Another packed house is anticipated at the world famous Sportsmen’s Lodge Event Center in Studio City, California on Saturday, May 14, 2016 with the triumphant return of Valley Fight Night – the ONLY professional boxing show in the San Fernando Valley.

Presented by Top Rank in association with Bash Boxing, Valley Fight Night will feature undefeated California prospects from the Top Rank stable including Riverside’s Super Featherweight sensation Saul “Kid Dinamita” Rodriguez (19-0-1, 14KOs), Imperial’s Heavyweight contender Andy “Destroyer” Ruiz Jr. (26-0, 17KOs), and rising South El Monte Welterweight Arnold Barbosa Jr. (11-0, 4KOs).

The explosive Rodriguez, who is coming off a first round destruction of former prospect Ivan Najera (16-1) last November, is currently scheduled to take on an equally explosive foe in former World Title Challenger Daulis Prescott (31-3, 23KOs) over ten rounds. Meanwhile, Ruiz, who is the current NABF and WBO Inter-Continental Heavyweight Champion, will look to continue his dream of becoming the first ever Mexican Heavyweight World Champion. While impressing the local fight scene at similar venues in Glendale, Burbank, and Hollywood the past two years, Barbosa will make his Sportsmen’s Lodge debut against Puerto Rico’s John Nater (15-7, 11KOs).

Also appearing on the undercard will be the California return of Brazilian star Esquiva Falcao (13-0, 10KOs). Falcao has rapidly risen in the rankings since parlaying his 2012 London Olympics Silver Medal into a Top Rank promotional agreement. Falcao will take on upset minded Paul Valenzuela Jr., who knocked off previously undefeated prospect Antonio Gutierrez (17-0-1) this time last year.

Fans entertained by Toka Khan Clary (18-0, 12KOs) and his 6h round knockout of Gabino Cota during February’s Valley Fight Night at the Sportsmen’s Lodge will be treated to a return engagement by the undefeated Lightweight prospect from Providence, Rhode Island. Southpaw Clary will square off against Nicaraguan Orlando Rizo (19-6, 11KOs) in a bout scheduled for 10 rounds or less.

Rounding out the card will be a trio of young local fighters in Westminster’s Carlos Licona (6-0), Santa Ana’s Bryan Flores (3-0), and Abraham Lopez from Rowland Heights.

Valley Fight Night 9 will be presented by Top Rank in association with Bash Boxing.
