MVP SIGNS UNDEFEATED WBA LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION STEPHANIE HAN
NEW YORK, NY – June 16, 2025 – Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) today announced the signing of undefeated WBA lightweight champion Stephanie Han (10-0, 3 KOs). A decorated police officer in El Paso,Texas by day, a devoted mother—caring for a daughter with a rare genetic disorder—at all hours, and a former beauty pageant contestant turned world champion boxer, Han’s journey is a testament to perseverance, power, and purpose. Her addition to MVP’s star-studded roster reaffirms the promotion’s mission to champion the most inspiring and elite female athletes in boxing and amplify their stories on the global stage.
A proud Korean-American and El Paso, Texas native, Stephanie Han has elevated her boxing career to new heights while juggling the roles of devoted mother of two, including her special needs daughter with Nicolaides-Baraitser Syndrome, serving as an eight-year veteran of the El Paso Police Department, and beauty pageant competitor for Miss Sun City and Miss Texas. She launched her amateur boxing journey in July 2006, compiling a winning record before stepping away from the sport in April 2011. A decade later, she returned to boxing after helping her sister, former IBF featherweight world champion Jennifer Han, train to take on Katie Taylor. She made a powerful return to the ring in October 2021 with a unanimous decision win over Isabel Garcia. Remaining undefeated, Han quickly rose through the ranks, most recently delivering a dominant knockout victory over Hannah Terlep to claim the vacant WBA lightweight world title. Han joins Most Valuable Promotions following her recent faceoff against IBF lightweight champion Beatriz “The Beast” Ferreira at MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 13 Championship Edition on Saturday, June 7 as the pair verbally agreed to a high-stakes unification bout in the future. As she continues her career under the MVP banner, Han is poised to defend her title and further establish herself as one of the premier forces in women’s lightweight boxing.
“Signing with Most Valuable Promotions is a dream realized! I’m honored to join a team that’s not just shaping the future of women’s boxing, but fighting for it,” said Stephanie Han. “With MVP behind me, I’m more ready than ever to rise, represent, and make history.”
“In addition to being an undefeated world champion, Stephanie Han is a powerful role model who proves that with hard work, resilience, and heart, anything is possible,” said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. “From serving her community as a police officer to raising awareness for her daughter and NCBRS, to competing in beauty pageants—all while dominating in the ring, Stephanie exemplifies excellence across every arena.
