham, England ahead of the MVPW-06 final fight week press conference.

Also joining the main card, MVP’s and Australia’s reigning WBC super bantamweight world champion at 122lbs, two-division champion, and 2020 Olympian Skye Nicolson (16-1, 3 KOs) will make her highly anticipated MVP debut in a 10-round title defense against Japan’s three-time, two-division world champion Miyo Yoshida (19-5, 1 KO).

Having to withdraw due to injury was incredibly frustrating, especially after everything that went into preparing for this fight, but unfortunately these things happen in elite sport. Rounding out the quadruple world championship main card, MVP’s multi-talented Somali-British boxer, activist, and high-fashion model Ramla Ali (11-2, 3 KOs) will face New York’s undefeated Mikiah Kreps (11-0, 3 KOs) in a 10-round championship bout for the vacant WBO and IBF super bantamweight world titles at 122lbs.

Nicolson last week was announced as the first fighter to sign with MVP under the promotions’ landmark strategic alliance with Matchroom Boxing focused on accelerating the global growth of women’s boxing. MVP also announced two additional updates to the card, including that  MVP’s and Luton, Bedfordshire’s Commonwealth, BBBofC, and WBO International titlist Tysie Gallagher (10-2) will now appear on the main card against a to-be-named opponent in an 8-round super bantamweight bout at 122lbs. Joining the undercard will be India’s #1 boxer, MVP’s Neeraj Goyat (20-4-2, 9 KOs) vs. Germany’s Yessin Koulai (8-1, 3 KOs) in a 6-round super lightweight bout.

Since turning professional, Gallagher became the first-ever female British super bantamweight champion while also capturing the Commonwealth and WBO International titles at 122lbs. In November 2023, she challenged Segolene Lefebvre for the WBO world title in just her eighth pro fight. Neeraj Goyat, born in Begampur, Karnal, Haryana, India, began his amateur boxing career in 2006 while attending the Army Sports Institute and quickly began his rise to the top, winning gold in 2008 in the Youth National Tournament. Goyat is a three-time WBC Asia title holder in 2015, 2016, and 2017, was named “Honorary Boxer of the Year” in 2017 by WBC Asia, and was the first Indian boxer ever to make the WBC World Rankings. Goyat was hurt in a car accident in 2019, which postponed a mega fight in the works against Amir Khan, but has since resumed fighting and continues his hunt for greatness. Miyo Yoshida is a three-time, two-division world champion from Kagoshima, Japan. Skye Nicolson retained the WBC Interim Super Bantamweight title with a 10-round unanimous decision over Mariah Turner in Melbourne, Austrailia.

In round 10, Turner was docked a point for use of the head.

Nicolson, 121.9 lbs of Queensland, AUS won by scores of 100-89 on all cards and is now 16-1. Turner, 122 lbs of South Auckland, NZ is 12-2.

Teremoana Teremoana scored a vicious first round stoppage over Bowie Topou in an eight-round heavyweight bout.

In round one, Teremoana landed several hard shots and then landed an uppercut that made the eyes of Topou roll upwards and he plummeted on the ropes and the fight was stopped at 1:14.

Teremoana, 266.98 lbs is 11-0 with 11 knockouts. Topou, 287.04 lbs of Tonga, is 29-8.

Benjamin Hussain won a 10-round split decision over Andrew Hunt in a super welterweight bout,

In round two, Hunt dropped Hussain with a straight left

In round nine, Hussain was bleeding around the left eye.

Hussain won two cards 95-94 and Hunt won a card 95-94.

Hussain, 153.8 lbs of Brisbane, AUS is 14-2 Hunt, 152.8 lbs of Auckland, NZ is 11-1-1.

Jesse Bolt scored a scary second round stoppage of Faavesi Isaako in a six-round lightweight bout.

In round two, Bolt landed a vicious left to the chin that Isaako somehow stayed on his feet, but left him open for three more just as crushing shots before falling to the canvas at 35 seconds.

Bolt, 134 lbs of Melbourne, AUS is 4-0 with four knockouts, Isaako, 133.7 lbs is 3-6.

Skye Nicolson has warned rival Mariah Turner that she is “hitting her peak” and has her sights set on a huge year ahead as she prepares to headline for the first time in a homecoming Down Under this Wednesday – live on Kayo SPORTS in Australia and DAZN worldwide.

And former Featherweight Nicolson says she is relishing the opportunity to main event for the first time in her illustrious career, determined to put on a display worthy enough to inspire the next generation.

“It has been a whirlwind few years,” said Nicolson.

“It’s so special to be back home and headlining in Australia. It kind of felt like it was never going to happen. So to be back here, headlining on Fox Sports and DAZN is incredibly empowering for me.

Nicolson knows that Turner will be doing everything she can to try and cause a major upset on Wednesday – but has warned that she is feeling unstoppable and ready to enter an exciting chapter in her career,.

“I’m really looking forward to what promises to be a busy 2026,” said Teremoana Teremoana, as he awaits news on his homecoming opponent on April 29. 

“This new broadcast deal Matchroom Boxing has in Australia should be a great opportunity for me to fight in front of my supporters at home and I’m excited to continue on my journey to the World Heavyweight title.”

Jake Wyllie (18-2-1, 16 KOs), speaking at Fortitude Boxing’s base in Brisbane, is determined to bounce back from his split decision draw with Paul Fleming last December and reignite his charge up the Super Lightweight rankings when he faces veteran Balla (17-3-0, 7 KOs) next month.

“My full focus is on April 29 and getting the job done against Ibrahim Balla,” said Wyllie.

“I want the big fights and this is a massive stepping stone towards that. I will do my best to perform well and go down to his backyard and upset the apple cart. I’ll be coming in red hot for this one and I am really looking forward to it.”

Jack Catterall won a technical unanimous decision over Harlem Eubank in a scheduled 12-round welterweight bout at the AO Arena in Manchester, England.

In round six, Catterall was cut badly over his right eye from an accidental headbutt. Eubank was cut over his right eye and he was deemed unable to continue after the round. The fight was stopped one second into round seven.

Catterall, 146.5 lbs of Chorley, ENG won by scores of 69-65 and 69-66 twice and is now 31-2. Eubank, 146.5 lbs of Brighton, ENG is 21-1.

Cordina Decisions Gonzalez Quiros

Former world champion Joe Cordina won a 10-round unanimous decision over Jaret Gonzalez Quiros in a lightweight bout.

Cordina, 134.7 lbs of Cardiff, WAL won by scores of 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92 and is now 18-1. Quiros, 133.6 lbs of Monterrey, MEX is 17-2.

Fiaz Decisions Murphy

Aqib Fiaz won a 10-round unanimous decision over Alex Murphy in a lightweight bout.

Fiaz, 133.4 lbs of Oldham, ENG won by scores of 97-93,96-94 and 96-95 and is now 14-1. Murphy, 136 lbs of Salford, ENG is 13-2.

Brown Dismantles Oakford in 1

Pat Brown annihilated Lewis Oakford in the opening round if their eight round cruiserweight bout.

Brown jumped on Oakford and landed a heavy barrage of punches on Oakford who had no answer for and the bout was stopped at 2:06/

Brown of Manchester is 3-0 with three knockouts. Oakford of Wycomnbe, ENG is 6-3/

Atang Scores 1st Round Stoppage in Debut

Leo Atang made a successful pro debut with an opening round stoppage over Milen Paunov in a four-round heavyweight bout.

In round one, Atang was all over Paunov and then landed a crushing left to the body for a knockdown. Atang continued to pound on the body of Paunov and the fight was stopped at 2:29.

Atang, 18 years old of York, ENG is 1-0 with one knockout. Paunov, 248.7 lbs of Burgas, BUL is 7-16.

Frazer Wilkinson shocked previously undefeated William Crolla in round six of their eight-round junior middleweight bout.

In round two, Wilkinson began to bleed from his nose. In round six, Wilkinson landed a straight left that hurt and backed Crolla to the ropes. Wilkinson followed up with six unanswered punch that forced a referee stoppage at 1:07.

Wilkinson, 154.8 lbs of Monterrey, SCO is 12-2 with three knockouts. Crolla, 155.7 lbs of Manchester is 8-1.

In round five Crolla are a big left hand that rocked him. Wilkinson followed up with a flurry that dropped Crolla.

Alfie Middlemiss won a four-round decision over Mohammad Wako in featherweight contest.

Middlemiss was cut above the left eye in the opening minute of the fight.

Middlemiss, 127,3 lbs of Manchester won by a 40-36 score and is now 4-0. Wako, 127.4 lbs of York, ENG is 1-6.

Former world champion Skye Nicolson stopped Carla Gonzalez in round two of their eight-round super bantamweight bout.

In round two, Nicolson hurt Gonzalez with a straight left and followed up with a four-punch combination that forced a referee stoppage 1:21.

Nicolson, 123.9 lbs of Brisbane, AUS is 13-1 with two knockouts. Gonzalez, 122.7 lbs of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, BOL is 9-4.

Niall Brown stopped Victor Ionascu after round four of their six-round super middleweight fight.

In round one, Brown dropped Ionascu with a left hook;

In round four, Brown dropped Ionascu with a left hook that was followed by a left hook. Ionascu continued to take a lot of punishment, but was able to make it out of the round. After the round the corer stopped the fight.

Brown, 171.4 lbs of Stockport, ENG is now 16-0 with six knockouts. Ionascu, 168.6 lbs of Frankfurt, GER is 14-7.

WBC World Featherweight queen Skye Nicolson (12-0, 1 KO), meanwhile, continues her quest to become ‘Future Undisputed’ – but must take care of undefeated, mandatory American rival, Overtime Boxing’s Tiara Brown (18-0, 11 KOs).

Defending her championship for the first time in her native Australia, Nicolson made history last October when she was the first female fighter to successfully retain her title in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during the Riyadh Season curtain-raiser, when the Southpaw outclassed Raven Chapman to extend her flawless record.

 “This is my homecoming as World Champion – a moment I have dreamed of and manifested: Bringing big world title action Down Under,” said Nicolson.

“Australian boxing is entering a golden era, and this is the time to get excited and be part of the journey. I’m taking on an undefeated and dangerous challenger with the support of the nation behind me.

Another long-standing rivalry will be settled in Sydney as Cherneka Johnson defends her WBA World Bantamweight title in a rematch against Nina Hughes, after their first fight was marred in controversy last May.

Britain’s Hughes (6-1-0, 2 KOs) will be hungry for retribution after she was initially declared as the winner before the ring announcer corrected himself by revealing Johnson (16-2-0, 6 KOs) as the victor by majority decision to become a two-weight World Champion.

“I’m looking forward to getting back in the ring on another awesome show here in Australia,” said WBA World Bantamweight Champion Cherneka Johnson.

“I have no doubt in my mind that it’s going to be a career-best dominating performance.”

World Title Challenger, Nina Hughes added: “First and foremost, I have a lot of respect for Cherneka Johnson as an athlete – she’s a tough competitor. But this time around, I’m not leaving anything to chance or in the judges’ hands. I’ve trained harder, I’m sharper, and I’m ready to leave no doubt when I step in that ring.” 

Rising Heavyweight sensation Teremoana Teremoana, meanwhile, is looking forward to adding more valuable experience as he plots his path to becoming a future World Champion in the sport.

 “I’m excited to be back in action and heading to Sydney for another huge night for Australian boxing,” said Teremoana Teremoana.

“It’s another step on the ladder for me to get to the very top and I won’t be happy until I get there. People keep asking me if I want to get more rounds in and of course I’m ready for that and looking forward to it when it comes but if I can get someone out of there in 10 seconds, I will do it.

PHILADELPHIA-–Jaron “Boots” Ennis made a happy homecoming as he stopped gritty David Avanesyan after round five to retain the IBF Welterweight title before a very impressive crowd of 14,119 fans at Wells Fargo Center.

Ennis showed off his immense natural ability by landing some swift and powerful combinations. Ennis landed some serious body shots and slowly started to break down Avanestyan. Avanesyan touched up Ennis by landing some shots as he stood in the pocket against the undefeated champion.

In round five, Avanesyan was having his best round UNTIL, a right hook caught the challenger on the side of the head and the Armenian was sent to the canvas. Ennis continued to land hard combinations and battered Avanesyan at the end of the frame.

In the corner, it was determined that Avanesyan had suffered enough of a beating and the fight was halted.

Ennis, 146.4 lbs is 32-0 with 28 knockouts. Avanesyan, 147 lbs of Newark, ENG is 30-5-1.

Jalil Hackett Decisions Peter Dobson

Jalil Hackett remained undefeated with a 10-round unanimous decision over Peter Dobson in a welterweight clash.

Dobson controlled the action as he landed some solid combinations. Dobson stood in tough and was able to make the fight closer down the stretch as it was too little. too late as Hackett won by scores of 97-93 twice and 96-94.

Hackett landed 200 of 700 punches. Dobson was 127 of 447.

Hackett, 146.4 lbs of Washington, DC is 9-0. Dobson, 146.6 lbs of Bronx, NY is 16-2.

Skye Nicolson Retains Featherweight Title with Decision over Vargas

Skye Nicolson retained the WBC Featherweight title as she boxed her way to an easy 10-round unanimous decision over Dyana Vargas.

Nicolson boxed and moved perfectly as she opened the fight up by featuring a stiff jab. In the middle rounds Nicolson started landing at will with her straight left. Nicolson was very crafty with her feet as she was always a couple of steps ahead both offensively and defensively for Vargas.

Nicolson landed 135 of 329 punches. Vargas was 28 if 248.

Nicolson, 125.6 lbs of Queensland, AUS won by scores of 100-90 on all cards and is now 11-0. Vargas, 125.6 lbs of The Dominican Republic is 19-2.

Khalil Coe Stops Ritter in 2

Khalil Coe remained undefeated with a two round destruction of Kwame Ritter in their 10-round light heavyweight bout.

In round two, Coe hurt Ritter with a hard left hook. Coe followed the up and landed huge left hook that put Ritter on the canvas. Ritter was hurt and Coe pounced on him by landing hard shots until a right hand knocked Ritter along the ropes and the fight was stopped at 1:59.

Coe, 174 lbs of Jersey City, NJ is 9-0-1 with seven knockouts. Ritter, 173 lb of Baltimore is 11-2.

Christopher Diaz stopped Derlyn Hernandez in round two of their eight-round super featherweight bout.

Diaz, 131.4 lbs of Puerto Rico is 29-4 with 19 knockouts. Hernandez, 131.4 lbs of the Dominican Republic is 12-2-1.

Christian Carto stopped former world title challenger Carlos Buitragp after round three of their eight-round super bantamweight bout.

In round three, Carto scored a knockdown when he landed a right in the corner.. Carto continued to pound away on Buitragp. The corner pulled Buitago out of the fight following the round.

Carto, 124.4 lbs of Philadelphia is 24-1 with 16 knockouts. Buitrago, 125.8 lbs of Managua, NIC is 38-14-1.

Ismail Muhammad staved off an early knockdown and scored one of his own as he won a six-round unanimous decision over Frank Brown in a super lightweight bout.

In round one, Muhammad walked into a perfect right from Brown that put him on the canvas. Later in the round, Brown was cut over his right eye that may have come from a clash of heads during the knockdown punch.

In round four, Muhammad dropped Brown with a right to the top of the head.

Muhammad, 144 lbs of Philadelphia won on two cards by 58-54 scores and 57-55 and is now 5-0. Brown, 144.2 lbs of San Antonio is 3-5-2.

Dennis Thompson made a successful pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Fernando Valdez in a bantamweight bout.

Thompson, 116.6 lbs of of Philadelphia battered Valdes and won by scores of 40-36 on all cards and is now 1-0. Valdes, 119.2 lbs of Salta, ARG is 1-8.

Hackett (8-0 7 KOs) penned a multi-fight promotional deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom at the end of May, and his first actin with his new promoter pitches him in deep waters in just his ninth pro fight and meets Dobson over ten rounds for the WBA Continental North America Welterweight title.

Dobson (16-1 9 KOs) enters the fight having taken British star Conor Benn the distance in Las Vegas in February, and the New Yorker will be looking to bounce back from his first defeat by halting the progress of the hotly-tipped 21 year old tyro.

“I’m so happy to kick off my deal with Matchroom with such a big fight,” said Hackett. “Eddie and Matchroom have a plan for my development that I’m really excited by and that starts on July 13 against Dobson. He took Conor Benn the distance in a good fight, but I’m going to prove that I am ready for this step-up and much more.

Nicolson (10-0 1 KO) won her WBC crown at a canter in her first World title fight in February in Las Vegas, pitching a shut-out on two of the cards over Dane Sarah Mahfoud. For her first defense, the Australian fights in the States for the fifth time in the paid ranks and puts her belt on the line againstVargas(18-1 12 KOs), the Dominican who fights outside her homeland for the first time and in her maiden World title tilt.

Khalil Coe will make the short journey from New Jersey to Philadelphia to fight for his first title, as he meets Manuel Gallegos over ten rounds for the USWBC Light-Heavyweight strap. Coe (8-0-1 6 KOs) has looked ferocious in his recent fights, ending his last four outings inside the distance, and will look to pick up his first belt against Mexican Gallegos (20-2-1 17 KOs) who moves up to 175lbs after taking on Super-Middleweight sensation Diego Pacheco last time out in Los Angeles in July.

“I am excited to be back in a big step-up fight against Gallegos on the ‘Boots’ Ennis undercard,” said Coe. “Philadelphia will almost be like hometown fight for me. It’s right down the turnpike so I expect a lot of my fans to show up and watch me dominate again and I’m looking for a highlight reel knockout.

An all-Puerto Rican affair is also announced today for the WBA Continental Latin America Super-Featherweight title between Henry Lebron and Christopher Diaz. Lebron (19-0 10 KOs) has signed a promotional deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom and will look to claim his first title against two-time World title challenger Diaz (28-4 18 KOs).

Nicolson (9-0 1 KO) has already won honors for her country in the amateurs, with Commonwealth gold placed around her neck at her home games in 2018, and in her tenth pro fight, Nicolson can add a World title strap to her collection if she can see off former World ruler Mahfoud (14-1 3 KOs)

The 28 year old’s title tilt comes off the back of a chastening weekend in America for Australian fighters in World title bouts, with Tim Tszyu surrendering his crown in a bloody battle against Sebastian Fundora in Vegas, and Michael Zerafa and Liam Wilson getting stopped in their fights against Erislandy Lara and Oscar Valdez.

Nicolson has grand designs on landing one of the biggest fights out there against Amanda Serrano, and knows that beating the Dane to win her first World title would bring the fight closer to reality, and would provide a huge shot in the arm for the sport in her beloved home land.

Nicolson (9-0 1 KO) lands her first World title shot in Sin City, just over two years since making her professional debut in San Diego. The Australian has raced to #1 in the WBC rankings at 126lbs, and landed her first KO win in her last outing, stopping Lucy Wildheart in Dublin in November in the first defense of the interim title the 28 year old won in Mexico in September against Sabrina Perez.

Mahfoud (14-1 3 KOs) is looking to spoil the party and in turn become a two-time ruler at Featherweight. The Dane held the IBF title after being elevated from interim champion, and successfully defended it against Nina Meinke in April 2022, before losing to Amanda Serrano in Manchester, England in September 2022. The 34 year old is on a three-fight winning streak on home turf since that loss, picking up the WBC Silver title in March 2023 and successfully defending it in October, with an eight-round win in between.

“This means everything to me,” said Nicolson. “To fight for my first World title in the iconic boxing city of Las Vegas is truly special. It will be a proud moment for my family and my team – and on April 6, my lifelong dream of becoming a World Champion will finally become a reality.

Two more fights added to the card are led by Briton’s Olympic gold medal man Galal Yafai defending his WBC International Flyweight title against Agustin Mauro.

Yafai (6-0 4 KOs) is hunting the World champions at the weight, and the 2020 games king is sitting pretty in the rankings, most pertinently at #6 with the WBC as he defends the belt he won on debut in February 2022 for the fifth time in Las Vegas. The 31 year old will be looking to put the belt holders on notice on April 6, but that’s exactly what Mauro (21-1 15 KOs) is looking to do too. The Argentine has won three of his last four fights inside the distance, and the 26 year old is planning to derail Yafai’s journey to a World title.

“It’s great to be fighting in Las Vegas for the first time in my career, which is something all Brits dream of,” said Yafai. “I know that Agustin is confident and that’s perfect for me, I want someone that believes they can win, as that will bring the best out of me.

“I like my positioning in the rankings, and I really think that 2024 is the year that I can get my shot at a World title.”

“I’m really excited about this opportunity,” said Mauro. “I’m going to destroy Galal Yafai. This is my time. I’d like to thank Matchroom Boxing for giving me such a huge opportunity for my career. I’ve been working extremely hard alongside my trainer, Rodrigo Calabrese, to get a great victory in the United States.

“We’ve been studying Galal. He is a great boxer, but I have what it takes to win the WBC International title on April 6. This will be my first time in Las Vegas. I always dreamed about fighting in this great city and I’m not going to waste my opportunity.

“I want to make history for Argentinean boxing, and this is a great opportunity to do just that. The fight comes at a great time in my career. I’ve had 22 professional fights. The last one was in Argentina in January, and I again displayed my knockout power. This is what I want to show in Las Vegas. On April 6, the boxing world will know who ‘Avión’ Gauto is.”

The third fight added to the bill sees Marc Castro fight over ten rounds for the second time, as he meets Abraham Montoya at Super-Featherweight. Castro (11-0 8 KOs) boxed over the ten round distance for the first time in November in Los Angeles, but only needed seven of them to record an eighth win inside the distance. Montoya (22-5-1 14 KOs) is a vastly experienced operator, with 99 more rounds in the bank than his young foe, and the 29 year old Mexican will provide the toughest test to date for the Fresno talent.

Nicolson, Yafai and Castro are part of a big night of action in Las Vegas, topped by a double-header featuring two of Matchroom’s brightest stars. Richardson Hitchins (17-0 7 KOs) tops the bill as he takes on Gustavo Lemos (29-0 19 KOs) in a final elimination for the IBF World Super-Lightweight title, while Diego Pacheco (20-0 17 KOs) continues his assault on the Super-Middleweight division as he defends his WBC USA and WBO International titles against Shawn McCalman (15-0 7 KOs).

Featherweight star Skye Nicolson is confident of landing her dream World Title shot on home soil in Australia this year. 

The Interim WBC World Champion had been calling for a shot at multi-weight icon Amanda Serrano but will now face Denmark’s Sarah Mahfoud for the full World Title after the Puerto Rican vacated her title last month.

The Commonwealth Gold medallist and Olympian, who is undefeated in nine fights since joining the professional ranks in March 2022, enjoyed a breakout 2023, securing four big wins from four fights in New York, Cardiff, Tijuana and Dublin. 

Nicolson kicked off 2023 by outpointing Spain’s Tania Alvarez at the Madison Square Garden Theater to land the WBC Silver Featherweight Title before decisioning Peru’s Linda Laura Lecca in her second fight at the Cardiff International Arena.

The slick southpaw captured the Interim Featherweight World Title against Argentina’s Maribel Perez in Mexico and ended the year in style by earning her first stoppage win against Sweden’s Lucy Wildheart on the blockbuster Cameron vs. Taylor 2 card in Ireland. 

28-year-old Nicolson has paved the way for female boxing in Australia, and speaking at a media day in Brisbane today the former amateur sensation admitted that it would be a dream come true to capture a full World Title in front of her family and friends down under.  

“I think Matchroom are trying really hard to get the fight in Australia, hopefully in Brisbane, which would be a dream come true for my first World Title,” said Nicolson. “I’m really excited to win that first World Title and bring it home to Australia. Matchroom, right now, are trying to focus on a date in April.

“I think a lot of people thought my last fight was going to be a tough test for me but I know what I’m capable of. I didn’t overlook Lucy Wildheart but I knew that fight was going to be a big statement. I’ve said from day one, the better the opponent, the better the Skye Nicolson you’ll see on the night.

“I know Mahfoud won three rounds against Serrano just over a year ago. She won’t win three rounds against me. That was the same against Wildheart, she won three rounds against Mikaela Meyer. She wasn’t winning three rounds against me, never, it wasn’t even going to be close. I feel very confident, I know she’s a good boxer but that works in my favour, I like fighting good boxers.”

Katie Taylor avenged her first professional defeat to win a majority decision over Chantelle Cameron to win the Undisputed Junior Welterweight Title in front of a raucous crowd at 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland

It was an action packed fight with Taylor landing the crisper combinations that had the crowd on their feet throughout the “Fight of They Year” Candidate. Cameron was courageous in defeat as she fought through a bad cut on her forehead that started in the second round.

Taylor, 139.6 lbs of Bray, Ireland won by scores of 98-92, 96-94 and 95-95 and is now 23-1. Cameron, 139.5 lbs of Northampton, ENG is 18-1.

Cully Edges By Mould Via Split Decision

Gary Cully came back from his first professional defeat by winning a 10-round split decision over Reece Mould in a lightweight bout.

Cully, 134.5 lbs of Naas, IRE won by scores of 97-93, 96-93 and Cully won a scorecard by a 97-93 total.

Cully landed 77 of 305 punches. Mould landed 92 of 261.

Cully is now 17-1. Mould, 134.1 lbs of Dorncaster, ENG is 18-2.

Donovan Stops Ball in Four

Paddy Donovan remained undefeated by stopping Danny Ball in round four of their 10-round welterweight fight.

In round four, Donovan dropped Ball with a hard left hand. Donovan then unloaded on Ball and dropped him again with a hard flurry of punches. The corner of Ball threw in the towel at 2:41.

Donovan, 146.5 lbs of Limerick, ENG is 12-0 with nine knockouts. Ball, 146.7 lbs of Kingswingford, ENG is 13-2-1.

Carty Stops Garber in 8th and Final Round

Popular heavyweight Thomas Carty stopped Dan Garber in the final minute of the eighth and final round.

Carty beat Garber down and in round eight, landed a hard left to the body that took the starch out of Garber and then dropped him after a few follow up punches at 2:19.

Georgio Visioli made a spectacular pro debut with a first-round stoppage over Lee Anthony Sibley in a super featherweight bout.

Visioli landed a perfect left hook that put Sibley on the canvas. Sibley got to his feet, but the fight was stopped at 1:21.

Dublin, Ireland – 24 November 2023 – The WBC Interim World Featherweight Title Challenger Lucy Wildheart hit 125.35lb at today’s official weigh in held at the Helix, Dublin, ahead of her fight with Skye Nicolson tomorrow night.

Swedish star Wildheart (10-2-0, 4 KO’s) faces the unbeaten champion Nicholson at the 3Arena on Matchroom Boxing’s blockbuster show headlined by the big rematch between Katie Taylor and Chantelle Cameron.

Australia’s Nicolson (8-0-0) weighed in at 125.15lb as she puts her title on the line for the first time since winning the belt against Sabrina Perez in September.

Wildheart, who now resides in Chelmsford, Essex, has had a perfect camp with Trainer, Sam Mullins at Churchills Gym and is in prime condition to tackle Nicolson and relieve her of the crown on Saturday night.

Chelmsford, England – 18 October 2023 – Former World title challenger Lucy Wildheart makes her long awaited return to the ring and it’s straight back into World title action when she challenges the WBC Interim World Featherweight Champion Skye Nicolson.

Wildheart (10-2, 4 KO’s) will face unbeaten Australian star Nicolson (8-0) on the undercard of Matchroom Boxing’s blockbuster show on Saturday 25th November at the 3Arena in Dublin, headlined by the rematch between Katie Taylor and Chantelle Cameron.

The 30-year-old from Växjö, Sweden, now based out of Chelmsford, Essex, is World rated #3 by the WBC and has been targeting a showdown with the newly crowed Champion Nicholson, who won the title by beating Sabrina Perez on points in Tijuana, Mexico, last month.

In April this year Wildheart accepted without hesitation a late minute call to face the American star Mikael Mayer for the Vacant WBC Interim World Lightweight Championship when Mayers’s original opponent Christina Linardatou was not cleared by the BBBofC.

At just 48 hours notice at the Copper Box Arena in London and two weight divisions above her natural featherweight class, Wildheart put on a valiant performance and extended the bigger and heavier punching Mayer the full ten round distance to only lose on the judges scorecards.

Number-one ranked Liam Paro solidified his spot with a one-punch knockout of fellow undefeated Brock Jarvis in the opening round of their 12-round bout in Brisbane, Australia.

In round one, Paro landed a perfect left hand that put Jarvis flat on his back and he could not get up, and the fight was over at 2:29.

World-ranked heavyweight Demsey McKean stopped Patrick Korte in round three of their 10-round heavyweight bout.

In round one, Korte was cut over his right eye. In round four, McKean dumped Korte on the canvas with a left uppercut that was followed by a left and a right to the chin and the fight was over at 2:59.

Syke Nicolson won a 10-round unanimous decision over Krystyna Jacobs in a featherweight bout.

In round four, Nicolson dropped Jacobs with a right hook.

Cesar Mateo Tapia scored a 10-round unanimous decision over Abdouleye Sakho in a battle of undefeated super middleweights.

Tapia, 167.2 lb won by scores of 99-91 and 97-93 twice and is now 15-0. Sakho, 167.4 lbs is 7-1.

Rocky Ogden stopped Ben Cameron Hands in the opening round of their eight-round super featherweight bout.

In the opening frame, Ogden landed a hard right to the head that sent Hands to the canvas and the bout was stopped at 2:33.

Jalen Tait stopped Rhys Evans after round six of their eight-round lightweight bout.

In round five, Tait dropped Evans with a body shot. In round six, Evans was cut over his left eye. The doctor took a look at the cut and the bout was stopped.

Tait, 134 lbs of Townsville, AUS is 10-0 with six knockouts. Evans, 134.1 lbs was making his pro debut.

Dylan Biggs remained undefeated with an eight-round unanimous decision over Marko Pizzi in a junior middleweight fight.

Biggs, 153 lbs of Queensland, AUS won by scores of 80-72 twice and 78-74 and is now 7-0. Pizzi, 153.4 lbs of Sydney, AUS is 4-3.

Joe Cordina thrilled his hometown fans by violently knocking out Kenichi Ogawa in round two to win the IBF Junior Lightweight title at The Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales.

In Round two, Cordina landed a perfect right to the jaw that splattered Ogawa on the canvas, and the fight was stopped.

Barrett Decisions Kourbanov

Zelfa Barrett won a 12-round unanimous decision over Faroukh Kourbanov in a junior lightweight bout.

Dalton Smith stops Perouene after six

Dalton Smith remained undefeated by stopping Mauro Peroune after round six of their 10-round super lightweight fight.

In round six, Smith dropped Perouene with a right hand. After round six, the fight was stopped.

Gamal Yafai stopped Sean Cairns in round four of their eight-round super bantamweight fight.

In round four, Yafai dropped Cairns with a hard left hook to the jaw and the bout was stopped at 1:55.
