Robbie Lawler retained the UFC Welterweight title with a 5-round split decision over Carlos Condit in a war at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Condit controlled most of the fight by mixing up his kicks and punches that kept Lawler at the end of his strikes. Lawler dropped Condit in round two from an inside right hand. Condit was able to sustain his activity level in round four. In round five, the two stood toe to toe and landed bombs on each other, with Condit mixing in a kick. Lawler was able to rock Condit in the last two minutes of the fight as he opened up a cut over Condit’s right eye.

Lawler won on two cards by scores of 48-47 while Condit took a card 48-47.

Lawler is now 27-10. Condit falls to 30-9.

Stipe Miocic punched his ticket to a potential heavyweight title shot by destroying former champion Andrei Arlovski at 54 seconds of the 1st round.

Miocic landed a right that staggered Arlovski and a follow up right crumpled the former champ to the canvas. Miocic jumped on his prey and landed several more shots before the fight was stopped.

Miocic is 14-2. Arlovski is 25-11-1.

Albert Tumenov won a 3 round split decision over Lorenz Larkin in welterweight bout.

Tumenov won two cards by 29-28 tallies. Larkin took a card 29-28.

Tumenov is 17-2. Larkin is 16-5-1.

Brian Ortega choked out Diego Brandao at 1:37 of round three in their featherweight bout.

Ortega is 10-0-1. Beandao is 20-11.

Abel Trujillo scored a 1st round chokeout over Tony Sims in a lightweight bout.

The time of the Guillotine choke was 2:37 of round one for Trujillo who is now 13-7-1. Sims is 12-4

Alex Morano won a 3-round split decision over Kyle Noke in a Welterweight bout.

Scores were 29-28 twice for Morano and 30-27 for Noke.

Michael Macdonald choked out Mansanori Kanehana in the 2nd round of their Featherweight bout.

Macdonald is 17-3. Kanehana is 25-13-5

Justine Kish remained undefeated with a 3-round unanimous decision over Nina Ansaroff in a Strawweight bout.

Drew Dpber won a 3-round unanimous decision over Scott Hotzman in a Lightweight fight.

Rafael Dos Anjos retained the UFC Lightweight title with a 1st round destruction over Donald Cerrone at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

Dos Anjos landed a left kick to the body that hurt Dos Anjos and he unloaded a barrage of punches on Cerrone against the Octagon.  Cerrone got to the ground but he absorbed a few more hard shots and the fight was stopped by referee Herb Dean at 1:06.

Dos Anjos, 154 lbs of Rio De Jineario, BRA is 25-7.  Cerrone, 154 1/2 lbs of Albuquerque, NM is 28-7-1.

Alistair Overeem scored an explosive 2nd round stoppage over former Heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos.

Dos Santos was bleeding from around his right eye and chin in the second frame.  Overeem landed a perfect left hook that dropped Dos Santos and the fight was quickly stopped at 4:43 of round two.

Nate Diaz won a 3-round unanimous decision over Michael Johnson in a Lightweight bout.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz remained undefeated by winning a unanimous decision over Randa Markos in a Strawweight bout.

Charles Oliveira scored a 1st round chokeout over Myles Jury in a Featherweight bout.

Oliveira was able to get a jumping choke on Jury while he was standing and he tapped out at 3:05

Oliveira, 150 1/2 lbs of Houston, TX is 21-5-1.  Jury, 146 lbs of Gilbert, AZ is 15-2.

Oliverira is now tied for the most submission wins.

Nate Marquardt stopped CB Dollaway in the 2nd round of their Middleweight bout.

Marquardt landed a perfect counter right hand while Dollaway was coming in that dropped Dollaway.  Marquardt landed one punch on the ground and the bout was stopped at 28 seconds of round two.

In one of the most anticipated fights in a long time, Conor McGregor stamped his ticket to superstardom with a 1-punch 13 second knockout over long time champion, Jose Aldo to win the UFC Featherweight title at UFC 194.

Aldo leaned in a through a right hand (that connected) but McGregor connected with a thudding left to the jaw that sent Aldo down and out. McGregor landed 2 hammer shots for good measure and the fight was stopped at 13 seconds.

McGregor, 145 lbs of Dublin, IRE is 19-2. Aldo, 145 lbs of Rio De Janeiro, BRA is 25-2.

Luke Rockhold won the UFC Middleweight title with a 4-round beatdown of previously undefeated Chris Weidman.

Rickhold had a good first two rounds as he landed some solid kicks. Weidman was coming on in round three when he attempted an ill advised spinning kick for which Rockhold was able to go behind and get Weidman to the ground. From there, Rockhold pounded away on Weidman, leaving the now former champion a bloody mess and lucky to get out of the round. In round four, Rockhold was able to seize control and get Weidman down again and landed some more punches and elbows and referee Herb Dean waved the fight off at 3:12.

Rockhold, 185 lbs of Santa Cruz, CA is 15-2. Weidman, 185 lbs of Baldwin, NY is 13-1.

Yoel Romero won a split decision over Jacare Souza in a Middleweight bout.

Romero dropped Souza in round one from a perfect spinning back fist. Souza spent the majority of the round on his back eating punches via the Ground & Pound. Souza was able to take Romero down and land some good shots in round three but it wasn’t enough as Romero took cards by 29-27 and 29028 tallies while Souza won a card 29-28.

Damian Maia beat up Gunner Nelson to win a lopsided unanimous decision in a Welterweight bout.

Nelson was hurt in round one and he had a welt under his right eye. Maia continued to pound away on Nelson’s head and bloodied his nose. Maia cruised to the victory of 30-26 and 30-25 twice.

Max Holloway won a three round unanimous decision over Jeremy Stephens in a Featherweight bout.

Urijah Faber won a unanimous decision over Frankie Saenz in a Bantamweight bout.

Frankie Edgar stated his case for a shot at UFC Featherweight champion Connor McGregor by taking out Chad Mendes in 1 round in their scheduled 5-round bout at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Edgar landed a perfect left hook to the jaw that dropped Mendes and the fight was immediately stopped at 2:28 of round one.

Ryan Hall won the Ultimate Fighter 22 Lightweight title with a unanimous decision over Artem Lobev.

Tony Furguson choked out Edson Barboza in the 2nd round of their Lightweight bout.

Both guys were a bloody mess beginning in the opening frame. Furguson took Barboza down and got him in a front choke that made Barboza tap out at 2:54 of round two.

Geanne Herrea scored a second round knockout over Joby Sanchez in a Flyweight bout

Sanchez was cut over the left eye in round two. Later in the round Herrera landed a perfect left hook that sent Sanchez down. Herrera landed five punches while a prone Sanchez was on the ground and the fight was halted at 4:28 of round two.

Chris Gruetzemacher won a three round unanimous decision over Abner Lloveras in a Lightweight bout.

Llovares began to bleed from over his right eye in round two.

TACOMA, Wash. – Yakima’s Julian Erosa, a two-time CageSport Super Fight League America champion, will appear on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)-produced reality television series The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale tonight at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Erosa (14-2) will face Poland’s Marcin Wrzosek (10-2) in a featherweight bout on the undercard.

“It’s been an incredible experience,” the 25-year-old Erosa said about appearing on TUF 22. “Having fought primarily for CageSport and Super Fight League made it an easy transition. I think a lot of fighters coming in to a situation like this could feel overwhelmed by everything, but I really felt prepared for it all.”

The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale — which will air on Fox Sports 1 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT – will be headlined by a featherweight clash between Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes. Artem Lobov and Ryan Hall will meet in the TUF 22 finals.

The official weigh-in for The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale took place on Thursday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Both Erosa and Wrzosek tipped the scales at 155 pounds.

Erosa, who has fought 14 times on a CageSport/Super Fight League event during his professional career, was one of 32 lightweight fighters selected by the UFC to compete in qualifying fights to enter the show. After defeating Jason Soares in the preliminary round, Erosa joined Urijah Faber’s nine-member United States team, which battled current UFC Interim Featherweight champion Conor McGregor’s team of European fighters during the series.

Erosa advanced to the quarterfinals with a majority decision over France’s Mehdi Baghdad then defeated Spain’s Abner Lloveras by split decision to move on to the show’s final four competitors before losing to Lobov in the semifinals.

Starting his professional career with a perfect 9-0 record, Erosa’s first loss came at the hands of former two-division CageSport champion, Drew Brokenshire. Five fights later, Erosa captured the SFL America lightweight championship, defeating Harrison Bevens with a second-round KO on Dec. 13, 2014.

He received his highly-anticipated rematch with Brokenshire on Feb. 21 for the SFL America Featherweight title, this time ending up in the winner’s circle after submitting Brokenshire in the third round.

“The goal for every fighter is to make it to the UFC,” Erosa said. “There’s a lot of talent coming out of the Northwest. The UFC knows this. (Current UFC fighters) Sam Sicilia and Julianna Pena both fought for CageSport before moving on to the UFC. There’s actually been a lot of fighters take that path. I’m determined to be the next on that list.”

Las Vegas, Nevada – UFC® announces tryouts for the upcoming season of its long-running successful reality series, The Ultimate Fighter®, at Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. on Monday, December 14. This season’s tryouts are currently open to both 115- and 135-pound women, as well as 205-pound men, with winning professional records.

This season of The Ultimate Fighter will begin filming in January and is scheduled to premiere on FS1 in April 2016.

Las Vegas – A world title will be on the line in Boston on Sunday, January 17 at TD Garden when UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw seeks to successfully defend his crown for the third time against former WEC® and UFC® bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz. UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: DILLASHAW vs. CRUZ marks the second championship fight to air on FS1.

Continuing with the tradition of bringing great events to Beantown, Dillashaw (13-2, fighting out of Denver, Colo.) looks to prove he is the undisputed champ of the 135-pound division. With three finishes in as many title bouts, Dillashaw has made his way to the No. 5 spot on the pound-for-pound list. Looking to derail Dillashaw’s momentum is former champion and rival Cruz (20-1, fighting out of San Diego, Calif.). The inaugural UFC 135-pound king was forced to vacate the title in 2014 after multiple injuries left him unable to compete. Jake Matthews scored a stoppage after round two in his boiut with Akbarh Arreola in a Lightweight bout.

Arreola’s right eye was badly swollen and face was a bloody mess after being on the receiving end of countless blows in round two and fight was stopped just before the 3rd round commenced.

Matthews, 155 lbs of Eppimg, AUS is 10-1. Arreola, 155 lbs of Tijuana, MX is 23-10-1.

Kyle Noke scored a 1st round stoppage over Peter Sobotta in a Welterweight bout.

Noke landed a kick to the body that sent Sobotta down. Noke jumped on Sobotta and landed a huge flurry of punches on the ground and the fight was stopped at 2:01.

Las Vegas – Two of the most electrifying strikers in the sport will ring in the New Year as welterweight champion Robbie Lawler looks to make a second successful title defense against fourth-ranked Carlos Condit on Saturday, Jan. 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Las Vegas – It’ll be lights out in the Sunshine State when UFC® returns to Amway Center with a lightweight title bout as newly crowned champion Rafael Dos Anjos looks to defend his title for the first time when he meets No. 2 contender Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in a highly-anticipated rematch on Saturday, Dec. 19. In the co-main event, former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos clashes with former STRIKEFORCE® champion Alistair Overeem in a bout that could have major title implications in the wide open division. UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: DOS ANJOS vs. COWBOY 2 will be the second consecutive championship bout to air nationally on FOX and eighth overall.

After putting on one of the best performances of his career against Anthony Pettis at UFC 185, Dos Anjos (24-7, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) captured the 155-pound title, becoming the first Brazilian to hold the UFC lightweight championship. In addition to his impressive wins over former champion Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz, Dos Anjos also handed Cerrone his last loss back in 2013. The Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt will put his title on the line when he and his former foe meet again.

Since dropping a decision loss to the champion, Cowboy (28-6, 1NC, fighting out of Albuquerque, N.M.) went on to dismantle the lightweight division by picking off top contenders in one of the most talent-rich divisions in the sport. Undefeated in his last eight appearances, Cerrone has wins over the likes of Henderson, Eddie Alvarez, Myles Jury, Edson Barboza and Jim Miller. A Muay Thai expert who holds 15 wins by submission and five by knockout, Cowboy has proven he has the heart of a champion and is now looking for the belt to solidify his place atop of the division.

To set the stage, former UFC heavyweight champion Dos Santos (17-3, fighting out of Salvador, Bahai, Brazil) makes his long-awaited return against Overeem (39-14, 1NC, fighting out of Amsterdam, Netherlands), the former STRIKEFORCE heavyweight champion who owns 18 wins by knockout.

Las Vegas ? UFC® today announced a series of important steps to bring mixed martial arts (MMA) events to New York. These efforts include the scheduling of the organization’s first, professional MMA event in New York since the state’s ban in 1997. This event will take place at Madison Square Garden on April 23, 2016 featuring UFC’s top champions competing with other world-class athletes inside the Octagon®. UFC is also taking additional steps through the federal courts to ensure the event’s success.

“We believe fight fans have waited long enough to experience live UFC events in the state of New York and we are thrilled to announce our first event at Madison Square Garden,” UFC Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Lawrence Epstein said. “Professional MMA is legal around of the world and it is about time New York followed suit.”

In August, UFC filed an appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit – the federal appellate court with jurisdiction over New York – stating that New York’s prohibition of regulated professional MMA events violates the First Amendment rights of athletes and fans throughout the state.

On September 28, UFC filed a new case in federal court, reiterating its claim that the New York law banning MMA events is unconstitutional. This out-of-date law is too unclear for the public to understand, and has allowed regulators in New York to pick and choose arbitrarily what events they will permit. Events featuring every combat sport except MMA seem to be allowed in New York, though this is not explicitly stated in the law. The statute, and the state’s pattern of enforcing it, violates the Constitution’s prohibition on unconstitutionally vague laws.

Later this week, UFC will ask a federal judge to issue a preliminary injunction against New York state officials enforcing its unconstitutional law. Without such an injunction, the event at Madison Square Garden will not be able to proceed.

Las Vegas – UFC’s December to remember will be highlighted by an unprecedented three-event fight week featuring some of the sport’s biggest stars. The action begins Thursday, December 10 as No. 6 strawweight contender Paige VanZant battles No. 8 Joanne Calderwood on UFC FIGHT PASS® in the main event of UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: VanZANT vs. CALDERWOOD. The following night No. 2 featherweight contender Frankie Edgar and No. 3 Chad Mendes serve as the marquee bout of The Ultimate Fighter®: Team McGregor vs. Team Faber Finale. Both events will take place at The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

The blockbuster weekend culminates Saturday night when the first featherweight champion in UFC history, Jose Aldo, and interim champion Conor McGregor, finally settle their differences in the main event of UFC® 194®: ALDO vs. McGREGOR.

Former lightweight champion Edgar (18-4-1, fighting out of Toms River, N.J.) looks to secure a shot at the title with a win in the five-round main event of The Ultimate Fighter Finale. “The Answer” is riding a four-fight win streak that includes wins over Mendes’ teammate Urijah Faber, Cub Swanson, UFC legend BJ Penn and Charles Oliveira. A win here would solidify his place as the No. 1 contender in the stacked 145-pound division. Mendes (17-3, fighting out of Sacramento, Calif.) looks to get back in the win column after a short notice loss to McGregor in July. With a full camp behind him, the Team Alpha Male standout is confident the result will be different and that he will leave the Octagon® in line for another shot at championship gold.

Setting the stage for Edgar and Mendes will be the much anticipated return of third-ranked lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov (22-0, fighting out of Dagestan, Russia), who looks to keep his perfect record intact when he meets No. 9 Tony Ferguson (20-3, fighting out of Ventura, Calif.). Ferguson is coming off back-to-back Performance of the Night victories, and he hopes to climb into the top five of the division by handing Nurmagomedov the first loss of his career.

Monterrey, Mexico– After two successful event sell-outs in Mexico City for UFC® 180 and UFC® 188, UFC® conquers new territory with UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: BROWN vs GASTELUM, scheduled for November 21 in Arena Monterrey, in Monterrey, Mexico.

Kelvin Gastelum, Ricardo Lamas, Diego Sanchez, Erik Perez, Leandro Silva, Efrain Escudero, Hector Urbina and Henry Cejudo were present at the press conference, which took place today at Hotel Habita in Monterrey, Mexico.

Headlining the November card is the five-round main event featuring UFC® welterweights Matt “The Immortal” Brown (22-13, fighting out of Cincinnati, Ohio), and Kelvin Gastelum (12-1, fighting out of Yuma, Ariz.). UFC® FIGHT NIGHT: BROWN vs GASTELUM will mark Mexico’s second event of 2015 as well as the season finale of The Ultimate Fighter® Latin America 2, where two fighters from the famous reality show will be crowned champions.

In addition, Ricardo “The Bully” Lamas (14-4, fighting out of Chicago, Ill.) goes up against Diego “The Dream” Sanchez (27-7, fighting out of Albuquerque, N.M.) in a featherweight showdown. Lamas, who challenged for the 145lb. belt in 2014 against Jose Aldo, will bring his black belt jiu-jitsu skills to the Octagon® against The Ultimate Fighter® season one winner and 21 fight UFC® veteran Sanchez.
